A few frequently asked questions that I would like to address upfront:
1. I DO NOT ALLOW DOGS TO SWIM IN MY POOL
2. You must provide your OWN internet either by MIFI or using your phone as a hot spot. I'm in the country with no internet/cable, that's the appeal :)
3. spray sunscreen strictly prohibited at the pool. It stains furniture and concrete pool deck.

OWNER LIVES ON FARM

My very private one Bedroom pool house nestled among a lovely hedge and fenced in yard on my private and pristine horse farm. Sleeps 3.

Upstairs spiral staircase loft with upscale bedding and Memory foam Mattress!! 2 closets and 4 drawers built in and ceiling fan.

Fully stocked kitchen with pots and pans, blender, toaster, Cuisinart auto grind coffee maker, air popcorn popper and plastic cocktail glasses etc. Stone counters! Marble top bay window overlooking beautiful pastures of horses. Stone counter top eating area with two counter stools.

Living room has a Crate and Barrel pull out bed loveseat and one large comfy chair. TV and DVD player. Ceiling fan and 2 sets of french doors.

SALT WATER pool. Pool has a sit out (12 inches of water) with umbrella! Covered porch with patio furniture and outdoor fireplace. Pergola with 3 outdoor fans to keep you cool at the pool.
Connect to the Bluetooth and use the outdoor speakers at the pool/porch or use the radio or plug in (cord provided) and use your iPod!

New COVERED Outdoor dining area for 8. Outdoor InfaRed grill.

New Covered triangular pergola with lounge chairs and stone and brick patio.

House is 465 S. Ft. and built on the "tiny House" concept. The spiral staircase is more than adequate but certainly not built for extra extra large individuals. This home was built to take advantage of the pastoral and pool views with lots of windows and doors!

W/D in pool closet.

I can arrange/put you in touch with a fantastic massage therapist.

1/4 mile grass horse track great for your morning run!

If your bring horses (extra charge $35/per day stall and or turnout paddock NO CRIBBERS OR WOOD CHEWERS ALLOWED): Stalls and large private paddocks and turnout pastures. Barn has 8 12x12 fully matted stalls, WD in barn and half bath, hot water wash rack. Perimeter track for riding. Nearby trails. 8 miles to center of town.

STRICTLY NON SMOKING - anywhere on the property

New FENCED IN POOL HOUSE AREA!! PETS are considered one a case by case basis. Your pet must be VERY friendly and get along well with others. I have 3 dogs (one is scared of other dogs.) on the property as well as a pot bellied pig, Your pet must not put any of my pets in harms way. Your pet must be up to date with all vaccinations and flea medication. You will be financially responsible for any and all accidents that occur with any of my animals or yours, due to bringing your pet onto the farm. Please think this thru before asking to bring your pet. This is my beloved animals home.

I DO NOT OFFER HORSEBACK RIDING.

OWNER LIVES ON PREMESIS

IMPORTANT: Electric gate MUST BE CLOSED due to animals. Upon DEPARTURE YOU MUST WAIT 30 SECONDS FOR THE GATE TO CLOSE. When arriving at the property the dogs (if outside) will likely follow you up the drive to greet you so don't worry about the gate on arrival.

POOL HOUSE gates MUST BE closed at all times due to animals.

Theresa was wonderful. She assisted finding a wonderful masseust, and sent us to a polo match we would never have found within close distance. Her place is adorable. The pool was spectacular and our horses were in the paddock behind the pool so we could watch them. She share quail eggs with us and we learned that we loved them. We also enjoyed her garden and a tour of her foul (bird) park. The location was close to everything Aiken, but still in the country. The R and R we needed.

Everything was enjoyable except the mattress as it needs to be replaced as well as pillows and sheets. Beautiful setting and we so enjoyed the quiet and rural setting. Hope to return. Theresa was a gracious hostess.

Perfect equestrian girls getaway!!

We had a great time in Theresa's perfect getaway cottage on her absolutely gorgeous property! Everything is lovely down to the last detail! Idyllic poolside outdoor living room, beautiful view, thoughtful touches throughout and even fresh eggs straight from the coop! Can't say enough good things about our experience! If I runaway from home, this is where I'm heading!

Outstanding Property!!

Beautiful property - Theresa has created a wonderful and peaceful escape. Her pool house is tucked away surrounded by meticulous maintained pastures and gardens. She was a gracious host ensuring we had everything we needed. The private saltwater pool added to the feel of a 5-star resort, in fact our 9 year old daughter stated she wanted to come back to Theresa's instead of the beach. We will definitely be returning in the fall. Thanks for a wonderful get away!

Did Not Want To Leave

One of THE best vacation rentals I’ve ever had. We miss it so much already! My daughter and I stayed for five perfect nights. We had privacy with a pool to ourselves which is just an incredible combination - but then surrounded by so much beauty. Flowers, pastures, horses, beautiful storm clouds at times because you could see so far, birds, fabulous butterflies everywhere, the sweetest dogs and of course the piggy!! The house was adorable, spotless and cozy! I can’t say enough about the pool - sparkling clean and always a perfect refreshing temperature. I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you Theresa for such a piece of heaven and for being such a sweet hostess!!

We brought the horses along for a great time !

We arrived in the pouring rain and were greeted by our cheery host , Theresa . She provided all we needed for a wonderful stay for us as well as our horses . The paddocks are super safe with great fencing and the stalls were perfect . We loved being able to relax in the cute guest house and look out over the paddocks just a few feet away and keep an eye on our horses . The cottage was the perfect size for the two of us . We regretted we didn't get to enjoy a fire but did relax for a bit by the pool ! A short drive away you will find the cute downtown area of Aiken with lots of great shops and restaurants . However the highlight for us was trailering over to Hitchcock Woods where we road rode for hours each day . Theresa was a great host and we look forward to coming back again with our horses and staying longer !

Truly outstanding..Beautiful

I'd really like to give this stay a full five star..but I can't, you see 5 stars really don't do it justice. The property is beautiful so well taken care of and clean. Theresa has done an outstanding job with this place, we are horse people too and very jealous of her place. They lay out is perfect for the horses. Now for the house it's self, well its so charming and clean has everything you could want or need to make your stay perfect. The pool is an added plus, being from Spokane where we don't get a lot of humidity and heat, the pool was a blessing in the afternoons to cool off in. Pool was always clean. Theresa is an OUTSTANDING host, this is by far the BEST home away place we have stayed in. One added thing I can think of is to have an ironing board and iron..in case you need to tidy up your wrinkled clothes from your trip. Other than that, Thank you Theresa for a WONDERFUL stay and experience. We LOVED IT. IF we could, I'd give Theresa's place a solid 10 Star rating. For anyone who may be looking for a place to stay and bring horse's...this would be it. Thanks Theresa..Laura and Roger Koepke,Spokane Wa.

Cannot say enough good things

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here so much! it was perfect for a little getaway with our newborn son, it’s quiet but still only 15 minutes away from town. The pool was amazing we got to relax and watch the foals play in the field, horse person or not it is the perfect place for a little vacation! The property was very clean, Theresa made sure we had everything we need and was great to talk to. We cannot wait to go back!

Simply perfect!

Have stayed twice and will be back. Theresa's horse farm is magnificent. You will be hard pressed to find a better spot to unwind than at this beautiful pool house. If you have a toddler that loves animals (I think all do:) this place is for you! Great for a couple's getaway too!

Perfect little oasis tucked inside the most beautiful horse farm!

We just returned from a 5 day stay at LIGARA Farms and can't say enough great things about this little slice of heaven! My wife and I brought our 6 year old daughter to experience a different kind of family vacation from our typical beach/mountain trip and we are so glad we did. The saltwater pool was clean, refreshing, private and situated right in between multiple pastures containing a mixture of beautiful stallions and mares that entertained us all day and night. Right in front of the pool was a pasture with two gorgeous mares and their two little foals that we got to enjoy all day long! The mix of genuine farm life and total spa like relaxation made for a perfect family getaway. Theresa was over and above a gracious and hospitable host for us! She even let my wife and daughter tag along to feed the horses with her a few times. Our daughter enjoyed all of the farm animals - multiple sweet dogs, hens, roosters, Flower the pig, cats, and all of the horses. She hasn't stopped talking about it all. Moreover, the pool house was perfectly appointed with everything we needed right there on site. We are still very COVID conscious and so decided to bring all of our own food and drinks to cook on our own and Theresa even had fresh eggs from the hens ready in the fridge for our arrival. The house had all of the necessities needed to make our meals. The ONLY thing I'd say that is even remotely "negative" about the house is the pullout couch is not the best nights sleep - but are any, really? Otherwise, the house was clean, comfortable and everything you need for an enjoyable time! Thank you SO much, Theresa, for a wonderful trip! We'll be back again soon! :)

AMAZING!!!

My husband and I were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary and wanted something private with a pool, this place was so perfect! Theresa was great and always available in case you needed something, pool was absolutly Amazing! The views and the horses were so beautiful to see everyday. The fresh eggs was such a good surprise. The pool house has everything you need and is super cute! Perfect for us! The fireplace was great as well! This was the perfect place for us to celebrate, we couldn't have ask for better, we loved it so much! Sooo Perfect! We will definitely be back!

Peaceful relaxing getaway!

We just returned from a much needed escape to Theresa's pool house! We had the most wonderful four days and will definitely book again next summer! The house is absolutely precious and has everything you need to have a true stay-cation! Hit the grocery store before you come and there will never be any reason for you to leave. We did venture into Aiken on our first night in town and it a very cute little town with many restaurant choices and even a brewery. The pool is gorgeous and was the perfect temperature and is surrounded by very comfortable lounge chairs. There is also a beautiful covered living area with a fireplace outside for evening relaxing. The whole yard is fenced in which was perfect because we had brought our basset hound and the views were breathtaking! Everywhere you looked were gorgeous horses grazing and even two babies still nursing from their mommies. Theresa was a very kind and generous host who shared her fresh eggs and even messaged to check on us, although I was so relaxed I never even checked my email! Although their home is right next door, you would never know it. It is completely private! All their pets are friendly and welcoming, just like their mother! We can't wait to go back!

Perfect getaway

We loved everything about our stay! If you love farm life or the idea of it then you will love it! It was so nice and quiet and peaceful. You have complete privacy laying by the pool and watching the horse graze. Theresa was incredibly responsive and helpful! We cant wait to stay again.

Totally awesome

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the farm - it is just as described. The horses were majestic, the fresh eggs were delicious, Flower (the pig) was funny, and our dogs enjoyed playing with the resident dogs. The pool house and salt water pool were in pristine condition. This vacation was exactly what I wanted. We were far enough away to feel transported and yet close enough to get to a grocery store for the things we forgot. I definitely want to stay again. Loved it!

Relaxing

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and the first half of our vacation here and it was great. It rained/ stormed everyday but we were able to enjoy the pool for a couple of hours one day. We enjoyed the view of the horses everyday! Very nice setup! Piece and quiet away from the business of our schedules was exactly what we needed. Oh... And we did get to see the pot belly pig!! 😁 thank you Theresa for sharing.

An awesome retreat

Pool. Horses. Milkyway...what else does one need :) What an amazing and relaxing long weekend it was....The Pool house felt very safe, it was well maintained and private with a direct view of the horses doing their thing...Theresa was very nice and welcoming. Fun and relaxing stay!

Theresa was a wonderful host. She had fresh picked flowers waiting for us in the pool house. She greeted us warmly when we got there then left us to our own devices. She was quick to respond to any messages or questions we had. The property is beautiful and there is something so fun about a pool with horses as your view. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Pack yourself some books or download some audiobooks and enjoy your stay!

Ideal Getaway

When the host welcomed us by saying, “ Make yourselves at home,” she meant it. We couldn’t have felt more at home in this lovely pool house with a gorgeous fenced-in outside space. It has everything you need for a long weekend or an extended stay. The personal touches, including fresh eggs and local recommendations, are added bonuses. If you are looking for some time away from it all, we highly recommend Theresa’s Pool House.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay!!!

The pool house is gorgeous. It's like your own private resort. Beautiful covered living room and dining outdoor space with gorgeous stone fireplace. Windows and light everywhere. Came with our horses and the barn and paddocks were just perfect. 20 min trailer ride into the woods for great trail riding. And a wide track to exercise horses on the farm. Theresa was a lovely host and greeted us with flowers in the pool house and fresh eggs from her chickens. Flower the pig was adorable as were the farm dogs. The pool house is fenced in and our dogs loved the space. Lots of chairs for lounging around the pool!! Very close to downtown Aiken for shopping and dining. A perfect place to relax. So peaceful! Very pretty landscaping. It truly is the gem of Aiken and we will be back!! Thank you Theresa for making our stay just awesome!!

I'm a polo player, fox hunter and former DC investment banker. I live on my private horse farm I created myself from a raw cornfield. I'm a huge animal lover. The farm is home to my pot bellied pig named Flower, 3 dogs, and usually anywhere from 6-25 horses and numerous chickens. I also train young horses. Come enjoy my private setting and bring a horse or two if need be. Just ask about stabling!
