Luxury Beachfront Home on Soft White Sand Beach

A beachfront oasis where the Chesapeake meets the Atlantic awaits your arrival. Come down and relax on two large decks overlooking a mile-long private white sandy beach with views to the eastern shore!

Built in 2010, our home boasts all of the modern amenities. Downstairs is a spacious kitchen with stainless steel appliances overlooking the large living and dining room. Through the sliding doors is the outdoor dining area with a gas grill and seating for 8. You will also find a bedroom with a queen bed, a second bedroom with twin-size bunk beds, and a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer. Finally there is a full bath with a custom stained glass window.

Upstairs is the master bedroom with cathedral ceilings and custom stained glass window, opening to a deck. Enjoy magnificent ocean views and the beautiful Virginia sunrises right from your king sized bed. A second large king bedroom awaits your guests. Next door is a large attached bonus bedroom with a twin bed and seating area. There is a full bathroom on the second floor.

If having a green vacation appeals to you, the house has not used any power from the grid since we installed solar panels on the roof in 2018! You can also charge your electric vehicle with our level 2 charger.

A major beach replenishment project was completed in the 2020. The beach has never looked better or been more inviting. Please keep this in mind as you read some of the older reviews as the issues that were appropriately raised at the time no longer exist. It is amazing to see how 11,000 tons of sand can transform the waterfront. We can't wait for you to come see it!

With the beach at your doorstep the water activities are endless. The beach is very family friendly, with shallow warm waters and gentle waves. Located only an hour from Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Enjoy local eateries, antiquing, and wineries right down the road. Of course, when on the Chesapeake, you can do as the locals do and go bird watching, fishing and crabbing.

Stick your feet in the sand and soak in the sun at our secluded beach getaway!

This house sits directly on the beach with a gorgeous view of water. We spent a lot of the time in the water.since they have an outdoor shower you don’t need to shower inside. The house has two balconies so it easy to view the beach.inside is spacious and easily handled 7 of us. Downside a lot of steps for and older person but unavoidable with it being on pillars and two stories.

Beautiful house, great location

This house is really nice for an extended family, especially with small children. The cove is steps from the house, the water is clean, and the waves are gentle. We loved the screened porch. The kitchen is pretty well equipped, and we cooked every night. We hope to return!

Family vacation

The location of the property was great. Our family enjoyed being on the beautiful beach. 4 adults and 1 child slept very comfortable. We encountered some issues: grill not working, ants in kitchen, ripped screens enclosing screened in porch. Overall, we had a great trip.

The perfect vacation spot

I’m not sure what I can say other than this property was perfect and fit all the needs of my family. It was so perfect that one of my youngsters took the training wheels off his bike and succeeded. I think he’ll compete in the Tour de France eventually! We saw deer, bald eagles, wild turtles and tons of sea life. All the neighbors are great, there are no strangers in Bavon! This place is a must stay for any family.

small private beach just beyond back yard

Beach and back bay was ideal for toddlers. House was nice for multiple families. Although upstairs you need to walk through master bedroom to get to back bedrooms. But that worked for us. Screened in porch nice to gather and relax. We ate all our meals out there except for a couple when it was too hot.

7/30-8/6/2022 This was our first stay on the Chesapeake Bay. Tranquility lived up to its name. The house was lovely- spotless upon arrival. We were not bothered by the upstairs bedroom set up. Homeowners might consider putting in French doors between the 2 back rooms though. It would give a bit more privacy to each room. The room with the twin bed could even have a queen bed and a bunk or trundle bed as well- plenty of room. That twin mattress was extremely uncomfortable for a weeks worth of sleep. That is my only “complaint”. The views from the master bed waking up each morning were phenomenal!! Sitting on the upper deck was relaxing and peaceful listening to the waves and the insects each morning and evening. The kitchen was huge and had everything we needed to cook each night! Dining in the screened in porch each evening was fun for our family. The kids & teens played games each evening or walked along the beach to see all the night creatures! We rented paddle boards that were dropped off and picked up at the end of the week- couldn’t have been easier! The bay is perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding or floating in a noodle chair! Most days we were the only family on the beach! The water was warm and very little seaweed. My girls are older but it is a perfect beach for young children as it is very shallow for a good distance out. We did an excursion to Colonial Williamsburg one day and it was just under an hours drive. We tend to try different destinations each year but Tranquility is on the top of my saved list! Quiet Family Beach Week

This house was simple, but the location is ideal, especially if you like a quiet, low-key beach getaway. While there are other house on the beach and it might not always happen, we had the cove to ourselves all week. I'm sure there are never more than a handful of families on this private beach. We had nice walks towards the lighthouse and even had family photos taken.

Great location!

We chose this property for the great location and private beach and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed peaceful walks up the Natural Preserve shore and absolutely beautiful sunrises. Great spot for kayaking or floating on a raft with kids. The house was cozy and kitchen well equipped. The layout of the upstairs bedrooms is unusual, but we made it work.

Amazing!!!

This was my family’s second stay here and my Pennsylvania family’s first stay. It was amazing! Perfect getaway for the week. We were on the beach everyday and loved every minute of it. Even getting caught in the rain! The host was very quick to respond to messages and very friendly! You won’t regret staying here!

Very quiet and secluded

The property was adequate for our family of 6 adults. The upstairs would be ideal for a family with small children, since there is less privacy, but we made the best of it. The property is very secluded, and I think our late summer vacation made it even more so. The nicer restaurants were closed during the week. We ate in nearly every meal, which in the end suited us fine. The weather during our week was extremely hot! The a/c in the house was amazing and made our stay very comfortable. We anchored 2jet skis in the bay and that worked out quite well. Finding a boat ramp was challenging but finally we discovered a public ramp on Rt. 608.

Wonderful vacation spot

This home was perfect for a peaceful vacation. The neighborhood is small and private and the house was spacious for our family trip (all adults). The beach access could not be beat- private beachfront, no crowds, and clean, calm water. We rented paddle boards and enjoyed walks on the beach/nature preserve. As previous reviewers noted, the upstairs layout of the house is something to be aware of (needing to walk through master to get to other rooms, no door leading to master from downstairs) but was not at all a bother for us. The bright sunrise each morning was beautiful and welcomed. The owners were easy to reach and very helpful leading up to and during our stay. Highly recommend this rental and we hope to return some day!
