REMIGIU Typical residence with a wonderful sea view in the 5 Terre national park

REMIGIU is a holiday home located inside an ancient and small village called Porciana, in the heart of the Cinqueterre National Park, 2 minutes by car from the village of Volastra in the municipality of Riomaggiore.
The name Remigiu or more simply Piccolo Rè, reflects a bit the locality or small Kingdom of Remigiu.
Remigiu overlooks with its panoramic terrace in front of Punta Mesco, where you can watch spectacular sunsets, and have a 360 ° view of the Golfo delle Cinqueterre.
Inside you will find, on the first floor a double bedroom, a bedroom with two beds and a large bathroom, while on the upper floor there is a very welcoming and bright living room with a kitchenette, a sofa bed, and the second bathroom.
The structure of the house still retains the features and characteristics of a country cottage, paying attention to the finishes and decorations on the walls, all elaborated with taste and simplicity.
The rooms of Casa Remigiu are air conditioned and equipped with armored doors and windows. Including satellite TV.
Remigiu is located inside the family farm where you can find the vegetable garden, the olive grove, the vineyards and the orchard still cultivated with love and dedication.
Located in the heart of the Cinque Terre national park, surrounded by vineyards, along the path of the sanctuaries with breathtaking views! Total sea view !!
Possibility to host up to six people.

This was our second stay at this lovely place. An ideal base for hiking all the upper trails, well equipped for cooking, comfortable bed, cozy yet spacious, and that million-dollar view from the upstairs balcony... We loved everything about it! Caveats: there's no WiFi, so if you are attached to your phone, that may be a problem. And a car is a necessity, even if only for initial grocery shopping. It's a solid 20-minute walk to Volastra and closer to an hour of steep descent down to Corniglia, so there's no popping out for a quick espresso.

It was difficult to find. Directions were not explicit. Without a car the location made it difficult to enjoy the local villages after dark as we had to travel on part of the trail network to leave and then reach the property everyday. However the view was amazing and the property was very convenient to the trails.

Simply Amazing !

What a beautiful place tucked in the mountains… it is 1km north of Volastra. The place has everything you need and a espectacular view. I would absolutely stay there again if we are back in cinque Terre! Lovely place!

This is a very nice appartment located in a phantastic area. All rooms were clean and pleasently furnished. From here you can reach the whole 5 Terre very good. Great Shopping you can made in the beautiful City of La Spezia. We would like to do here holidays again.

Remigiu is a place of immense beauty and rugged tranquility. As with anything this enjoyable there is an amount of effort to be able to experience it.Whatever you may be thinking after parking on the road to begin your walk down to the “Place”With luggage in tow you will be rewarded beyond any expectations as you rest and unwind on the terrace while the scent of Jasmine and Hydrangea envelope your nose.As the church bell tolls from Corniglia in the town perched perfectly below in view, you begin to appreciate the blessing of being able to enjoy this place I call heaven on earth!!I promise if you give this place a chance you will be forever enriched with memories of a lifetime!

Perfect choice, Amazing property and hosts!

This has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Lovely, updated and comfortable apartment in an historic home with the most breathtaking views you can imagine. The property is located conveniently in the middle of the five villages, and is an easy walk to one of them. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and gracious, I wish that I could have stayed so much longer!

Lovely area

Our family of 5 really enjoyed this home. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the Cinque Terre towns, but close enough to walk to a couple of them. There’s a small town about a 10-minute walk along the trail that goes by the home, but there are sharp drop-offs, so it might now be great for families with toddlers. We did a lot of walking while here and you need to know that if you walk to any of the Cinque Terre towns, you have to walk back UP. We are in good shape, but the 1,000 ft climb back up to the house takes some energy! There was a heat wave while we were there, so it was important to carry water with you. There are public fountains where you can fill your bottle up. The back porch of the home has WONDERFUL sunset views every night and was definitely the highlight of our stay there. Absolutely beautiful and we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

awesome view, comfortable accommodations

We picked the perfect place to stay!! We wanted to hike the path and this location was central!! The water view from the spacious deck was spectacular! Perfect place to watch sunsets!! More room in apartment than we needed!! Hosts were extremely kind and shared wine, vegetables, and fruit from their garden. You won't find a better place! It's a perfect location, just a 10-minute walk out of town, to the quietness of the vineyards.

Stunning view

Best view in Cinque Terre! We had espresso in the mornings and wine in the evenings on the balcony. Clean, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Great space for 2 adults and 2 teens. It is a little remote, but easy 20 min walk to Volastra or catch the bus outfront 4 times a day. Highly recommend. The trail between Volastra/Manarola to Corniglia goes through the beautiful back yard.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location to explore Cinque Terre

We had a great stay at this lovely and clean apartment with beautiful views over Cinque Terre. The cozy apartment was perfect for our family of four for four nights in one of the most beautiful places in Italy. It was a perfect spot for hiking and driving to nearby towns, though the hike back up was tough at the end of the day. The house was set up for cooking, with some essentials left over from others (oil, sugar, salt, etc.), and so we made some meals at home. Barbara was helpful and responsive, making us feel welcome from the start.

Spectacular location and exceptional hosts. I will try to describe our amazing experience here. 10-15 walk outside Vernazza, right on the walking path between Manarola and Corniglia. With a car you park at the top and walk the steps down to the house. The view- can’t be beat. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the morning with our coffee and at night with our wine. The house is well equipped and although we didn’t cook in the kitchen, it had a stovetop espresso maker which was perfect for us. We walked to manarola and back one day, next day walked to corniglia and then the train to the other 3 villages (2 couples- 50-65 years old) We had some rain but we still enjoyed our first visit to the region. Our visit was enhanced even more by the warm hospitality by the owner and her daughter that live below. She came up to get rid of a bees nest under the gutter on our balcony. Afterwards they gave us a tour of their hillside gardens and tasted so many delicious fruits and veggies. We returned with a basket full, including figs- our favorite! Thanks to her daughter and google translate we were able to overcome the language barrier. She invited us back for dinner and made us the best pesto, focaccia and dessert. A true Ligurian culinary delight! Their kindness and generosity were the highlight of our trip and will never be forgotten. We truly felt like family

Spectacular View

Barbara and Rina welcomed us with open arms to this quaint farmhouse in a magical setting. We had experienced a harrowing day of having our car broken into at Pisa and having everything stolen. Rina was so sweet to share one of her delicious bottles of wine! Barbara could be found working in the beautiful backyard and garden with a continual smile on her face. I can't even begin to describe how beautiful the view of the Ligurian Sea and two of the Cinque Terra towns is. The farmhouse sets right on the walking trail from Maranola and Corniglia. The walk to Volastra is about 20 minutes on a breathtaking trail with vineyards along the path. The only slightly negative was the bunkbeds for people who are 60+. Sleeping on the top bunk was a trick....we have had loads of laughs about that. All in all this place is a touch of heaven. We all hope to return. We would all highly recommend the farmhouse. A view worth the effort

The most outstanding feature of Remigiu is the spectacular view of the Cinque Terre coast and villages. However, to get there, you have to walk down 89 (we counted) stony steps. The other approach is a rocky trail 25 minutes from the village Volastra. We found that both were part of the experience of our stay. There is good bus service from the village to Manarola where you can get the train or ferry to all the other Cinque Terre villages. The property description said (and continues to say) that there is wi-fi connection. There was not any during our stay. That could have been a temporary problem, but it was a disappointment because we couldn't share our wonderful visit and pictures with friends until we left. The kitchen didn't really ae enough glasses and mugs for the number of people who could stay there. And, surprisingly, no wine glasses. We really also needed a small sharp knife. But the view made up for everything.

The view is the main selling point

We saw nicer places on the website of the company that rents out this place The apartment is located on the side of the hill. You park on a narrow strip on the side of the road and have to take quite some stairs down to the apartment itself. It is not located in Riomaggiore as the name suggested but 15-20 drive away. There was no one to great us, but we received a pdf with instructions via WhatsApp wit a video on where to go and the code for the keylocker outside. The people that lived below did not speak English, and we were only informed about where to put the trash even after asking during the week. (required a key which we got on the last evening) We found the apartment to be below expectation in cleanliness, especially the kitchen. Also, the furniture was outdated and the balcony furniture was a joke. Also, there is no internet, and the satellite TV is not working. The garden is not adjecant to the apartment, but under it so you have to close the door if you want to sit there because the door. Is on a walk path between the villages so lots of hikers pass it. Pros: the view and the airconditioning.

A beautiful place with a million dollar view!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place with the million dollar view! Watching the gorgeous sunset from the balcony was just wonderful! The property is well maintained, the family is so kind, and the apartment is very nice. We would stay here again for sure!! The Cinque Terre trail runs right through the backyard, making it very convenient. It is a 15 minute trail walk from the house to Volastra where you can catch the bus to go into Manarola, which is the closest town. In Manarola, you can access the regional train system to take you to each of the towns. I would recommend getting a Cinque Terre day pass card (14 euros each) if you plan to spend time going from town to town. Otherwise, it is 4 euros each time you get on the train. The pass is well worth the money and you get to see all of the towns. Of course, you can also walk all or some of the trails, which we did. It is important to note that the day pass card is only good for the day that you purchased it (not for a 24 hour period). Since there is a 15 minute walk on the trail to get to the house after you get off the bus, it is important to make sure you head back in daylight otherwise you would be walking on the trails in the dark, which we didn't want to try. We took a taxi twice from Manarola to the house when we got back after dark. The cost was 25 euros one way (there were four of us, not sure if the number of people matters). Our driver was wonderful! This is a great place to stay!

Nous avons passé un excellent sejour dans la residence, malgré une deception à l ' arrivée. En effet, l' annonce met en avant le jardin tant par les photos que le descriptif, ainsi que la présence d'un barbecue. Ces informations sont erronées car l ' acces au jardin n'est pas autorisé et est occupé par la famille du propriétaire. Néanmoins, le lieu est magique, avec un emplacement ideal sur le tracé du GR des cinques terres. La gentillesse de la mère du propriétaire et des autres résidents nous a fait oublier ce désagrément. A noter aussi que l' accès à la maison peut etre complexe pour les personnes avec des difficultés de mobilité, mais ce qui est courant sur la region. La maison est bien équipée. La terrasse permet de profiter pleinement de la beauté du lieu.

Die Lage ist wirklich sehr schön, allerdings liegt das Haus direkt auf dem stark frequentierten Wanderweg, dies wurde so in der Beschreibung auch nicht beschrieben!

Die Aussicht ist sicher die schönste der ganzen cinqueterre, die wir jeden Abend von der Terrrasse genossen haben. Man kann von der Haustür direkt in zwei Richtungen loswandern und sich, wenn man will, bis Volastra mit dem Bus zurückbringen lassen. Von dort ca. 20 Minuten auf einem der schönsten Abschnitte des Wanderwegs zum Haus zurück. Die Unterkunft überzeugt, Zimmer funkional, Bäder sehr schön, alles gut augestattet und sehr sauber. Schöner Garten, nette Gastgeberin.

Traumhafte Lage

Das Haus ist toll. Die Lage mit diesem Blick ist fantastisch. Die Gastgeberinnen sind eine gute Seele und immer Hilfsbereit. Die Verständigung ist lustig (Deepl.com sei dank). Man sollte aber gut zu Fuß sein. Parken an der Strasse ist kein Problem. Der Wanderweg führt direkt am Haus entlang und man sofort in die Erkundung der Region einsteigen
