The Grand Arbor invites you to renew your connection with the healing power of the earth. Escape into the heart of 42 secluded acres of wooded forest. This four bedroom, three and a half bath family vacation log cabin home is the perfect place to rest and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. This property sleeps 16.

The 2900 square foot cabin was constructed in 2004 and is located in south-eastern Indiana, less than one hour west of Cincinnati or one hour east of Indianapolis in the Metamora/Brookville area. Conveniently located only 10 minutes from Brookville State Park and 5 minutes from the quaint historical town of Metamora, this secluded getaway welcomes you and your guests. Some of our recent visitors tell us that that the Grand Arbor feels like mountain chalet due to its spacious interior.

With large glass windows overlooking a mature woods and creek, the Grand Arbor is nestled in a valley with a southern exposure. Surrounding hiking trails and a multitude of fun outdoor activities are bountiful. Due to its picturesque and convenient location, the Grand Arbor truly is an ideal place for weekend getaways, vacations, family reunions, wedding receptions, Bachelor/Bachelorette parties, fishing trips, golf trips and even corporate retreats. There is a game room in the rec room at the ground level which has shuffleboard, poppa shot, and ping pong. This is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike. The outdoor jacuzzi is popular with guests. This is a great way to relax in the warmth of soothing waters outside and enjoy the natural scenery that surrounds the home. Plenty of acreage to hike and explore the property

Wifi has recently been updated to 100 mbs so there shouldnt be any wifi issues as of summer 2024.

Photos in the listing do not do the cabin justice! Many upgrades and cozy touches are added. We had a great family gathering for the holidays. We enjoyed finding fossils in the creek and large dining table for games.

3rd Year - Very comfortable

This is our 3rd year staying here with a family group.The kitchen and eating area accommodates the entire group which is nice. The beds and bathrooms worked out well for our group of 10. The fire pit is the evening hang out.The town and Brookville Lake area is great.

Overall the cabin was a great getaway and had plenty of things to do! We loved how secluded it was, the family games and the proximity to Metamora and Brookville. The biggest concern was the cleanliness. There were wads of hair in the shower, stuff left in the fridge& freezer, candy wrappers under the couch and a sock and pair of sunglasses on one of the bedroom floor. The beds were also a little uncomfortable but manageable. While it was easy not having check out procedures I think it would help with cleanliness if you insisted all food be taken out of the cabin when leaving and bedsheets and towels be placed in the many hampers throughout the cabin. Overall thank you so much for opening your cabin up to us! We loved our weekend get away.

Great location for groups.

My group stayed here for a nearby event. The interior of the building was great, and accommodated our large group quite well. There were no major issues with the property. The hosts were also extremely helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond for us multiple times leading up to our stay.

Best Family Vacation Ever

The property was beautiful and perfect for all 16 of us. We loved the outdoor space and there was plenty of room in the house. So much to do in the surrounding area if you want to venture out.

Comfortable, spacious, serene, fully loaded with amenities!

This was our third year in a row staying at the Grand Arbor. We love the new bathroom on the first floor and all the upgrades they have made over the years. The location couldn't be more beautiful and the cabin is well maintained! Can't wait to come back next year!

We love this cabin!

Our group has stayed here for a week every year since 2019. The owners and property manager are communicative and helpful. The main floor is open concept and perfect for larger groups. It’s a second home to us that is the perfect space for making memories! We cherish our time there.

Relaxing Getaway

This cabin never disappoints! We are return visitors, and I loved seeing the upgrades to the furniture in the living room and turning the basement into a bedroom and game room. We have a wonderful time relaxing and laughing all weekend. Thank you for keeping this memory alive for us as a family.

Secluded Cabin

Very nice cabin secluded back in the woods. Tons of room inside with lots of bedrooms, large living room and game room. Plenty of area outside for activities. Nice fire pit area and hot tub off the deck. Close enough to Brookville if you need supplies but still feels like you’re miles away from civilization! Recommend!

Family Christmas/New Years

This was a very nice, peaceful property. My adult kids and their significant others and my in-laws stayed here over the New Year's weekend and loved it. Even though it rained most of the weekend, the kids enjoyed the hot tub. We got to hike around the property and enjoy the peace and quiet. Overall, it was a great stay.

Great Place

Annual family gathering - sons, grandkids, brother, and nephews. The cabin is large and spacious. The beds were comfortable and plenty of bathrooms for everyone to use. The kitchen was very well equipped and fire pit area was used every night till after midnight. The town is fairly close and has everything needed. The lake big and with a nice beach area. Already booking next year.

Very quiet and peaceful

Property was very secluded and quiet. We had a group of 11 adults and there was plenty of room. We had a great time together. The water pressure was a little low but wasn't a deal breaker. We stayed clean and comfortable, AC kept us cool! Owners were very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Very nice people.

I enjoy hiking and the outdoors. Prior to owning a log cabin home, I always enjoyed renting log cabins myself. It's a great way to escape the day to day routine of the city/suburban life. We have three kids in our family and our best memories are of the cabin.
