Dominating the village of Conches, this independent villa reconciles the charm and the peace of a unique(only) situation with the numerous activities proposed in the sea resorts of Longeville and the Tranche sur Mer, distant from less than 5 km.
Built in 1960, this family home was entirely renovated in 2010. It benefits of a direct walking access to the beach distant from 1200 m through the forest and the dune.
The villa has been classified 2** in 2019.
Access to the cycle track following the Vendean coast is located 200 m from the house.
The coastal forest and the close by famous « Marais Poitevin » offer numerous walking and biking possibilities. Horse riding is available in one of the 3 horse club located nearby. Surfing, kite surfing and windsurfing are commonly practiced on the nearby beaches – Light sailing facilities available from less than 5 km.

Lovely, quiet spot

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay chez Marie-Louise. The property has been tastefully renovated with quality fittings and is well-equipped (with good wifi too). The position with its views over the garden and the village but right by the path through the forest to the beach is perfect as well as convenient for the cycle tracks. The insect life is lively and so come prepared to control it. We think that 6 people in the house would be a bit challenging with only one loo (although there are 2 shower rooms) but it is perfect for 4 or fewer people. The Super U at La Tranche is a 5 minute drive and there is a market in one of the nearby towns everyday - some are cyclable and if you can wait until 9.30 for breakfast, the bread lady will deliver. The owner of the property provides very helpful guidance in English (so don't worry if your French is not so good). We would stay again without hesitation.

Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war .Lage des Hauses sehr schön, den Weg von 1,2 km zum Strand , durch den schönen Pinienwald haben wir genossen.Sauberkeit, na ja. Ich hätte mir ein frisches Spültuch und einen frischen Schwamm gewünscht und nicht den gebrauchten des Vorgängers. Für mich war das Haus zu teuer

Tolles Haus in wunderbarer Lage

Es hätte ein wunderbarer Urlaub werden können (wenn nicht unser Kind erkrankt wäre und wir vorzeitig abreisen mussten). Das Haus hat durch seine Ausstattung sehr viel Charme, ist sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Die einsame Lage und der kurze Weg zum Strand hat uns sehr gut gefallen und mit dem Fahrrad kann man direkt auf den an der Küste entlang laufenden Radweg gelangen. Leider konnten wir diese Zeit wegen der Krankheit nicht genießen, Gilles war uns aber immer behilflich und sehr gut erreichbar. Merci!

Charmantes Ferienhaus Mitten in der Natur

Das Domizil besticht durch seine Lage auf einem kleinem Hügel am Waldrand, wo sich zur Dämmerung auch eine Eule niederlässt. Der etwa 20-minütige Fußweg zum herrlichen Sandstrand führt ausschließlich durch ein Naturschutzgebiet. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und ansprechend eingerichtet. Das große Grundstück und die großzügige Terrasse runden das positive Gesamtbild ab

Wenn einfach alles passt!

Merci! "Stell Dir vor, es ist Hochsaison und keiner merkt es" - so kam es uns vor. 1.200 Meter bis zum Strand sind eine Art Schutzwall gegen Menschenmassen, denn es gibt zu diesem Strandabschnitt keine Abkürzung und für Nicht-Anlieger auch nur 5 Parkplätze am Ende der Sackgasse. Und so kommt es, dass auch Ende Juli der Strand nahezu menschenleer ist. Sensationell! Das Haus hat (so fanden wir jedenfalls) hat einen ganz besonderen Charme. Es ist stilvoll eingerichtet und neu und alt passen perfekt zusammen. Offensichtlich wurde das Haus über die Jahre hinweg liebevoll gepflegt. Das merkt man dann auch an "Kleinigkeiten" wie z.B. an den bequemen Matratzen... Der Garten und somit auch die Terrasse sind Idylle pur! Nachtrag zu den oben erwähnten 1.200 Metern: der Weg dorthin ist total schön! Der Weg ist viel mehr Lust als Last - herrlich! Alles in allem haben wir uns in diesen (diesmal nur) 7 Tagen sehr, sehr gut erholt! Und hier noch die Impressionen meiner Partnerin: The stay in your house was fantastic - the house is a wonderful mix of old and new - furnished with lots of loving details - not like some sterile holiday apartments or holiday homes with discarded belongings of the owners. The house and garden have a very positive atmosphere, the kitchen is functionally equipped - I didn't miss anything. On the evening of our arrival we watched clouds on the terrace - suddenly one appeared that looked like the silhouette of the head of a friendly old lady ... As I said, a wonderful place for holidays - the terrace and garden are so lovely (also for playing boules). We definitely want to come back. With this in mind - thank you very much for this wonderful week and I hope we'll have the chance to come again next year.

Es war alles wie man es sich wünscht. Die Anzeige entspricht der Unterkunft, die wunderbar ruhig gelegen ist. Beste Kommunikation und reibungsloses Check-in/out. Die Küche ist außergewöhnlich gut ausgestattet und für alle Kochfans bestens gerüstet, es fehlt hier an nichts. Der nahegelegene Pinienwald ist wunderbar, genauso wie der Strand. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, das nächste Mal allerdings unbedingt länger! Vielen Dank!

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé 15 jours très agréable chez ’ Marie- Louise’. C est un petit coin de Vendée que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Les pistes cyclables nous ont permis de faire du vélo sans danger, et la forêt au pied de la maison de grandes promenades. Se rendre à la plage tranquillement par le petit sentier à travers les bois est un véritable plaisir. La maison est simple , propre, idéale pour y passer des vacances . L accueil parfait. Nous pensons y revenir.

Maison très bien située, au calme, baignée de lumière grâce aux grandes porte-fenêtres et avec une jolie terrasse. Plages de sable fin accessibles à pied ou en vélo. Nous y retournerons sans hésitation.

Ruhige Oase nicht weit von wunderschönem Strand

Dieses kleine aber feine Haus ist sehr liebevoll renoviert und bietet alles, was man braucht, um sich zu erholen. Es liegt sehr ruhig am Ende einer Sackgasse, direkt an einem schönen Wald. Geht man durch ihn hindurch, erreicht man in 20 Minuten einen wunderschönen und kilometerlangen Naturstrand, der selbst in der Hochsaison alles andere als überlaufen ist. Im Haus findet man nützliche Tipps für Aktivitäten in der Umgebung - alles auch auf Englisch, was in Frankreich nicht immer üblich ist. Die Kommunikation mit Gilles läuft reibungslos. Fazit: Wir haben Lust, wiederzukommen.

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit viel Komfort

Sehr schön am Waldrand gelegenes, ruhiges Ferienhaus mit schön angelegtem großen Grundstück, das durch seine gute Ausstattung mit wertigen Elektrogeräten, modernen Bädern, schönen alten und neuen Möbeln und vielen kleinen Details überzeugt, wie zum Beispiel die kleine Kiste mit Karten und Flyern. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen französischen Ferienhäusern ist hier die Bettwäsche im Preis inbegriffen, was uns gut gefallen hat. Der Weg zum Strand ist geringfügig weiter als angegeben, dafür wird man mit schönem Sandstrand und viel Abstand zum Nachbarn belohnt. Insgesamt an vielen Stellen das kleine Bisschen schöner, besser ausgestattet und netter als andere Ferienhäuser, die wir in den vergangenen Jahren in der Region gemietet hatten, so dass wir einen wirklich genussvollen Urlaub verbracht haben.

Calme, balade, mer et forêt : tout y était !

La location est conforme au descriptif et la terrasse un plus pour prendre ses repas, lézarder et contempler les tulipes... bien située au calme, bordure de forêt et plage blonde à portée de pieds, commerces et animations à quelques km... les chiens ont apprécié le grand terrain et les balades ! Il y a même la wifi : ouf, notre ado a pu profiter du bronzage et des réseaux sociaux :-).

Hübsches Ferienhaus, gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis

Wir haben uns in dem ruhig gelegenen Ferienhaus zu dritt mit Hund sehr wohlgefühlt und empfehlen das Haus sehr gerne weiter. Herr Recher ist sehr hilfsbereit und spricht hervorragend Englisch, was bei unserem holprigen Französisch von Vorteil war. Das Internet funktioniert sehr gut und ist vor allem schnell. Gewünscht hätten wir uns ein paar Restaurantempfehlungen. Gut Austern essen direkt bei den Züchtern kann man in Guttière/Le Port, auch zum Schwimmen geeignet. Wirklich negatives können wir nicht berichten. Ein paar Tipps für den Vermieter wären, auf der Homepage zu erwähnen, dass es eine sehr gute Waschmaschine im Haus gibt und der Weg zum Strand doch etwas länger als 1200 m ist. Der Außengrill und das Besteck könnten bei Gelegenheit erneuert werden. In den Schränken hätten wir uns etwas mehr Platz für unsere Kleider gewünscht, da waren uns schon Haushaltsgeräte und Bettwäsche zuvor gekommen. Fahrräder wären ein großes Plus.

Thanks a lot for your kind comments. My german being being far from perfect I am not sure I fully grasp everything, please accept my apologize if there is discrepancy or misunderstanding. Indeed the barbecue staying out side during the whole season is rusty and will be changed next year. Thank you also for pointing the lack of space in the cabinets present in the various room. We will look for a solution to free more space. The distance from the house to the beach through the forest, indicated on the site, came from Google maps, using the direct path to the beach. I will check it again and correct if needed. Finally I am concerned by your comment on the missing information on the German web site, as these information are present on the French version of the web site. I will check the German translation done by HomeAway and ask for corrections.

Fabulous location, a property with real character.

Fabulous location with a house of real character and extensive gardens surrounding the property offering splendid open views across the region. Beautiful woodland surrounds the property through which you walk to truly breathtaking beaches. Local towns and places of interest within easier reach, farmers selling their own produce and wonderful seafood. Quality fittings and aesthetic furniture with two excellent showers and a great kitchen from which there are enchanting views through generous windows. Decking great to sit out on with new, quality, sunbeds. Every reason to have a truly memorable and enjoyable holiday.
