Upper Calffield Barn is perfect for a romantic getaway for one or two couples - or as a holiday venue for small families. This contemporary two double bedroom, two bathroom barn conversion is light, airy and spacious with vaulted ceiling and beams and beautiful furnishings which give it the "wow" factor. In a lovely rural setting it is only a ten minute drive from the numerous shops and restaurants of Haverfordwest and fifteen minutes from a selection of wide sandy beaches.

The property listing led us to arrive with high expectations - and these were exceeded on arrival. Very comfortable, very well equipped and centrally located in Pembrokeshire for easy access to all parts.

We booked this location last-minute, after our original booking was cancelled. This one ended up being excellent. Everything was exactly as in the photos and we loved the quietness of the area.Initially we had some reservations about the remoteness of the location, but it turned out perfect for exploring Pembrokeshire

Tranqility with easy access to all of pembrokshires places of interest.

Clean, tidy, well equipped kitchen providing the perfect location for us to shake off Jet lag whilst spending valuable time with family. Peace and quiet with views across the rolling pembrokeshire countryside, yet 5 mins from Haverfordwest and short drives to the places of interest pembroke offers.

Great base for Easter break

Perfect central location from which to explore wonderful Pembrokeshire. The Barn is very comfortable, well equipped, everything has been thought of, and it is very well managed. Would highly recommend!

Lovely property, felt secluded yet so near all amenities. All domestic facilities in excellent condition, very clean, the ā€˜welcomeā€™ pack was much appreciated as was log burner and slipper bath! Would recommend to anyone who wants a central Pembrokeshire holiday with relaxation and a view of ponies.

A lovely retreat in quiet location near Newgale

A super barn conversion in a quiet location, great for visiting the areas around Newgale and the Coastal Path. The boat trips in July to Ramsay and Skomer islands were fabulous for bird watching and walking. Great to come back to The Barn to relax in the garden at the end of the day. A lovely holiday.

We had a fantastic stay in the barn. Everything was just perfect. The huge bed was the comfiest I'd ever slept in, with the added bonus of waking up to the adorable ponies! We would not hesitate to book this property again .

Lovely!

Having to stay near Haverfordwest for a short placement at the hospital, this was ideal to have somewhere cosy to return to! Sean was on hand for any queries and Margaret was helpful in communication prior to my stay. Property was lovely and had everything I might have needed!

What a gem!

A gorgeous converted barn, this property is very spacious and comfortable. In a rural, quiet, location but still within easy reach of the entirity of Pembrokeshire, it makes a great base. It was well equipped and had everything we could have possibly wanted. Definitely one we'll be returning to!

Lovely conversion in a perfect location

We spent 9 nights at the property with 2 young children. The property is far enough away from town to feel away from it all but close enough to just nip down in the car to pick stuff up on the spur. The property itself is decorated to a high standard and is very welcoming. Our kids loved it and didn't want to leave, neither did we.

Marvellous annex conversion with all you need pint of milk for you in the fridge, bottle of wine and nibbles a lovely thoughtful touch. Everything you will need at the property great place to stay if you plan to explore the west coast of wales everything is 15/30mins max away I cannot find a complaint for this property 5* Thankyou. We will visit again šŸ˜€

Family holiday in Pembrokeshire

We loved our weeks stay in the barn. It was lovely and clean with great facilities and loads of space for our two young children to play. They especially loved the ponies out the back of the garden and the giant bath. The barn is ideally placed in the middle of Pembrokeshire, with places like Tenby no more than 40 minutes away. We also loved the beaches and walking from little haven and broad haven which are really close. We would love to come again one day as we've made loads of great memories.

Welcoming

This property was exactly as advertised. The cottage is spacious and well equipped, warm, and welcoming. The king-size bed is so comfortable. A full set of manuals is provided. The property manager, Sean, was available and met all of our needs quickly and efficiently. Our three weeks were delightful.

A ā€˜get away from it allā€™ place

Margaret (owner) and Sean (caretaker) weā€™re excellent with their communications which made for a very relaxing stay. The property was all that we had hoped for, clean, spacious, with all mod cons that we needed while there. It is relatively ā€˜remoteā€™ and car needed but as it was in the heart of Pembroke, everywhere on the south and west coasts was an easy commute. Made full use of log burner, and spent several cosy evenings in a wet February just chilling with a wine or beer. Thanks Margaret- will certainly recommend.

We have just returned from a wonderful week staying at The Barn, Upper Calffield Farm, Haverfordwest. The property was beautiful and has been done to a very high spec. It had everything we needed and is set in a lovely location. We will definitely miss waking up to the ponies and sheep each morning. Itā€™s located well for amenities and not too far away from the local beaches and Pembrokeshire coastal path. We would highly recommend this listing. You wonā€™t be disappointed.

Peace and tranquility

After arriving a day before schedule, the landlady was so accomdating and sympathetic to my mistake! Everything from there on in was exactly what we needed: quiet spaces to recede into after sharing quality family time in the open-plan living area. So quiet, calm and secluded away from traffic, the situation of The Barn was perfect for our needs. Definitely going to return!

What a gem

This lovely property was well maintained and very clean on arrival. It was well equipped particularly in the kitchen where everything you need is provided. Margaret is very friendly and provides great customer service. It was great having a lockable shed where sports equipment could be left safely. There are lots of lovely walks in the area Plumstone Mountain is nice and quiet with great views. If in the area a trip to Skomer Island in spring shouldn't be missed to see puffins up close.

Everything for a Perfect Pembrokeshire Stay!

The Barn at Upper Calffield Farm is special. It is extremely clean and well cared for and has all the amenities one could ask for in a vacation rental home. The kitchen is well equipped and the beautiful setting for the dining room table makes a meal very memorable. The linens are top notch, the hot water is hot, the washing machine is good size, and the parking is a breeze. The internet is fast and reliable. And the location? Exactly what we wanted - out in the "country" surrounded by nature and animals but within easy driving reach of the Wales Coastal Path, the Golden Road, Pembrokeshire National Park, and more! We stayed 5 nights and didn't want to leave - and that's the highest compliment one can give a short term vacation rental. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stay for our little family

While we were very unlucky with the weather and didn't get to experience Pembrokeshire at its best, we had a wonderful stay at Upper Callfield Farm and will definitely return should we find ourselves in Pembrokeshire again. In fact, we were lucky to have a cosy and inviting place to be when the weather was too rotten to want to go out. Our 5 year old loved the farm and feeding the 3 Shetland Ponies a carrot and apple every day. It was nice and quiet, but still close enough to Haverfordwest for the convenience of shops. There was also a pub directly opposite which we never did visit but it was good to know it was there if we found ourselves at a loose end! Location also a good jumping off point to explore Pembrokeshire widely without being too far from anywhere. Everything in the property was in good working order, well equipped, and to a high standard. The welcome basket with nibbles, welsh cakes, and prosecco (plus a pint of milk in the fridge) was also a lovely touch to arrive to after a long journey.

Fantastic base to explore Pembrokeshire

Myself and my cousins booked the Farmhouse and Barn for the weekend of a family wedding and couldnā€™t be happier with with our stay. The house is well equipped for large groups with everything you need for a few days in Wales. Communication with Margaret/Sean was great. Would definitely recommend!
