A beautiful hideaway on the famous Greek island of Hydra. Straight out of a fairy-tale, this is a gorgeous little village house, with a comfortable and bright living & sleeping space with amazing views of Hydra harbour and the sea from the windows. The house is totally private (the owner is not on site) with a lovely courtyard and garden as well as a roof terrace with a spectacular panoramic view. The interior is about 30m2 and the courtyard is somewhat larger. You can sit in the courtyard to have breakfast or sip coffee surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers, sunbathe on the roof terrace and, in the evening, have romantic suppers up there with a breath-taking panoramic view of the village and the sea, watching the lights of the boats coming and going in the harbour as the sun goes down.

This property for two people offers the unusual combination of being self-catered, with a two-tier garden and a roof terrace, all totally private, nothing shared and no landlord/owner nearby.

The house is fully air-conditioned for the summer and is also fully heated for the colder months of the year, making it a perfect hideout for the summer, autumn, winter, and spring. Simple and functional in its aesthetic, it has a fully equipped bathroom and kitchenette with all standard conveniences, including an iron, a cafetiere, a kettle, a toaster, a refrigerator, an oven and hobs with all cooking utensils supplied. We hope that our guests will appreciate and enjoy the house, not as a substitute for a hotel, but as a home away from home.

Famous for its traditional architecture and heroic history, Hydra is uniquely tranquil since no cars or mopeds are allowed on the island. The house is reached by walking up the shallow steps from the harbour (approx. 10 min), and shops, restaurants and other amenities are all nearby. You can walk to the popular rocky beaches in 15-20 minutes, or take a boat from the harbour to the sandy ones further afield. Hydra is popular among artists and food connoisseurs, and with a year-round expat community, the island remains lively all year round.
