There is a king-size double bedroom (zip/link, can be 2’ 6” twin on request), a twin bedroom, a single bedroom with an additional pull-out stacker bed, a shower room, a ground floor basin and WC, a kitchen, a utility room, a dining room with a gas fire and a sitting room with gas fire. Outside there is off road parking for three cars, additional free roadside parking across the road and a garden. The Old Grocery is a wonderful holiday base.

The town is famous for its 14th Century church with "Crooked Spire", twisting curiously from its true centre, while the frequent bustling market days are ideal for exploring the many different specialist shops and stalls which line the old Market Hall and charming Shambles beyond. The town also boasts Queens Park, with its boating lake, walks and summer bandstand, as well as a museum and theatre. An interesting base for a break exploring the Peak District.
