WELCOME TO HUMMINGBIRD HAVEN!

This cozy, log cabin is beautifully decorated with antiques and located in the San Juan River Village, only 20 minutes from Wolf Creek Ski Area. Magnificent views of the San Juan Mountains can be enjoyed from wrap-around decks on three sides and a balcony off the loft. The sound of the San Juan River at the bottom of the hill provides great relaxation. Free HIGH SPEED INTERNET connection is installed.

The cabin is easily accessible on a maintained road, just a short distance off Highway 160, six miles east of Pagosa Springs.

Hummingbird Haven will comfortably accommodate four persons. The bedroom downstairs has a queen-size bed and the loft bedroom has a full-size and twin bed. There is a full bathroom downstairs.

All cooking and baking needs are provided in the kitchen. The laundry room has a full-size washer and dryer. The dining and living room are tastefully furnished with some family heirlooms as well as a more modern satellite TV with DVD player and a gas log fireplace. The fireplace easily heats the cabin on the coldest nights, but electric radiant heat is also available. The loft also has a satellite TV.

Whether you need a cabin for skiing, a honeymoon retreat, or just a mountain get-away, HUMMINGBIRD HAVEN is the perfect place!

San Juan Community Village Rules
-Do not make or cause loud noises at any time. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. No loud music, shouting, or parties during quiet hours.
-Ensure that outdoor lights are turned off or are on a motion sensor between 10pm and 7am.
-Trash must be kept inside the home or garage to keep bears away. Trash bins may be brought to the street the morning of pick up and brought back inside immediately after.
-If the neighborhood has issued a burn ban, do not make a fire or use a charcoal grill.
-Please do not trespass onto private property. Instead please use the common areas designated on the map in the guestbook.
-Dogs must be kept on a leash or under strict voice command. Pet owners must pick up all dog waste and dispose of it in an appropriate trash receptacle.
-Use only street-legal vehicles on neighborhood roads. Please respect the speed limit of 15 mph and do not cause excess noise or dust while driving.
-Do not park vehicles on the street.
-Please do not use firearms or fireworks in the neighborhood.
-Do not alter or harm any aspects of the river, pond or forest. Do not interact with or harm wildlife.

Beautiful home, spotless. Nicely decorated. Quiet neighborhood but you are very close to others. But was no problem.Only issue was no internet, no cell phone service(Verizon), and no tv for 2 of our 3 days there. Internet provider was down. Had to go across the road for a signal, or back to town. Download directions well before you get there. We did get service for our last night there. We were hiking and fishing during the day, but did miss cell service, and internet at night. But there is a house phone there to make calls. Our contact for the owner did answer each time when I called her. She was very nice. My booking with the owner was good also. Again, it was a beautiful home on the outskirts of Pagosa Springs.

Great views and location

Check-in was easy using the door code sent to us. The kitchen was adequately stocked for our needs. The wrap around porch and upstairs balcony gave us gorgeous views and cool temps. The bed wad very comfortable. Our only complaint was there was no body soap in the bathroom and only 2 washcloths. Since we brought our own soap, and we were only there 2 nights, we didn't reach out to the property manager about this. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Colorado Cabin

This cabin has a great location close to many outdoor attractions and recreation including hiking, fishing and skiing. Just minutes from Pagosa Springs, CO where natural hot springs are the big attraction. The property is in a nice neighborhood with a fishing pond and a nice walk to the river, and a beautiful bird and deer population. The cabin is cozy and comfortable, access was easy and secure. The property is need of a good cleaning and organization. I was never able to access TV (4 remotes and nothing would connect) or WiFi service (followed directions provided explicitly, no luck), so VERY limited access for communication. Good thing I like to read and I am easily entertained and an adult. Kids and family may have more expectation and demands. I traveled with my dog, who was welcomed and comfortable in the location. Spent the time hiking in the area, and enjoyed an art festival in Pagose Springs. A major road work project is underway in Pagose, making traffic a little congested, but only temporary (2026?). Visited Chimney Rock National Monument and explored much of the sites in the area. The best of Colorado!

Loved it!!!

Hummingbird Haven was perfect for my wife and I!!! The cabin was larger than I expected, cozy, quiet & private. Only 7 minutes from downtown & 20 to Wolf Creek ski area!! The kitchen was nice and plenty of room for cooking in. I do however recommend bringing any condiments/spices you may need as it seems to be cleaned out after every guest. Overall it was great & Iā€™d definitely stay here again!!!

Winter trip

This is our 3rd winter to stay at Hummingbird Haven Although there was no snow in town, we had a nice time at the cabin. It had everything we needed and is in a great location for us. Close enough to town and a short drive to the ski area. The dogs were at home as well. Thanks for hosting us!!

LeRoy was born and raised in Colorado and Mary moved to Denver from Indiana after graduating from college. Both LOVED Coloradoā€¦.LeRoy was a cowboy/bullrider and Mary was an avid skier.
A business opportunity of a lifetime took us to Florida in 1981 but our dream was always to return to the southwestern part of Colorado when we retired. We are living out that dream now by spending as much time as we can at Hummingbird Haven and making many wonderful memories with our grandchildren, family and friends.. When we are not at our beautiful log cabin, we love sharing it with others.

The Pagosa Springs area offers many adventure opportunities, all of which our entire family enjoys: mountain biking, skiing, horseback riding, camping, hiking, rafting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, golfing and fishing. And, if we donā€™t feel like exercising, we can sit back, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. This area has some of the most beautiful scenery found anywhere in the world.

Hummingbird Haven is away from all the hustle and bustle and yet only 17 miles from Wolf Creek Ski area and 5 miles from downtown Pagosa Springs where there are many restaurants and of course the healing waters of the Hot Springs. The San Juan River and San Juan mountains are right out the back door to enjoy and so are the many hummingbirds in the summertime.
