Down House Farm Devon is situated in the picturesque rural Devon countryside, enclosed with tranquil rolling hills and offering stunning walks both on the property and as an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. Located at EX6 7SA, our property provides the perfect base to explore Exeter just 17 minutes away, or Dartmoor just 10 miles away. Approached via a long drive, the period property is situated in an elevated position within a working sheep farm with over 180 acres of pasture.

The former farmhouse sleeps up to 10 people in five bedrooms with two separate bathrooms & 1 en-suite and is the perfect base for a relaxing multi-generational holiday with family & friends. We welcome wedding parties, family reunions, birthdays and special anniversary trips. We have 1 King bed, 2 Double beds, 4 Single Beds as well as a Childs cot/crib and highchair which can be put in upon request.

There is a large modern kitchen-diner with expansive range cooker and adjoining utility area, as well as two reception rooms.

Outside of the property is a private garden area with bench seating and separate patio area. The farmhouse is situated in an elevated position with great views of Exeter city at night, Dartmoor and the Teign Valley. Walking is a must with tons of birds and local wildlife to spot during your visit, don’t forget to bring your wellies in the winter! We have walking trails across 180 acres of farm & woodland. Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement.

The farmhouse makes for a wonderful group stay with a relaxed family friendly feel.

Please note that as a sheep farm, we have two female working Collies who live on the farm and they will probably pop by to say hello and try win you over for a game of fetch.
