A window over Lake Como - stone cottage with amazing view and private garden

Casa Alice is a two floors romantic stone cottage, recently renovated, with an amazing view over the lake Como, fresh private garden, barbecue, old watering hole and a stream that runs down the lake. From all the house windows and the garden there is an exceptional view over Lake Como. The neighborhood is very quiet, with limited car access. The peace and serenity of the place are exacerbated by the creek going slowly down.

Casa Alice can accommodate up to 4 people but it is ideal for couples or a family with two children.

On the ground floor there are the living area composed by kitchen and living room connected by a charming wooden frame and the full equipped bathroom (hairdryer included). The living room has satellite TV. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, toaster, microwave oven, coffeemaker and refrigerator.

Upstairs there is the master bedroom with a beautiful wooden roof. It has a double bed and a single one. On request it is possible to add another single or a children's bed.

On the basement there is a storage room for bicycles and sports equipment.

It is available a conditioner for the hottest days. 5 GB wifi internet traffic included at EUR 5.

The house has a garden overlooking lake Como with barbecue, deck chairs, table and sun umbrella.

Casa Alice is located in the heart of Piumona, one of the oldest and traditional area of Gravedona, on the northernmost part of Lake Como. Almost all the Piumona's traditional houses are stone made and gathered around the square where lies an ancient fountain fed by the brook during it's journey down to the lake Como.
From Casa Alice, it's garden and the pedestrian road, you can enjoy the magnificient view of Lake Como, from Bellagio to Colico and to the beginning of Valtellina and Valchiavenna.

Gravedona downtown is at less then 2 chilometer by car, about 20 minutes walking down, along pedestrian ways.
Gravedona is the star of northernmost part of Lake Como. You can visit the numerous churches, especially the Romanesque one Santa Maria del Tiglio and the Renaissance one Santa Maria delle Grazie. Inside medieval Palazzo Gallio there is always same show or exhibition to see.

You can walk along the pedestrian alleys that lead you to the main squares and the beautiful lakeside promenades. Summer's evening are filled by music, street markets and parties. Don't miss the 14 August fireworks show.

Restaurants, bars and ice-cream shops overlook the lakeside front.

Sports lovers can be satisfied in Serenella, a lakeside neighborhood with tennis and soccer playground, sailing school, swimming pool, beach, running trails. Bycicle's paths are available in the area, starting from lakeside promenades to difficult tracks on the mountain slopes.

Two playgrounds will be the joy of your children.

Menaggio and Cadenabbia, where there are ferries to Bellagio and Varenna, are about at 15 minute drive along beautiful and scenic coastal roads. Don't miss Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo and Villa Balbianello in Lenno.

Of course you can take a boat, a ferry or use public transport from Gravedona to every attraction of Lake Como.
