Montegufoni was a dream. The photos on the Airbnb do not do it justice. It's like getting to sleep in a museum. The staff is friendly and accommodating and I thought the restaurant had great food. My favorite part about this stay was to just sip wine and enjoy the silence and serenity of the venue and it's surreal views. 10/10 would stay again.

Beautiful location just 20 minutes from Florence, with a lovely pool to relax by. Unfortunately, the on-site restaurant didn’t impress us, but there are plenty of better dining options nearby. Our room lacked air conditioning, so we wouldn’t recommend staying here in August when temperatures hit 38°C.

Dit verblijf is een echte aanrader voor iemand die echt het gevoel van Toscana wilt beleven. Een heel oud kasteel, waarvan zo veel nog intact is gebleven. Waanzinnig mooi ingericht. Goed geregeld en makkelijk te vinden met Google Maps. Komen zeker terug!

The eccentric shabby chic atmosphere of medieval castle not to restored But Just enought to be comfortable and pretty. Great Location for the lovers of old historic places with strong caracter. Excellent concept. The owner pays a nice tribute to the past and the memory of the last family that occupied IT. The english excentrics the Sitwells. We DID not appreciate the Family with Kids occupaying the pool all day long in such a calm and meditative environment.

The castle of Montegufoni deserves a better service

Heating problem only solved 4days after 1st complaint, 2nd complaint had to be submitted at the office. The joints of the window close to the bed weren't adequately sealed. The appartment was great, the bed as well, mosquitoes weren't very friendly but kept away from bed thanks to a canopy. The bathroom was fair and worked properly. The office hours aren't tourist friendly, should be opened later in the evening. A sitting room beside the entry hall should be available.

Absolutely stunning room! It was so comfortable and elegant. Montegufoni is a dream come true. What an amazing and magical place to visit. I can't wait to come back again and spend more time here.

This location is spectacular! It's wonderful to stay in such a historically important and impressive castle. Our apt was well appointed and the staff is very friendly and on hand. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the castle. Just wonderful.
