If you are looking for a relaxing vacation in a great unit, Island North 9 is for you! The master bedroom has a queen bed, a TV, a private bathroom and a private balcony. In the second bedroom there is a full bed and a twin bed. There is an additional full bathroom in the hallway along with the washer/dryer.

In the kitchen and living room you have ocean views and a view of the north end pier. You can walk right across the street to the pier, and enjoy a bite and a drink at the restaurant. Also, enjoy the onsite private community pool, along with an ocean front gazebo. Plan your trip to make lasting memories today!

Great spot in and great location!

We loved our stay at this condo. We didn’t have any issues with cleanliness, it had a beautiful view and right next to a restaurant and bar. Easy to drive and walk to other places. Comfortable beds. And they allowed us to bring our dogs! It was a very pet friendly neighborhood. The pool was nice and well taken care of. Would book again!

Satisfied

I enjoyed my stay. My family enjoyed our stay as well. I have no complaints. Was very satisfied with everything. I'm sure I sound fake. But I truly enjoyed my stay here. Everything was easy peasy from checking in to checking out.

Very nice place

Big disappointment

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very disappointed when we arrived to our condo. We immediately noticed a strong odor as we open the door that lead us into the stairway to our condo. I assumed that was just from lack of air flow but, I soon realized it was I was wrong. Our condo had a strong odor that literally made me gag. The carpet and chair were dirty and in desperate need of a shampoo. The walls had black spots in several areas. The blinds were filthy. There were lights bulbs blown out. When I called the office Derek sent the maintenance man Russ over immediately. Russ was very kind and understanding. He then had the supervisor Mary Ellen call me and she was one of the rudest people I’ve ever had to deal wit. She was argumentative and confrontational. She argued ever complaint. All she would have had to do was send someone over to clean and deodorize the condo. I’m not difficult to please but she just made it worse. I had to clean and deodorize the condo and place sheets over the furniture to make it somewhat ok for my family. First visit on this vacation was Walmart for cleaning supplies. We saved to take this vacation and now we were hundreds of miles from home and completely disappointed. Our son currently lives in Wilmington and we have full intentions on visiting again in December however, we have no intentions to ever rent from this company. Mary Ellen did call after our first conversation to offer to have someone clean the furniture and floors the next day. This is probably because I made it clear how unhappy I was with her customer service. The cleaners were only able to come out the next morning but my family were sleeping after traveling all day the day before. Derek helped by sending over extra sheets to cover the furniture. Please note that Derek and Russ were very kind and understanding. Even though there was nothing they could do, they made the situation more comfortable to deal with. Just some understanding and kind words go along way.

Not Worth It...

Layout of the apartment is as described, furniture is pretty run down and unfortunately the bathrooms and the washer were not very clean. There was a moldy towel sitting in the washer, probably from the previous renter which caused the whole washer to be moldy. We were told to go to the laundromat instead or try to clean it ourselves which was disappointing. Apart from that we had a great vacation.

Short-Time Rental

We rented out this condo for my birthday for 2 nights. We did a late check-in and it was very easy and organized. The property is right on the beach next to an access point and restaurant. It was clean and looked just like the pictures. My favorite perk was the balcony facing the ocean! Definitely recommend!

Excellent rental company, deplorable HOA

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent 5 months renting this condo over the winter. The location of the property was obviously the main driving factor, and exceeded all expectations. Unfortunately, the HOA for the property - Network Real Estate - is extremely incompetent, and left serious safety hazards unattended. We tried to contact them several times as did Intracoastal Realty, and they ignored all requests. The common areas are in shambles, and we had absolutely no lighting (including emergency lighting) in the common stairwell for almost a full week at one point. Things got so bad that we contacted the town manager after 4 days without electricity to finally get any lighting restored. Ultimately, as much as we enjoyed our stay in Carolina Beach, we will NEVER stay at any property that Network Real Estate has anything to do with again, and hope that nobody else falls victim to their criminal negligence.

Excellent Stay!

Views of the beach from the balcony and a very short walk to the beach. The pier is also right there which has pretty good food. It's just far enough from the main strip that it is very quiet. Property managment company was very responsive when needed which wasn't much. Highly recommend!

Middle of the road

The condo was nice but needs some work on the details. Start with the good. The location was an easy walk to the beach. The service with the rental agency was amazing. The interior was clean and the space was great. The kitchen was well stocked with what you need to cook. Now the not so great. The water smelled terrible that we considered leaving. When I called the agent to complain she took a message and then promptly called me back. She was very nice but the guidance was to let it run for 30 minutes. This was successful but not at all what one should have to do. The patio was not well taken care of and a few of the dishes in the cabinets were actually dirty. A few negatives that can not be controlled by the owner were that the building directly in front is under construction but appears to not actually be being worked on. Also, Canal Street flooded daily. This made the road in front of the condo extremely busy. All in all we give this condo a "C."

Nice & might go back but....

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed the condo and facilities. 3 reasons why I can't give the place 5 stars is that: 1) Parking was awful! People with trucks should be warned and/or given a better option than just underneath in those spaces; 2) The water smelled like ROTTEN EGGS! Had to use bottled for everything. Other condo stayers said the same; 3) Wish we would have know that the beach was eroded. Work around of walking down that rocky place with all our beach equipment was terrible and dangerous. That last reason alone is why we will likely not return. Unrealistic to expect people to hike over sharp rocks to get to the beach.

Fun time

The condo was clean and spacious, and had all the necessities. The location was perfect for us at the quieter end of the beach. And the mgmt company was friendly and professional. Nice Place

We enjoyed our stay, even with a garbage disposal/sink malfunction the first night. The only complaint was that there was construction across the road and also beside & above our unit - every single day... The noise always started by 8 am so there was no sleeping in. Because of an elderly parent with mobility issues, it would have been very helpful to know ahead of time that the beach access that was advertised to be across the street was actually closed off with boulders because of beach erosion. I understand erosion is not controllable, but things could have been planned differently, if it were known about. Overall, a nice place & great location

Wonderful Beach Experience

Great time!

When we arrived, it was super fast and easy to get the keys. We loved the location of seeing the ocean and the places around. We went the first of June and it was not crowded at all. A couple things could be fixed as one of the cabinets need to be tightened so it can close, we had a storm one day and the ceiling in the living room at the sliding door started leaking bad and we ended up having to use a bunch of towels so it wouldn’t ruin the floor. You could tell it’s happened before. Not a big problem, just needed to be fixed so nothing else gets ruined. Just a future suggestion, maybe a TV guide to what channels are available, we had to go through a ton of channels that weren’t available through the landlords subscription, it just took a lot of time, also, a tv in the second bedroom was mentioned, but not in the room when we arrived (also not a big deal as we were there for the beach, but just making it known). Otherwise, my family had the best week at this condo, all the amenities we could think of! Definitely keeping it in mind for future vacations! Thank you for a great stay!
