Full kitchen, natural gas fireplace, southern exposure, deck, recliner and conversation area, Serta inter-coil 12ā€ mattress full sized mattress, and couch/twin bed. This unit is in an apartment style studio condo. BBQ on deck. New view window, sliding door, gas fireplace, fridge, countertops, flooring, paint, high profile toilet. All the essentials provided down to the spices. Year round recreational area loved by Alaskans and Tourist. Come enjoy another fine property of Moose River Resort LLC (locally owned and operated). Max 2-person occupancy.

Guests wonā€™t pay a upfront damage deposit prior to their stay.* Instead, VRBO keeps their card on file for two weeks.

Father/Son ski trip

Stayed for 5 nights with my son on a spring break ski trip. The location was perfect distance for walking to the ski lift. Skiing was excellent! Condo was very clean, comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed for preparing meals.

Perfect location at the base of the lifts

1 minute walk to the lifts from the apartment. Must check out Jack Sprat across the street- great dinner spot.

Fabulous Location

The property owner did a fantastic job of communicating with us and we hope to use the unit in the future. The condo is just what we needed for the week while our family all skied at Alyeska.

Jaci had such a sweet way of making sure to communicate and get me everything I need, including clear directions to the unit. My stay was peaceful and rejuvenating. This property was small condo, very comfortable, well equipped and organized. There were extra mattresses for additional guests. The place had everything we needed and a nice well equipped kitchen. The location is excellent, being very close to the ski slopes. The owner was very easy to contact when needed. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very clean

Thumbs up for this property. Loved being able to see (therefore easily walk to) the Bake Shop and Jack Sprat. The noise from skiers coming into the condo complex and clunking down the hall was a little annoying.

What a perfect spot!

I have stayed in Girdwood on the way outside 5 times now. This was the best location- both of the unit and the building. The host was very helpful about the process, and straight forward about the accomodations. Reserve early, because I hope to stay here again next fall. HINT- The Spoonline almond crust pizza was a great take out, if you can find them open.

Great Place to Stay in Girdwood

This is a lovely and well-supplied studio condo in Girdwood. It really has it all: great location with easy access to shops, well-supplied (even provides hand cream, shampoo and conditioner, spices in the kitchen, etc.). All products are top notch quality (no mini unheard of products!). The unit is well-kept and in A-1 shape on arrival. The entry to the unit provided a little confusion for us initially (the entry will not work until check-in time and it doesn't allow for daylight savings time--meaning your entry on daylight saving time is an hour later than specified in the agreeement), but the owner was available online and on a cell phone to help us through the process. I would certainly recommend renting this unit. It was a great experience!

Excellent Girdwood vacation stay

This unit more than met my needs. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy full size mattress with lots of pillows, generous supply of towels, convenient location to bike path and hiking trails on Mt Alyeska. Enough space on the porch for two people to sit outside on good weather days (although borrowed chairs from my daughter who lives close by). The sun sets very late in July (around 11PM) so many hours available to enjoy watching the sun drop low in the sky after dinner. Jaci was wonderful and answered the few questions I had when I arrived (exhausted and jet lagged) like where to find the circuit breaker and how to direct water to the shower head. There is a coffee shop and restaurant within walkiing distance and several others just a mile away. Hiking trails in Chugach National Forest very convenient. If you stay here I recommend hiking Crow Pass, Crystal Lake and Barnes Mountain Trail (you can find it on AllTrails) which is a short distance away and an amazing 6 mile hike (7 miles if you hike a little further to Raven Glacier). Overall was so grateful to find this VRBO.

Pictures made it look better than it was

The condo was clean. Good location. Easy to get to. That's the good. The beds were awful and not comfortable at all. The twin bed had just a mattress, no box springs and kept moving off of the bed springs it sat on and the entire thing leaned to the right so you felt like you were going to fall off the bed. The combo bunkbed sank in like quicksand when you laid on it. The bottom part had duct tape keeping a piece of plywood attached to the frame. The pillows were awful as well. No comfort at all. No top sheet on any bed and the only bed that had a blanket was the bottom of the bunk bed set. The other two beds had no blankets. There was supposedly extra covers in a chest but what was in there was basically throws and a mattress cover. Two chairs to sit in only and they were old and basically past what goodwill would have accepted. Then there were the signs. Instructions are a good thing. Generally, you find a binder with instructions. But this was borderline obsessive. No binder just signs posted everywhere around the condo. Signs to ask you to wipe the Crome down in the bathroom, leave the fan on in the bathroom for 20 mins, Condo Association Rules, wipe the counter down (pretty sure part of the fees cover maid service after we check out) Take your shoes off etc and that is just a small example. Its decor is tired and dated. The owner was nice to deal with as I had to contract her and she was quick to respond. I gave three stars because the owner was nice and responsive.

There is a kitchen and easy access to the Day Lodge, Sitzmark, Jack Sprat, Bake shop, Bear Cub Quad 1/2-block, Girdwood Shuttle Bus stop 1/4 block, no more searching for a parking space. Once here park and walk to most everything at the Base of Alyeska many walking paths or ride the shuttle bus.
