Beautiful 3 Br Casita, near Taos & TSV

This beautiful, bright and comfortable 1700 sq foot, 3-bedroom casita is located at The Quail Ridge Inn and is a perfect home-away-from-home for vacationing families in any season, a women's retreat weekend or tennis tournament participants playing in one of the annual events sponsored by Taos Tennis at Quail Ridge. We also have a special rate for parties of 2 - please inquire! The home is ideally situated between the town of Taos (less than 10 minutes away) and Taos Ski Valley (20 minutes away).

The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar, spacious living area with kiva fireplace, a dining area, washer and dryer, one full bath and 2 bedrooms with queen beds that will sleep 6. There is an outdoor patio area for charcoal grilling or dining al fresco. The second floor has a master bedroom with a king size bed, a second en suite bath and a deck facing south with lovely mountain views. The home has basic Direct TV service and basic wireless internet.

Guests have access to the facilities of Taos Tennis at Quail Ridge which include tennis courts, pro shop, year round hot-tub and seasonal pool (open May-Sept) all only a short walk from the casita (see the map of the grounds in the photo slide show). Taos Tennis at Quail Ridge has been ranked in the Top 50 Tennis Resorts in the world, hosting tournaments and offering lessons, camps and drop in doubles for the whole family.

The property is less than a ten minute drive from the historic Downtown Taos Plaza and the many excellent in-town eateries, galleries, shops and museums. It is only a 20 minute drive from Taos Ski Valley, noted for it's uncrowded world class skiing and snowboarding. Taos Ski Valley has an award winning teaching program, terrain for all abilities and was was recently listed as one of 52 places to visit in 2015 by the New York Times. The casita is also an easy drive to other area attractions including the Taos Pueblo, The Taos Mountain Casino and the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge .

Other recreational opportunities abound and include: hiking, fishing, birdwatching, snowshoeing, rafting, mountain biking and gallery hopping. Among other nearby attractions: Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs (40 mins) The Wild Rivers Recreation Area of The Rio Grande del Norte National Monument (30 mins), Bandelier National Monument (1.5 hours) and the quaint village of Arroyo Seco (5 mins).

Great property in a perfect location!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Taos area and this property is in a great location to enjoy all the region has to offer. The condo is beautifully decorated and the resort area offers a lot to do. If you want to simply relax, the area is quiet and the views are great!

Beautiful Taos retreat

Stayed 2 nights with my sister and mother for a long-postponed vacation. We marveled at the beautiful, comfortable furnishings and fully-stocked kitchen. Easy access to all the Taos area has to offer.

Comfortable, spacious home

Wonderful property for a ski vacation

We stayed at the Casita New Year's weekend and could not be more pleased. The house was very clean and extremely well-stocked for vacationers. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable for our family. It was so nice to come back "home" after a full day skiing and relax with a fire. We hope to be able to stay here on future visits to Taos. Thank you, Monica.

Top Notch.

Great experience. Close to several attractions beside Taos. The best equipped kitchen as far as cookware and dinnerware/silverware we have ever stayed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Perfect for our family

Monica, the owner, made things easy. The condo was a great fit for our family of si. Everyone had a bed and there was plenty of space. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking gear. Having the pool and tennis courts was also a plus. They keep the unit very clean. We will stay again if we go back to Taos.

Enjoyable patio with the birds

Good locationfor quietness. A little hard to find at first. Very responsive helpful manager. Lock box very challenging to refit keys into especially in the dark when departing.

Unplug, unwind, refresh

We came here to rest--mission accomplished. The condo is decorated very stylishly, kitchen is fully furnished, and wifi and DirecTV will allow you to stay in touch with the world as much as you want to. Two excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance. We enjoyed sitting on the patio, eating breakfast, and watching the hummingbirds race back and forth. If you are looking for a place out in the country but yet close to the plaza, this is the property for you. Monica was great with pre-arrival information and very helpful in suggesting various day trips.

Final ski trip - 2021

We almost cancelled this ski trip since there was no snow, but I’m so thankful we didn’t. We loved the house. It was incredible roomy and the location between the ski valley and the town was fantastic. The views from the master bedroom were phenomenal, and one morning we were graced with a herd of quail eating birdseed outside the den window. The house was incredibly roomy, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the beds were quite comfortable. The only thing that could make this house even better is a private hot tub or large tub in the master, but that’s just my general preference. I would love to stay in this home again, during any season.

Great place to relax

This is an beautiful property that is well maintained and beautifully furnished. It is clear the owner takes great pride in offering a lodging place that is restful, comfortable and has all the comforts/necessities of Home. I would suggest improving the directions to the property to say hwy 150 is past (north) of the El Prado city limits at the intersection of the airport. It would have made finding the place much easier. Also directions could be sent earlier considering that being in the mountains brings with it very restricted or no internet/cell coverage. We will definitely return to this property and recommend it to our friends.

Taos Dreamin

We love the unit!!! It was clean and comfortable. The owners were accessible by phone and responded quickly. The grounds/maintenance team was responsive to our needs, very communicative and helpful and so friendly. The rooms were quiet and spacious, the kitchen and baths were fully stocked. This was a perfect family spot. The whole facility was fun with tennis courts (if that is the focus), then the swimming pool was crystal clear and clean. Staff there was very friendly and helpful. The property was conveniently located for the mountain or shopping or just resting. Beautifully landscaped...we loved the aromatic shrubs as we exited the car on our arrival. Thank you from our hearts. We would love to return!! Carol

Peaceful Retreat

We truly enjoyed our stay in Monica’s casita at Quail Ridge. The check in process was easy. The owner was very quick and easy to communicate with and the casita was very clean and comfortable. The resort location is really special, about 10 minutes outside of town, in a grove of mature trees surrounded by amazing views. The casita was perfect for the three of us ladies to each have our own room with plenty of space. The living space is very comfortable and nicely furnished, open to the kitchen which is well stocked with kitchenware, pantry basics and appliances. The finishes are all very nice as well, like nice heavy blackout curtains and blinds, plenty of towels, etc. But, our favorite spot was out on the low walled patio with comfortable seating where you can drink your coffee and listen to the birds in the trees and take in the views. We enjoyed eating dinner on the patio several times as well. We look forward to returning!

Jan 2020 ski trip

We stayed the first week of January 2020 for a family ski trip to Taos. The condo is a short ~20 minute drive to Taos ski valley and also a quick drive to the town of Taos. We had a great steak dinner at Martyrs Steakhouse, burgers at The Burger Stand & Ale house, and pizza at Taos Pizza Out Back. All were great restaurants to eat at. Monica was great to communicate with. She provided detailed instructions for locating the property in the town home complex as well as instructions for check in. We had a little trouble figuring out one of the downstairs thermostats when we arrived but she was quick to respond to my text and helped me figure it out. The kitchen is well furnished and we found everything we needed to cook. The bathrooms and bedrooms were stocked with clean fresh linens and there is a washer and dryer to use if needed.

Nice Girls weekend spot

My friends and I came down from Denver for the weekend and had a great time. The location is just out of town and an easy drive - great restaurants nearby - lots of amenities on site and nearby. The fridge and kitchen is stocked with basics like condiments, coffee and tea, spices, and extras like butter and stuff. The bathrooms have lots of stuff you might need if you forget anything. Lots of books and some movies as well. Only downside is there isn't a smart TV, just DirectTV. Comfy beds and lots of linens. Overall we were very happy staying here. The hot tub is a trek and you'll need to drive to it in the winter.

Great place

This was a fantastic find for the four of us. Spacious, clean and well appointed. Great location for activities also. Most notably it was very quiet. Monica, the manager was super helpful. Highly recommended.

We are two sisters who grew up in western Kansas and spent many family vacations in northern New Mexico. Our parents often used Taos and nearby Red River as home base for exploring the area and it is still a place we return to as often as possible. Our parents were also fans of having a drink at the Taos Inn and visiting the Ski Valley in all seasons. We have been pleased to own property here and are happy to share our home with other guests, be they new to the Taos experience or those who already love Taos and all things Southwest.

We chose the Quail Ridge area because of it's proximity to both town and the Taos Ski Valley. It is wonderful to be close to all yet away from the hustle and bustle of town. We love the open layout of the common area in this home, the beautiful views from the grounds and outside space and the added benefit of using the facilities at Taos Tennis at Quail Ridge.
