If you are looking to stay in the Puglian countryside, this is an excellent option. Great location and fabulous outdoor space surrounded by olive farms. Mina and Andrea have thought of everything, welcome you warmly into their vacation rental and make sure everything is taken care of. We loved all of the extra touches that made the place special. It is a unique vacation rental that provides peace, quiet, rest and relaxation and the location is great for exploring southern Puglia (we had a car and did easy day trips to Monopoli, Alerbobello, Martina Franca, Ostuni, Cisternino and Lecce). The house manual is excellent with tips and recommendations, the beds are comfy and the wifi fast. You are out in the countryside so cell coverage is spotty in some areas but that's all part of the adventure. We loved it!

Our hosts, Mina and Andrea, did such a wonderful job of welcoming us and making our stay enjoyable. They provided welcome baskets of food and wine, as well as a "well stocked" kitchen, with food, coffee, spices, etc., to supplies and utensils. And upon arrival, Andrea gave us a thorough tour and instructions for our accommodations, the pool and outdoor kitchen, and a detailed written guide which came in very handy for questions that came up during our stay along with recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants and grocery stores in the area. They thought of every detail. The accommodations were clean and beds comfortable. Our Hosts and Casale CITRIGNANO left us wanting for nothing. We spent 4 weeks in Italy and our time here was some of the most relaxing and enjoyable we had.

Lovely, serene setting. Accommodations were comfortable and nicely decorated, the private courtyard very spacious with an outdoor kitchen. Our hosts Andrea and Mina were very welcoming, bringing us tasty homemade treats and garden bounty as gifts. For those wanting a country stay near Ostuni, I offer our highest praise. Our stay at Casale Citrignano was pure pleasure. Our stay lasted six weeks and the hosts Mina and Andrea were the best hosts we have ever had. The accommodations were even better than described. It was a perfect location to immerse ourselves in the Puglia region. The second apartment is perfect for two couples, each with their own space. All necessary items for kitchen were available. The accommodation was spotless inside and out. The outdoor space was remarkable and served us well. Don’t hesitate to book your stay here. We loved it.

Unbelievable

None of us had EVER stayed at a property that was so clean. Our gracious hosts obviously take pride in their property (as they should). It was the perfect balance of modern conveniences and rustic charm. We were welcomed with an incredible basket of local treats, and the property looked exactly like the pictures, perhaps even better! I highly recommend you book here before it fills up!

Casale Citrignano is a beautifully restored ancient Apulian farmhouse with stunning stonework. As a true family-run masseria, this is not staging, it’s the real thing. The private courtyard surrounds the pool with a shaded outdoor kitchen, barbecue, and plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. it was our happy place. The hospitality of Andrea and Mina could not be more sincere and genuine. They set the tone by offering farm-fresh eggs on our first morning and continued to make us feel like family rather than guests. The poolside pasta making class was an evening we’ll never forget. The entire family put their heart and soul into creating this experience. Led by the nonna, the multigenerational team — including an aunt, our hosts, and their daughter — taught us to form orecchiette and make focaccia in the wood-fired oven. They then sat us down to a feast: fresh burrata drizzled with their own olive oil, gnocchi (the best we’ve ever had), salads, side dishes, wine, and dessert. We talked about it for the rest of our trip. This wasn’t a cooking demonstration, it was a genuine cultural immersion. With Ostuni only 7 km (4.35 miles) away, and Alberobello and Polignano a Mare within easy reach, we recommend using Casale Citrignano as your home base during your stay in Puglia.Five stars, without hesitation.

An Italian OASIS!!

This, by far, was the most wonderful oasis we found on our trip to Italy. Conveniently located just outside of beautiful Ostini, Mina and her family have created a welcoming and wonderfully decorated and stocked place to put your feet up and enjoy. It was extremely private, with a pool set only for the guests renting the two separate suites, (we had family joining us and it was amazing to be able to offer them their own private space, also fully equipped). The accommodations included everything from outside bbque equipment, to board games, swimming floats (if you have children), clothes washing machine, and absolutely everything you would need to cook meals if so desired. By far, the best part of our stay was the relaxing atmosphere and the hospitality of our hosts. We would return in a heartbeat!! Thank you !

Fabulous place and wonderful hosts. What an amazing holiday. Could not recommend this place enough

Arrived on the Saturday to a very warm welcome from Andrea, Mina and Miriam. They had left a fantastic selection of local food for us. The accommodation was spotless and as good as the pictures. Perfectly situated for exploring Puglia by car with most of the places we wanted to visit within an hour drive of the property. The inside and outside areas were perfectly arrange. The pool was fantastic and cleaned daily. We had booked the local dinner cooked by the family for our first night. The homemade pasta, focaccia and pizza was a lovely start to exploring some ‘real’ Italy, but be prepared for the largest meal you could probably have. It was never-ending but so good. We only booked for one week but by the end wished we had booked two. Andrea and Mina were fabulous hosts and always on hand for advice or recommendations. We could not recommend their place highly enough

Lovely villa near Ostuni

Casale Citrignano di Mina & Andrea Is a lovely villa 5 mins drive from the small functional Puglia town of San Michele Salentino (where there are locals restaurants, petrol and shops) and 15 mins drive from beautiful tourist destination of Ostuni (the ‘White City’). It’s out in the countryside so you really need a car - this makes it wonderfully quiet and rural and it’s within easy day visits for go-to destinations including Polignano, Monopoli, Alberobello, Martina Franca and more. The owners - Andrea and Mina - live next door and were really helpful, kind and friendly leaving wine and biscuits on arrival and bringing fresh eggs for us in the week. The villa has everything and more that you need; the patio area has plenty of seating and umbrellas for shade and the pool is great for cooling off. There’s also an outside kitchen and BBQ. There are actually two separate units to the property: the master suite which has indoor seating, kitchen, dining, bathroom and behind a half-height wall, the double bedroom. There’s a second small unit also accessed from the patio with a small kitchenette, double bed and bathroom making the configuration perfect for the three adults in our group. (I believe the villa is always let complete but you’d have to check). It was a perfect stay for the second week of our two-week Puglian holiday: thank you.

what a spectacular holiday .. an incredible place to live a life

When I saw the pictures on the site I had a good impression of the place but when I arrived I was amazed by its beauty...I never imagined receiving such a warm welcome from the owners, people friendly and helpful...and what about the little Miriam, the daughter of the owners, a beautiful girl. The apartments are really cozy .. it's amazing to stay in a house made entirely of stone, especially if you think it dates back to the end of 800s. The swimming pool is wonderful, perfectly inserted in the external courtyard, where you can cook and have lunch in complete tranquility. If you are planning a holiday in Puglia do not hesitate to book "Casale Citrignano" ... you will not regret it
