All we ask is a very small cleaning fee per stay of $75. as a "Pay it forward" for the cleaning crew. They do a great job and you will find the cabin to be spotless with a fresh non-smoking interior. Please read all of our guest reviews. Here is what Caitlin has to say...Tremendous cabin with heaven-like views! Photos on the site don't do it justice - it took my breath away when I first saw it. So many seating options around the property with an amazing private dock that is perfect for watching the sunset on. Relaxing getaway

Perfect relaxing getaway surrounded by trees and nature. Very close to a cute small town with great restaurants and shopping. Owners were very helpful and had great communication. Will definitely come back if we are ever in the area again.

Cozy Cabin

This was a beautiful stop for my wife and me while we were on our way to Florida. The cabin is very cozy and comfortable. Sitting in the swing on the porch with our coffee while we watched the sun rise was an excellent treat. We both wish we could have stayed longer.

Little getaway

Beautiful place. Very peaceful. I wished the ladder to the sleeping area was a little easier to get up. But there is a pullout couch so that helps. We loved the area and everyone we ran into was very friendly.

Fall Get Away

It was very nice, clean and conveniently located. The only downfall, we were unable to sleep in the upstairs loft as the steps were too steep, so we had to sleep on the pull-out sofa which was not so comfortable. All-in-all, a good stay.

Beautiful and Relaxing

The cabin is located in a beautiful rural area surrounded by a pond and a river. The cabin was cozy and we mostly enjoyed the oversized swing on the back deck overlooking the river. We spent most of our time on the swing relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather and views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we look forward to staying again if we are ever back in the area. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Relaxing and cozy

The property was very nice and clean. We had a very nice time. Everything we needed was provided. We did buy some extra wood for the fireplace as we had snow the first day there. It was very relaxing. We would definitely go back.

Such a wnderful cabin!

Took a little bit to find in the dark, but we are so glad we did. Everything was wonderful! It is so quiet and peaceful there. The cabin is beautifully decorated, and the scenery is awesome! I spent one whole morning and part of the afternoon on the porch, just listening to the rain come down and looking out at the lake. My wife almost had to bring breakfast out to me because i didnt want to go in! Definitely hope it is available the next time I am in the area.

So clean and cozy!

This place was so clean and cozy!!! Me, my husband, and my dog all enjoyed this quiet and cozy get away- it was a nice treat before the holiday craziness. The huge tub was wonderful and the set up was great. The only thing I would add would be a few rocking chairs outside would have been nice along with a more comfortable mattress or mattress pad on the mattress. Other than that- I would recommend this place to everyone and will be returning for sure!

Wonderful litte cabin

We had a great short stay! The cabin is well-stocked, and has everything you need. We enjoyed fishing, the fire pit, and the welcoming porch. The owner was polite and helpful. It had just enough room for our family of 5, but would be too crowded for larger families. Everything we needed was there, including fishing supplies, basic kitchen necessities, washer/dryer with detergent, etc. Our 3 sons loved it, and want to go back soon for a longer trip. We would definitely recommend the cabin.

Anniversary Trip to Rome

My husband and I enjoyed our much needed anniversary weekend at the cabin! We relaxed on the porch, napped on the porch swing, fished in the pond and the lake and enjoyed dinner and a walk downtown Rome. The cabin itself, inside was clean and cozy, with everything we needed, but the outside is where we spent a majority of our time, laughing, talking, and listening to music. I highly recommend the cabin for a nice, quiet get away with your significant other or your family! The hosts were wonderful and easy to get in contact with! Thank you for our wonderful anniversary weekend!

Peaceful

We enjoyed the cabin and were very happy that the air conditioner worked well since the weather was unusually hot. We brought our own canoe and enjoyed paddling on the peaceful water - only having to share it with fishermen, who wanted the same quietness. The back porch overlooking the water provided a great view and the large padded swing was relaxing. We appreciate the DVD selection of movies and the option of watching movies in the den or while lying in bed.

Perfect weekend get-away

My husband and I took off for a couple of days and were lucky enough to find this cabin. It was extremely clean, charming and inviting. The kitchen had all of the amenities needed to cook each meal. The view to the pond straight ahead and to the river down below is fantastic. We had great success catching some crappie, yellow bass and white perch off of the dock. I will admit the stairs from the loft are a little daunting...maybe a grab bar at the top right would help...but not so daunting that we will not be back again ASAP. Very nice place to stay

The cabin was very nice. My 3 kids, wife, and I stayed for three nights. Only reason it is not 5 stars is the ramp to the dock was damaged so we could not use it. we we're hoping to be able to use it so we didn't have to relaunch the boat at the park Owner said the dock will be repaired next week. There is a fire pit and charcoal grill outside. Inside there full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster oven. It is stocked with dishes, pots, pans, seasonings, coffee filters, coffee, and utensils. We caught several catfish in the pond (released them back to the pond) and we fished at the near by brushy branch park. Lots of spotted bass, channel cat, and crappie. Be aware there is no wifi which was good with us to keep kids off the electronics. Cell signal is spotty inside likely because the tin roof. No problems outside the house. This was a fun vacation for us and the kids. We are thinking about booking again late summer.

Tranquil and sweet

This adorable cottage was as sweet as it gets -- the place was spotlessly clean, charming, cozy, amazingly private. My favorite part was the back porch where there is a giant swing bed, loaded with pillows. Our weather turned off unexpectedly cold or I would have stayed out there the whole time! The town of Cave Spring is also delightful. It feels like Mayberry. It only has one grocery store but we found everything we needed there (we came with nothing!) We spent a lot of time shopping in town and just loved that. The steakhouse in town was superb. Rolater Park is a dream too, with the spring right there where you can fill up your jugs with delicious fresh water. My only complaint was that the cabin doesn't have wifi...I had to go to town to get cell service and to use my computer (which I needed, for work). That could actually be good, if you need to unplug. I want to go back at some point, to do just that. Can't say enough about the property's serenity and how the owner has the place done up just perfectly. They had a lot of DVDs and we enjoyed watching movies the day it rained. There is no cable connection. So unplug, and get yourself some relaxation and peace!

Great fishing cabin

My husband and I recently stayed for a long weekend with our two dogs. The cabin was clean and the fishing was a lot of fun. While the cabin was nice, I do believe there should be better clarification in the description. First of all, the description does say there is a loft bedroom, however what it doesn't clarify is that it is a true loft, kind of like little house on the prairie. There is not a set of stairs, but more like a large ladder that you have to climb up and down. It really caught me off guard. The description also says that it is handicap friendly which is not 100% true. If you are in a wheelchair, there isn't a ramp and the bedroom would not be accessible to you. The cabin itself is small meaning you wouldn't have room to navigate. Also the description said there is TV, and while yes, physically there is a TV in the room, there was no reception so unless you watched a DVD you were out of luck. When asked, the owners said it was coming soon so hopefully that will change shortly. There was also a microwave in the pictures, but not sure where it went as there wasn't a microwave I could find. Don't get me wrong, the cabin is great, especially if you love fishing. And for a bargin too!

I was born and raised in Atlanta. My wife Janie was born in Atlanta and raised in Mableton Ga. We have been married for 40 years. We met in high school. We had all 4 of our boys during the 80's and did the most of our raising of them during the 90's. All the while I was preparing for ministry. We started our church in 1994 and have been full-time ever since. Please visit Church On The Word on Facebook. Our sons are grown now and are all quite successful. One of the middle boys is still a very handsome and eligible bachelor! Three of them have married the most beautiful girls in the world. 3 Grandsons and 2 Grand daughters grace our landscape now. We live in Douglas county and this cabin is our 2nd home.
In 2006 I found this unfinished log cabin and finished the build out over time. The pic is of our grandsons catching catfish in the pond.
The Lord has blessed us beyond description and we wanted to share our cabin blessing with others.

I was looking for a private cabin for study time and privacy during the winter months when I found this place in the spring of '06. It could have been anywhere I suppose but when I came to Cave Spring, I was so struck by the peace that was here that I just had to build it! I found the cabin an unfinished shell with only a metal roof . No plumbing, electrical, cabinets, windows... nothing! It was just the challenge I was looking for! With some qualified help and a lot of gumption we finished it a year later!
For us, some places in N. Georgia were beautiful but seemed overrun with merchant marketing. Cave Spring Ga offered festivals periodically throughout the year like the small towns of yesteryear without all of the commercialization. It just better suited us.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The view of the river channel behind is spectacular! It can be seen from the kitchen or dining windows as well as the back porch. The peace is nearly unimaginable. If you experience it you will live longer without a doubt!!
Lay down and take a long nap! Once you are here, you are hidden. Out of sight and out of mind!
The pure water that flows from the Cave Spring has been found to be some of the purest in the country and is also the water that you will find here @ the cabin. We are one of more than 700 customers that our city serves at the water department. Try it for yourself! Taste the water right out of the faucet! I'm sure you will find it to be better than any bottled water you could buy at the grocery store! Fresh, cold and pure! One of the unique features of this cabin property is the fact that it has two waters on it. The catfish pond is only 20' away from the front porch and is 100' x 150' in size and very deep at the north end! Down the slope in back is a floating dock on Big Cedar Creek that is navigable to the Coosa River and Lake Weiss. So, come back from your fishing trip on the lake and start fishing again! The pond is only 20' away from the porch deck! Private and peaceful this is not a cabin in a community of other rentals. It's all by itself!
