Chic apartment in top location fast WiFi Smart TV

A charming two-bedroom luxury apartment located in the beautiful historic centre of Lagos with easy access to the finest beaches on the Algarve. The apartment is exceptionally well located just 100 metres from the historic walls, walking distance of 1 kilometre from the train and bus stations (14mins walk), 800 metres to the Marina and quick, easy access to Meia Praia Beach, and other world famous beaches.

NOTE: Currently construction at neighbouring property, intermittent noise daytime.


On arrival our local property manager will meet and greet you and check you in.

We remain available to you through messaging or email to answer any questions. Your comfort during your stay is important to us.

You will need to make a phone call or use Whats App to reach our property manager for your arrival. We will need your arrival time and arrangements 48 hours before arrival. We will send comprehensive directions and information to help you plan your arrival.



The location is outstanding. We love the local town of Lagos, which indeed has everything to offer - shopping, wide choice of restaurants, marina trips, history and architecture. There are excellent golfing facilities within 10 mins drive from the historic centre. Easy access to incredible beaches. Coastal walking and views of the Unesco protected coastlline. The area has all year round activities within an attractive and romantic setting whether you visit for Summer or Winter sunshine.

Free parking in the residents and public car park beneath the historic city walls at the entrance to the city.

It is possible to drive into the historic centre to drop off heavy luggage. We do recommend, where possible, not driving into the historic centre. It is a five minute walk from the car park to the apartment. With advance notice we may be able to assist with luggage.

The apartment is in an elevated light position on the first floor. One set of stairs from the ground floor entrance to the first floor.

Not suitable for wheelchair users.

Two spacious bedrooms.

The master bedroom has a European king-size bed, second bedroom two single beds.

The lounge is furnished with two sofas and an interior dining table. It is a light and airy room with a charming small balcony where you can sit and enjoy a coffee.

Dedicated desk work space with monitor.

The kitchen has a quiet terrace at the rear of the property with a dining table for four.

Please note this is an older building and it comes with some peculiarities.

Accessed via the communal stairway is a basic walled roof terrace with two sun loungers for use by our visitors and guests. Two levels above our apartment on the first floor.

The property is suitable for adults. We have also received good feedback from families with teenage children as the location allows a bit of independence for older teenagers. The property is also suitable for a couple with a baby. However for safety reasons it is not suitable for young children.

International flights go to Faro and Lisbon airports.

From Lisbon airport - Under three hours drive. Or Train to Lagos.

From Faro airport - One hour drive door to door.

Locally taxis are easy to book. Uber Service is available. Airport Transfer Services can be pre-booked. Car hire available locally and at the airport.

Amazing place

Celia's place was amazing. Exactly as described, spacious, clean, comfortable and in a fantastic location. Couldn't wish for anything more. Would definitely book again the next time I visit Lagos.

Great getaway

Loved the place. Great location. Walked around town and beaches and had amazing food, and the place was clean, quiet, and cozy. Thank you to Joao who greeted us and showed us around when we arrived. Will stay here again if we get the chance!!

Great location

Very nice very modern apartment in a great location. It was about 2 minutes walk to Praca de Gil Eanes. I stayed for a week and had a great time. Had everything I needed.

Best combination of modern & historic!

We enjoyed our stay in this modern, well equipped apartment in this beautiful historic fishing village. We loved the sweet terrace overlooking the village streets. Very convenient to walk to great restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. The bed was very comfortable in the master bedroom. We appreciated this quiet haven close to busting activity in town.

This apartment was perfect for a 7 day stay in Lagos. It was very spacious, with lots of areas for seating. And it was very well equipped. The kitchen has enough coffee pods for a few days, was well stocked with various seasonings, and even had plastic wrap and foil. There were reusable water bottles to use, and chairs and other items to take to the beach. The location was central - only a 5 minute walk to the main square. We were a bit concerned about the remote parking lot, but it was only a 5 minute walk as well, and easy to manuever with suitcases, since it was relatively level. There were lots of options for English TV. There was a drawer full of games and books, including a couple of very informative books on the Algarve that we made good use of. The apartment looks exactly as the pictures show. I would definitely recommend this apartment if staying in Lagos.

Nice Stay

We rented this apartment for one week during our month long Portugal vacation. The apartment was very clean, efficient and worked well for us. The owner was great to deal with and communication was top notch. This is a perfect location if you want to explore the southern coast of the country. Staying within the walls of the city made for a quaint experience that was enjoyable. The apartment is conveniently located to many restaurants and shops.

Lagos 7 days stay

The appartment is located in the heart of Lagos. Very convenient to visit the old town. Beaches are also at a walking distance. Only inconvenience, for being downtown and also probably due to the summer period , some bars are not far and you can hear the bass, as well as the trafic and noisy evening celebrating people, but it does not last all night.

Algarve at it’s best

The apartment was very clean, spacious. and modern. Well situated in the old town. Close to restaurants, shops transport and beach. Great to have a washing machine when travelling for an extended period. Kitchen had everything we needed and very modern. Was met by building manager and shown around the unit. Great Location in Lagos

Enjoyed our stay in Lagos and the location of this apartment was wonderful. We could walk to all the restaurants and attractions in the town of Lagos. Celia provided us with very detailed directions to the apartment and where to park. She even provided YouTube videos on how to operate the washing machine and dishwasher. We were also able to park for free near the city wall and take day trips to the other towns along the coast such as Sagres and Tavira. Definitely recommend this apartment if you want to stay in town. Lagos is a good base for traveling along the Algarve coast.

Large, confortable appartment in great location!

The apartment was very roomy, clean and within walking distance of many great restaurants and landmarks. We had everything we needed for our stay, a nicely equipped kitchen, a washing machine and free parking close by. The bed was comfortable. The only thing that was a bit bothersome was the security light outside the master bedroom window that kept turning on when people or cars went by, which illuminated the whole bedroom. A better, room darkening blind would be a nice addition!

Fabulous Lagos Retreat!

This apartment was even better than advertised. It was clean, very well appointed, perfectly located just inside the old city wall but far enough from nightlife action that we were not bothered, and cloae enough to all the beaches that it never felt too long a walk or a chore to get there. In addition, just down the hill were fabulous restauranys, a very well equipped convenience store and a most fabulous bakery. The pharmacy is a few steps beyond these amenities and the staff there are wonderful too. 10 minutes walk above the apartment is a great grocery store, InterMarchē. In the house Celia provided a beach umbrella, beach chairs, shopping bags, just everything we needed. We highly recommend this VRBO.

Wonderful Apartment

We just finished a three month stay in Celia‘s apartment. We loved the apartment and all its amenities. Celia is very responsive and easy to work with. The location is unbeatable. We travel by bicycle so we were able to bike or walk everywhere we needed to go. The train station is just a short walk away giving you access to other towns along the Algarve. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our own meals, the beds were very comfortable, and the shower was super. It was very nice to have a washing machine and dishwasher. We were not able to take advantage of the small outdoor patio due to cool weather in December and January and then the apartment was getting painted so they tarped over all of our windows and outdoor space. Otherwise, it would be a lovely spot for morning coffee. It is a very quiet neighborhood. We moved from the double bedroom to the twin bedroom due to the motion detector light outside the double room window. A good solid black out curtain could solve that though. There is plenty of storage and we were able to keep our bicycles secure in an outdoor spot attached to the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment and will definitely visit again if we return to Portugal. Thanks for a great stay, Celia.

Tolle Wohnung, sehr zentral. Sehr gute Betten und trotz der zentralen Lage sehr ruhig. Die Dachterrasse ist allerdings 3 Stockwerke höher, leider. Ansonsten alles super.

Sardine House - Lagos

We rented this accommodation for two weeks on the back of excellent reviews, and we were not disappointed. The apartment was spotless, well decorated and had all the facilities we needed - my wife loved the washing machine! It is ideally located, just a few minutes' walk into Lagos town, but far enough away so as not to be disturbed by the noise. It is also close to the beach and the marina. The facilities were as described, and the apartment has everything you could possibly need. The two bedrooms are spacious, with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom and shower are wonderful. The only small point I (well my wife) would make us that there isn't a full length mirror. The WiFi speed is lightning fast, and made me green with envy! The TV/IPTV package looked really good, but we didn't use it, as we both had tablets. There is a balcony overlooking the street, and it was lovely to sit out having breakfast, and watching the world go by. There is also a rooftop terrace, which although small, gives you amazing views. We didn't use it, as we are beach people. The property manager was very helpful, and responded quickly when I contacted him about replacing the gas cylinder. Overall, Sardine House is a great place to stay, and I would thoroughly recommend it. If we come back to Lagos again, we will definitely check the availability for it.

Rundum zufrieden

Sehr schönes Appartment welches sehr gut gereinigt war, jedoch ist uns schon bei Ankunft ein unguter Geruch aufgefallen, welcher zwar nicht immer present war jedoch auch nicht verflog. Wo er genau herkam (Bad, Balkon, Küche) konnten wir nicht identifizieren.

My husband David and I are British (Scottish and English), however, we have recently moved to Switzerland where my husband works for Roche Pharmaceuticals and prior to that Barclays Bank. We enjoy visiting different countries in Europe both on business and on holidays. As we have moved to Switzerland we are currently learning German. I speak some Spanish and French also. We enjoy travelling, historic buildings, beautiful scenery, and outdoor activities.

We bought this property in 2016 as we found the location outstanding, and the property has spacious rooms with outside balconies and terraces. We love the local town of Lagos, which indeed has everything to offer - shopping, marina trips, history and architecture, all of which we enjoy. We took up golf in 2012 and have found excellent golfing facilities within 10 mins drive from the historic centre. We felt that this apartment genuinely offered the best of all worlds, being accessible to the beach and marina and providing us with a Winter sun destination with all year round activities within an attractive, lively, and romantic setting. As we need to keep in touch with our office when on holiday we have fibre-optic broadband with a 400Mb speed, so e find it is easy to balance work and travel. We have also learnt how to pilot a motorboat and obtained our RYA certificate. We enjoy renting a boat at the marina and exploring the stunning coastline.
