Marina stay

This property was the best. Just right for me and family that came and went over the time. I could walk to almost all the places I like to go. The hosts were more than welcoming and filled all of our needs. I would like to stay here again.

Great experience

We only have wonderful thoughts about our stay. Donnie and Otto, the owners, could not have been nicer and more helpful. The flat is as pictured and lacks nothing one needs. It is located in the best area of the city- All in all, a great experience which we hope to repeat soon.

Clean and Quaint in a lovely Neighborhood

The Marina property was comfortable and clean. We rented a two-bedroom unit on the second floor of a four-story building. The owner and his wife lived on the first floor and a family with three children lived above us on the third floor. The owners were lovely and friendly, peppering our experience with their intimate hospitality and delicious Italian food. The apartment was cool and breezy and is only 6 blocks away from busy Chestnut Street which has all the best restaurants and coffee houses in this young and vibrant, dog-friendly area. All in all, it was a pleasurable stay in a comfortable house in a great neighborhood.

Great place!

When I look at reviews before booking, there are certain items that are essential, cleanliness and a comfortable bed. This flat was immaculate, and the beds were among the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. Besides this, the apartment was gorgeous, the kitchen was large and everything you could need to make yourself at home was there. In addition, Otto and his wife, were so gracious. They always wanted to make sure you were comfortable and if there was anything that you needed. The location of the flat, one block from Marina Blvd, one block from Palace of Fine Arts, two blocks from Crissy Field and the Presidio, a 15-minute walk to Fort Mason and the Sunday Farmer’s Market was icing on the cake and is probably the most incredible find you can get on VRBO in SF!

I Never Wanted to Leave This Apartment - It Was Wonderful

I am usually satisfied with VRBO rentals but Otto's place was just perfect. We loved our month-long visit and truly hated to leave. It was a beautiful, spacious and comfortable apartment, had every possible amenity, and the location is great. Across the road from Chrissy Field and down the street from the Presidio. Also right down the street from the Palace of Fine Arts, barely 2 blocks away. Quiet and lovely streets. Plus Chestnut Street, filled with restaurants and shops, is a few blocks away. And the Number 30 bus is on the corner and will take you all around the city - North Beach, Union Square, Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf (which you can walk to, not very far.) I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Otto! And Matt!

Best place in the Marina!

Where do I even begin? From the reservation process, to the welcome, throughout the stay and as we were driving away, Otto was the best!! The condo is in the perfect location for those who love to walk to either Chrissy Field and the Golden Gate Bridge, to the restaurants on Chestnut Street and even through the Presidio. We could not have hoped for a better place. Inside the condo you will find everything you need and Otto goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. We can not wait to return next year and hopefully even sooner. Thanks Otto!

Couldn’t have been better!

From our greeting when we arrived, to the comfortable beds and the amazingly well-equipped kitchen, everything was beyond our expectation. The location is ideal for walking and getting around on public transit, but there is parking for one car. We hope to return again.

Amazing rental!

It was truly the best rental! The location was perfect for our needs: 1/2 block from our daughter, one block from the marina, walking distance to shops and restaurants, and a very safe neighborhood. The condo was spacious, the kitchen was well stocked, and the landlord was very accommodating and friendly. We could not have had a better experience.

Great Marina apartment

A really nice, large, sunny apartment in the Marina District. Wonderful location - 2 blocks from Palace of Fine Arts and 1 block from Marina seawall and close to Chrissy Field. Lovely views from these walks. Otto, the landlord, is so nice, and really helpful. Has off-street parking, a real plus in this neighborhood. A very friendly neighborhood, and only 5 blocks walk from the interesting restaurants on Chestnut Street. Also on Chestnut Street a nice market (Marina Supermarket) and a great butcher shop (Marina Meeats) for those who eat meat. We hope to return here again in the future.

Beautiful place with great location

Loved our stay at this place but it was cut short by COVID-19. SF was very progressive about shutting everything down to stop the spread. With everything closed there was no reason to stay. This was outside the control of the landlord. Would love to return under different circumstances.

comfortable, elegant, well maintained

We spent 6 weeks in this beautiful, conveniently located apartment last summer. It is one block from the Marina. The description and pictures in the listing are accurate and the property is very well maintained. If we ever had any questions or problems the owner Otto was always on the premises and helped us immediately. He treated us like guests in his home and we look forward to returning.

Great home away from home!

We needed a furnished temporary home while conducting a job search in the bay area. Not only did the accommodations of 1926 Jefferson exceed our expectations, but the opportunities in the area were wonderful! We ended up staying longer than we originally had planned, which took us through the holidays, and the apartment had everything we needed to have our family out for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The kitchen is fully equipped and a pleasure to work in. There was a lot of space and storage for everything we had. The bedrooms were very comfortable. Within a 10 minute walk, you can get to the water and fantastic views of the Golden Gate bridge, or walk around the Palace of Fine Arts, or up to Chestnut street--which has many great restaurants and shops. If you want to walk a little further, the Presidio has many trails and is beautiful year round. Also, in the spring and summer, Fort Mason has a wonderful food truck venue with live music on Friday nights. Buses are easy to access from the apartment if you are without a car. If you want to go into downtown, the extra time it may take to take a bus can be well worth it with the cost of parking being so high in San Francisco.
