Quiet, Private, Beachy 2-bedroom, Walk to Kailua Beach, A/C

Pacheco's Hale is a beautiful two-bedroom, second-floor unit - nice and breezy with a private entrance. We have been renting our property since the 1980s and this unit since 2014. This clean, quiet unit is completely furnished and updated regularly. The two lanais have views of palm trees, lush green tree tops, Mount Olomana and the Koolau Mountains. The high ceilings and beachy feel make this comfortable unit perfect for your Kailua stay. You can choose to enjoy the nice tradewind breeze in our airy unit, or cool off with A/C.

Pacheco's hale is located within walking distance (10-15 minutes) of the white sands of Kailua and Lanikai beach, great shopping including boutique shops, Starbucks, Whole Foods, Target and fantastic restaurants.

Catch the sunrise over the Mokulua Islands, take a stroll on renowned beaches, and relax in the cool, Windward breezes. Or take an adventurous kite-boarding lesson, kayak to the Mokulua Islands, then enjoy an afternoon cocktail at one of the many fantastic restaurants. There are so many options!

There is a queen-size bed in one bedroom with its own lanai, and king-size in the second bedroom (two twin beds available upon request). For your convenience, there is one full bath and a powder room. The kitchen is equipped with nearly all the equipment and appliances you can think of!

We can accommodate up to four guests comfortably (or 4 adults with 1 small child max) for 30-days or more. Please inquire about our monthly rates as VRBO may not be calculating the discount accurately.

Equipment rentals are nearby and convenient including bicycles, kayaks, and paddleboards. Beach equipment including toys, coolers, chairs, umbrellas, etc. are available upon request.

Perfect for our family!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location is excellent. It's a quiet spot, but close to town and to the beach. The unit is spotless. I especially enjoyed sleeping with the windows and sliding doors open, to hear the birds and feel the breeze.

Beautiful place

We (2adults and 2 small children) loved staying in Kailua and this property is a great place to stay. Close to shopping and coffee shops, and most importantly close to the beautiful Kailua and Lanikai beaches. Some evenings we wished for air conditioning but the unit gets a nice breeze with the windows opened up. We were welcomed with a basket of goodies and had no issues while staying here. We were sad to leave and loved every minute of being here. Would definitely recommend.

My family and I found the location to be perfectly located, near the beach and food. We were a little worried when we first got here because there was no A/C but the winds blow nicely throughout the home. The place was clean and very comfortable. The owners were very nice and accommodating Definitely recommend this to any travels.

Modern hideaway

My family and I stayed a week, but enjoyed staying so much we could have stayed longer. With a modern and clean aesthetic, the unit was also cozy and comfortable located just minutes away from amazing beaches and Kailua shopping/dining. Our host Kulia was super accommodating, helpful and very sweet. My only wish was that it had a gas stovetop instead of an electric plug-in hotplate, but I love to cook. Regardless, I would stay again in a heartbeat and I recommend highly!

Best VRBO experience we have ever had!

We've stayed in a lot of VRBOs across the Hawaiian Islands, and this gem of a property is at the TOP of our list. A private entrance on a quiet street that is close to the beach, supermarkets and road access to other parts of the island are just a few of the highlights of this property. The real magic is Kulia, the owner, whose home welcomed us with cleanliness that made us feel respected right from the start. Fresh linens, fresh towels, a shining kitchen, and bathrooms that are showroom ready - this is hands down the cleanest place we have ever rented. On top of that, any question we had or anything we needed, Kulia responded within minutes to help us out. She is clearly an owner who cares, and who also understands the need for privacy as she did not reach out or interfere unless we reached out first, which showed total respect for our need to unplug and relax. If you are looking for a sandy beach that stretches on for miles and allows you to meander in your thoughts, take an early morning run or watch the sunrise come up over the ocean, then Kailua is a perfect choice. For anyone who likes to run, there is a 5.76-mile loop from this VRBO, to the beach, and then right on the bike trail and up and over a small hill and back that offers traffic free running and spectacular views. Starbucks? Restaurants? Target? Grocery shopping? Everything is within walking distance, and there are some great food choices for Vegans (Nalu Health Bar & Cafe, Whole Foods and Lovin' Oven). In a world where everything is promised to get consumers in the door, and then the disappointment is revealed - this VRBO is the complete opposite. Understated at the outset, this property will continue to delight and surprise you. This property is a shining example of why we will never stay in a hotel room again. Thank you Kulia for a fantastic "home away from home" experience. We will be back!

This was perfect for our needs for the week. Kulia was so nice and we appreciated her quick response to anything we needed. I can't wait to come back and stay again. Clean and Comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay at Pacheco's Hale. The space was very clean and quiet. The neighborhood was really nice as well! It is a short drive to the beach, which is awesome! It is the perfect sized space for a small family or a couple to spend their vacation. Kulia was very friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed!

Super clean and organized

Stayed here for 30 days and absolutely love it. Kulia was great to work with and very accommodating. The place was super clean and up to date which is always hard to find in Hawaii. I was there though Hurricane Lane which didn't hit Oahu (thank god) but she was all over the preparation and kept me in the loop. Overall great stay and cant wait to come back!!

Beautiful home, perfect location, incredibly CLEAN and great hospitality

This was the absolute perfect spot for our family. The accommodations were spacious, the perfect size for my husband and two teenage kids. The location couldn’t have been better. We were able to hit a different beach and hike every day with not much of a drive. The beaches within walking distance or a very short drive are breathtaking and incredible hikes just up the street. Kulia was the perfect hostess with a wealth of information about places to go, sites to see, activities and her restaurant recommendations were spot on! The home had everything and more that we needed and best of all to us it was sooo CLEAN which is incredibly important to us. Made us feel even more at home. We loved every second of our trip and can’t wait to come back to this exact spot.

What a fabulous place!

We loved staying at Kulia’s place, it was a perfect location and a gorgeous bright airy space. She went out of her way to make available special items for our toddler which was a huge help (beach toys, shade umbrellas, special soaps etc). We highly recommend it and would stay again for sure!

This home made our trip!

We felt at home the moment we arrived. It was clean, greatly decorated and incredibly homey. We loved coming home from our island adventures to relax here! Morning coffee was amazing on the patio off the kitchen. The neighborhood was safe and clean! This house was close to town and within walking distance to the beach! Would stay here again! The owners where so kind!!! Mahalo! Aloha !

Wonderful property with Hawaiian hospitality

We enjoyed our stay at Pacheco's Hale tremendously. The house was clean, quiet, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. It was a perfect location to walk to the beaches, restaurants and stores. While we were there the island had a few 90 degree days with little breeze and a good amount of humidity. Our son and his fiance were on Oahu to get married and our daughter in law was going to getting ready at our rental. When I contacted Kulia to let her know she insisted that she provide some A/C for the day of the wedding so our daughter in law would have a cool room to get dressed in and have her hair and makeup done. She also provided a wonderful welcome basket upon our arrival and was most accommodating even leaving us a delicious loaf of fresh baked banana bread. Thank you Kulia for providing such a wonderful space and showing us true Hawaiian hospitality. You have a wonderful rental and we would love to return in the future.

This property was awesome!

Pacheco's Hale unit is exactly as described and was very clean and comfortable. It was a perfect fit for our family of four and we really enjoyed or stay. The location is ideal for enjoying all that Kailua and the Island has to offer. Mahalo Kulia!

Everything we were looking for

We traveled to Oahu and spent 9 nights at this more than comfortable location. It is nice to stay in a place that the owner takes as much pride in as we do in our own home. Everything was either new or looked new. The unit was extremely clean. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, and everything you would need to cook, however we never made a meal. My favorite part of the unit was the shower. Great water pressure and a high shower head that facilitated my 6'4" frame without having to duck under the shower head. My wife and I traveled here with our 16 year old daughter and 14 year old son.The two bedroom unit with two separate beds in the second bedroom worked out great. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms and the living room kept the unit comfortable during most of our stay. The location itself is away from the chaos of Honolulu and Waikiki, yet close enough to drive to those areas in our rental car within 15-20 minutes. After spending our days on tours or on the beaches, we looked forward to returning to the house. Plenty of places to eat nearby as well as a Target and grocery stores for any needed supplies. The most beautiful beaches we found on the entire island (Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach) are less than a mile from the house. A hike up the "Pill Box" (a mountain trail near Lanikai Beach) was a mild workout with unbelievable views of the beach and surrounding area that was well worth the hike (a must do for anyone in somewhat decent shape). Though we only had one physical meeting with our host when we arrived, she was happy to provide her cell phone number in case we needed anything. I texted her several times for suggestions and when we needed dry beach towels. She was quick to respond and left items that were requested in the common area at the bottom of the stairs near our private entrance. I would not hesitate to book this unit again or recommend it to anyone traveling to Oahu. Thanks again Kulia for providing a home away from home for us for our first trip to Hawaii.

Beautiful!

We had a wonderful time. This upstairs unit has gorgeous mountain views from windows, as well as a 2 lovely upstairs lanais to relax on. Well stocked, roomy and brand new. We had a great time and our hostess was helpful in every way. A nice walk to the beach or Kailua town. We had a wonderful time!

Excellent Stay at Pacheco's Hale

I selected the unit because of the really good reviews and the location. We were not disappointed. The unit had everything we needed. Located between Kailua town and Kailua beach, you can easily walk to restaurants, shops and beach. The unit was impeccably decorated and roomy. We really liked having the private, locked access area which was roomy enough to store a kayak we borrowed while in town. You can see the mountains from the living room and living room patio. The kitchen was fully equipped. Bathrooms were sizable. My favorite part was just sitting in the patio having my morning coffee and listening to the birds. My husband's and niece's favorite part were the amazingly comfortable beds and bedding. We hope to stay again in future visits. Thank you Kulia.

Splendid holiday

Great location in Kailua

This is a great location in Kailua, close to shops, restaurants and the beach. NIce and quiet. Everything is new and Kulia is very nice and responsive to any questions or requests you might have. No AC, but it wasn't really needed with the windows open and fans on. Do me a favor and walk to Hibachi for their poke bowls, I miss it already!

Easy, quiet place to relax

The place is very clean and very comfortable size for a group of four. We had a couple of kids and Kulia installed a baby gate, supplied a pack'n'play and had books and beach stuff available for us to use which made the trip SO much easier! Yummy fruit on arrival and shampoo/conditioner/shower gel provided which again was amazing! The beautiful beach is about a 10-15 min walk with a great kids park along the way. Shops are an easy 10-15 min walk. Found we didn't need a car if you were happy to stay around Kailua and just relax. The area is so quiet and leafy and Kulia is both really helpful but not at all intrusive. Only downside is that there is no available washing machine.

Great Place to stay!

My husband and I along with my daughter and her husband stayed here in Feb 2017. Pacheco's apartment was perfect for us. It was updated, clean and close to the town of Kailua and the beaches. Kulia was great to work with, very timely communication and most helpful! We would definitely stay here again. Our 10 days went way too fast but would highly recommend this location in a nice residential area. She had some chairs, umbrella and cooler that we were able to use at the beach which was great!! Thanks for making our stay a great one!

Great location, attractive apartment

The apartment was immaculate and attractive. Located in a nice neighborhood and very near the beautiful Kailua Beach. The Thursday evening Farmer's Market is a must do, so many food vendors to choose from. Kailua is a great place to get away from the crowded hustle and bustle of Honolulu/Waikiki Beach area. Definitely recommend this place!

Perfect retreat for us in Kailua

We (2 adults and our 16-year-old daughter) just returned from a lovely 9 day Christmas visit staying at Pacheco's Hale. The unit is charming and looks exactly like the photos. As other reviewers have said it is immaculate and everything is practically brand new--and the beds were more comfortable than our beds at home! The décor has a beachy feel and we were immediately right at home. Kulia could not have been better to work with and was helpful and responsive. She even had an arrangement of fresh Christmas flowers on the table awaiting our arrival--such a nice touch. The location is ideal (in a quiet residential neighborhood but close enough for a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive to both town and Kailua Beach Park and Lanikai beach). Don't be concerned about it being a garage apartment; it is private and very quiet. I would highly recommend for your Kailau visit.

Beautiful Spot

We just got back from our week in kailua. This rental was great. Everything looks brand new. There were two couples and this place suited our needs perfectly. It was a short walk to the beach or town. Kailua is a wonderful town to stay in. Nice enough that it has a good selection of restaurants, but not crazy and touristy like Waikiki. With two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, it was perfect for the four of us. The beach towels and cooler bags came in really handy. The fridge with the ice maker also really helped as we filled a plastic bag every day and kept the cooler bag cold. There isn't anything I can complain about with the property. Everything was in great condition and really nice. Fleet like I was at someone's house and not a rental property. Hope to be back again.
