Have romantic dinner with creekside settings in a local restaurant. Topanga village is a rare find away from the city and many artist made this eclectic and artsy village their home.
a fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to prepare lunch or dinner to enjoy on your private patio or by the pool.
INSIDE : The bedroom is a restful retreat with a queen size bed, pillow top cushions, all cotton linen, lots of storage, ceiling fan and airco.
The dining /living room has an oversized table, TV ( streaming only) sleeping sofa with memory foam mattress and skylights ( daylight is not blocked)
THE POOL : has a little waterfall, floating mattresses, lounge chairs, umbrellas and is surrounded by impressive palm and paradise trees.
Pool hours are from 9 am to 9 pm.
The pool is not heated in November, December and January and February
Please note. For insurance and privacy reasons the pool surroundings are available for staying guest only.
From this guesthouse it's easy to commute to nearby upscale grocery stores, restaurants and promenades at a 10 min drive to the other side of the canyon. A 30 min drive to Malibu and 40 min drive to Hollywood and universal studios.
The property is no smoking or drugs.

Wonderful Topanga setting

Very nice place with a fabulous backyard and beautiful views. Rosie is a marvelous host who respects your privacy but is available if you need anything

Gorgeous outdoor space away from the chaos of L.A

We stayed at this guesthouse for 7 days. The first day we arrived rosy greeted us with a warm welcome and a plethora of snacks and drinks.check in was easy and the instructions are straight forward. Everything was clean. Rosy thought of the little things which was nice in case you forgot anything. We had privacy which was really nice. Both the bed in the bedroom and sofa bed were both comfortable. The place is big enough for about 2 people any more than that and it would feel a little crowded. There were plates,cups and utensils for us to use which came in handy. The view from the pool was incredible. I would definitely book here again!

Inviting stay!

Host was welcoming! It was my fault, but in review of the “keys” we did not see the code to open the lockbox. Thankfully, the host greeted us upon arrival. In review of the email message, we still could not find the code. Is it possible to make that code easier to find? The place was very welcoming and clean. We hope to return soon! Thank you!

Just what we were looking for!

We had an amazing time at Rosy’s VRBO. The neighborhood was lovely and a great location for spending time in Malibu while enjoying some mountain views. By far our favorite part was the heated pool though! The property was breath taking and made for a refreshing trip!

Comfortable and welcoming family stay

East check in process, friendly host, awesome location! The kids loved the pool so much that they didn’t even care about the beach! Rosy had good recommendations on hikes and places to see. I Would highly recommend!

Lovely Place to stay

Excellent location in Topanga. Beautiful views. Property clean and equipped with all you need for vacation. Rosy was good on communication and great host. She kindly warmed the pool for us and we were happy to use her beautiful pool on couple (not really warm)days in March. We had a wonderful stay at Rosy's house. We would definitely book again.

worst host I've had no communication, when I asked why the house didn't match the listing I was immediately asked to leave. leaving me without a place to stay and having to find an open hotel room else where

an adequate stay at the guest house

My mom and I had an adequate stay at the guest house. We were traveling to oversee some construction in a near by neighborhood. Rosy, our host, was very communicative. And the house adjacent guest house is accurately depicted in the listing. Check-in was smooth, however, when we first arrived we noted that the unit smelled very strongly of perfumed, synthetic, cleaning supplies. This was a huge disappointment. We think it was used on hard surfaces so the bedrooms seemed relatively "safe" from the smell. We wound up eating our first dinner in the bedroom. This was really disappointing! This is an expensive listing and it felt like corners were cut, i.e.: cheap cleaning supplies, opened coffee beans, Irish spring hand soap. I use the word "adequate" because that was our experience. I'm somewhat surprised by the all 5-star reviews. This accommodation met our needs, that was it. Also we could hear sound travel between the unit and the main house (+ dog barking). The property itself was beautiful and we appreciated the view; easy access to Topanga Canyon is also lovely and valuable to us. I would imagine the swimming pool is quite nice, though we didn't get a chance to experience it in February (off season). The appliances worked (note: no stove top, induction style "hot plate"). I was grateful for the heating unit in the living room as we needed it and the space heaters in the bedrooms. The windows in my bedroom didn't open (disappointing); shower-head is low-flow.

Quiet and comfortable

This guest house is very well thought out and adequately supplied. It is high up on a curvy canyon road but once you get there it is lovely and quiet. It only takes about 10 minutes to get down to Ventura Blvd. It is pretty much as described. No stove or oven, but there are two sturdy hotplates and a toaster oven and microwave. We ate most meals out so it more than met our needs for cooking. We liked it and would come back.

LA getaway

We were very comfortable in Rosy’s Topanga property. It had everything we needed. It was fabulous to have a pool, perfectly heated from the California sun, for our kids to play in. We drove into LA twice and didn’t mind the 30-40 minute commute. We just made sure to stay off the freeway during rush hour. Small price to pay to stay away from all the city hubbub.

Fantastic!

This property was exactly as depicted and exactly what we needed! The location is perfect - a 15-minute down to Malibu, 5 minutes to Woodland Hills, 10 minutes to Calabasas, 25 to Santa Monica. We (my wife and I and our 15-year-old son) could enjoy all of the great things the area offers, but have our own secluded getaway in the Santa Monica Mountains (including our own pool). And, Rosy was the perfect host - very friendly, kind, helpful, and available. We even found fresh grapefruits (from her tree) waiting for us one morning. We'd definitely go back!

Welcome California respite!

We thoroughly enjoyed our all-too-brief stay in Topanga last week! Lounging by and swimming in the heated pool made for an extremely relaxing holiday in the California sunshine. The quiet location of the house worked perfectly for us, and Rosy was gracious and charming (and helpful!) throughout our stay. Definitely recommend, and will DEFINITELY return!

Tranquil spot close to the action

Loved our stay at Topanga. The guesthouse was well equipped and very comfortable, with easy parking directly in front. Cute town of Topanga with restaurants, shops and hiking. A short drive to Malibu, Santa Monica and LA region. We had fun driving up and down the curvy canyon road, the road is very dark at night. Lovely host that lives adjacent to the guest house. Would recommend if you want a peaceful getaway that is close to it all.

Cozy and away from it all

This place was great for our family of 4. The pool was nice and warm. One thing I didn’t realize was that this place is literally connected to the owner’s home. There is a false wall built in so we cannot cross paths on the inside of the House. I was erroneously assuming we were in a guest house that was detached from the main house. Just something to be aware of as it was not what I was assuming. That said, the owner was respectful of our privacy.

Escape in the Canyon

Had a wonderful stay at Rosy's place. The pool and outdoor areas are the perfect place to catch a little sun and relax with a good book. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Would definitely book again.

Wonderful rural home & arrangements

Rosy is a super hostess; couldn't done more or been more friendly (yet not intrusive). Excellent fully equipped home. Like others, we loved the pool and views from the 'back' deck area including sunsets (though no views from the house windows, which was a bit of a disappointment). Rosy kindly warmed the pool for us and our happy toddler on the couple warm days in January. We enjoyed the solitude of Topanga Canyon hillside, though appreciated the location 15 minutes from beaches/ocean and 15 from uphill shopping and dining. Thanks Rosy!

Lovely!

This gem is tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood, but close to Malibu and Santa Monica. The house was very clean with many special touches. Rosy was the perfect host. Highly recommend!

Peaceful Stay!

The property was very clean and in a great location. Away from the noise of the city but yet not to far to get to Malibu and Santa Monica. Rosy was a jewel of a host and took very good care of us, and yet we still had privacy. The pool was heated and the kids enjoyed it every day. Wonderful stay!
