INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Never assume

Never assume all adults will share beds . No sofa bed, had to go buy a blowup mattress for one family member to sleep on. There were 4 of us , Mom, Dad, Son and girlfriend. Son and girlfriend do not share a bed. A sofa bed should be a requirement and a spare bedroom closet would have been nice as well. One family member had to live out of his suitcase for the week. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. Just didn’t expect to have to go make an expensive purchase for a place for one of us to sleep after spending very cost to $3000 already. The sofa is too small for a 6 foot 3 man. So please don’t assume all your guest will share a bed.

Unit 2105

The kitchen was equipped as advertised. The ice maker stayed up with demand all week. The couches were very comfortable, but visibly cracked and very worn. The master bedroom bed was bumpy and the sheets were pilled and uncomfortable. This unit was no frills and very basic. Beach services are not provided with this unit, but has been in nearly every other one that we have ever stayed in the past. The elevators were problematic. If you are a light sleeper, this unit may not be for you because the elevators are very loud. While it was clear that the elevators were being worked on during our stay, one was down all week and the others very slow. The dryer in this unit takes a really long time to dry even a small load.

Great Stay! Missing Kitchen Needs

We really enjoyed our stay. The location and beach views were perfect. We were a little disappointed in the kitchen that stated basic needs were available. We could not find a cutting board and the knives were in poor condition. The master bathroom toilet made such loud noises it woke our sleeping baby often! We aren’t big TV watchers, but the TV channel selections were very limited. Overall we give this condo a 4 star rating! Just need a few things updated and fixed!

Hot tub disappointed

Hot tubs were awful. One was cold and 2 jets worked. One was hot and jets barely worked at all. Truly disappointing. Elevators were hit or miss working. The last day there was mostly miss with terrible crowds waiting to ride them.

Week at the Beach

TV in bedroom missing the cable box. Lady at front desk very rude and no help at all. We called and was told they were going to come look at the Tv and bring us the parking pass. showed up the day before we left to come home. We enjoyed our stay

Place needs updating. And cleaning better.old in bathrooms and dust everywhere. Floor was dirty, made feet or socks black. Very high up. Couldn't see manta rays or dolphins very well.

Dated, and non working appliances, and general conditions.

Location was great, but 2 of 3 TV’s didn’t work(living room and second Bedroom), glass doors very difficult to open, one my wife couldn’t even open in master bedroom. Master bedroom king bed very uncomfortable, WiFi sketchy, had to use my own Mifi for internet.

Needs work

Check in experience was bad- 2 hours late getting room cleaned. Great location but Decor needs updating- bedding was old and worn, torn screen, dishwasher leaked, furniture old. I felt like the price was high for what we got and communication with owners/leasing agent was non-existent.

An alright place to stay

I base this review on the condo we stayed in but, I will also rate the property and location. Location: not too far from Pier Park, So that was a plus. However, too far for the price of “location”. The property was clean other then the outside trash cans always being full. The elevators made creaking noises and at one point stopped working for a few minutes. There’s a walk across to the parking deck that’s air conditioned. That was nice. So in all, this location should be less but, an alright place to stay. I won’t come visit this location ever again based off the condo we stayed in... Can’t say which one as to not offend the owners. lol The view is the only thing this condo has going for it. (Oh, and the fact that it did not have any bugs that we saw) The owners of this condo need to step it up... seriously! Everything inside the condo was the cheapest stuff possible! The pots and pans are rusted! The silverware was sparse and none of it or the dishes, bowls, or glasses matched. Looks like they shopped at a flea market for whatever they needed to put in here. We didn’t find out that there were no potholders until after the food was done. The place hadn’t been cleaned properly, there’s a stack of dust on the furniture (lamps, dressers, TVs.) Looks like they just wipe the kitchen and go. I had to sweep the floors before unpacking because there was so much sand, dirt and broken shells on the floor that we couldn’t walk around without stepping on it. The extra pillows didn’t have pillow cases. The sheets were so thin you could see through them. (And no mattress cover, yuck) The dryers lint trap is a fire hazard. (Broken, rusted, and I actually cut myself on it) We had to go buy an HDMI cord just to watch TV in the bedroom (and pillow cases) and Lastly, you can ONLY use NON “h.e.” laundry detergents in their machine... Good luck finding that Stuff. We were fortunate to find one, but it took a ton of looking! They said it would break the washer, but “h.e.” creates LESS suds because it uses LESS water. But I did what they asked. But, I’ll never stay here again. Not for the prices they are charging! I hope this helps someone considering this place. It’s not bad... just not the standard we are use to renting.

FYI to Owner - Living Room TV occasionally pops and crackles while playing, the ice maker seems to get clogged easily and the overhead kitchen light doesn't work. However, none of these issues hindered out stay. We had great time! Thank you!!!

My stay

I would have rated the condo 4 stars had the wifi internet information been provided to me on day 1 instead of day 3. Other than that, it was a nice condo...very clean and cozy with a great view. The condo is situated at the far west end of PCB so if you're looking for a party, you will have to drive. Luckily, that is not what we went for. Peach and quiet in early May is the way to go for us. Thank you.
