Charming log cabin in a great location for fishing Rock Creek. Very clean inside and out. Kitchen very well equipped. Hosts were helpful and very reachable as they live next door.

The most amazing cabin

My wife, some friends and I stayed at this cabin for three nights while we were in town for a function. It was absolutely amazing! We loved every detail and the peaceful setting. The hosts were wonderful and we really enjoyed meeting them when we just happened to bump into them during a walk through the quiet neighborhood.

Beautiful and serene

A very easy 30 minute drive into Missoula. This location allows you to listen to rushing water and birds, access to fishing and the ability to disconnect from the world as much as you like. Cozy home with a great hot tub set up. Would recommend it for people wanting a sense of solitude. Great experience.

Beautiful

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was beautiful with newly remodeled kitchen and bath. New appliances and everything you could need in the kitchen; even spices and foil. The hot tub was very clean. Hoping to come back in the summer and make better use of the covered deck and grill. The river is so close; you can see and hear it. Great spot for wadding.

The home was exactly as we expected from the pictures and description - comfortable, well appointed and cozy. What we didn’t expect was all the thoughtful touches that made this one of the best rentals we’ve had in the last eight years of spending six or more weeks in western rentals. The kitchen was kitted out to standards well above the typical rental - professional knives that were sharp and well maintained, a meat thermometer for the grill, all the cooking tools and appliances you could want. The house had central air conditioning, a rarity in the west, and one to be appreciated on hot summer days. A perfectly groomed grass yard, a vegetable garden open to guests, a lovely covered deck. The owners were awesome - they were friendly and helpful and went above and beyond in helping my husband find the best fly fishing in the area.

This fabulous log house is comfortable, cozy, and immaculate. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing few days here. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Definitely would come again!

Lovely Stay

Although Memorial Day was not good for fishing in Rock Creek, we still had a lovely time. Followed the creek, and ended up in Philipsburg, one of the suggestions in the coffee table book the owners put together. Saw the little herd of big horn sheep, and did some of the hikes. Extra nice that we could bring our pup! Hope to be back!

Exceptional Cabin

This was our first trip to Montana and staying in the Rock Creek Sawmill Cabin made our trip very special. There was everything that you could ever need in the cabin. It was decorated beautifully. Sitting in the Jacuzzi in the evening overlooking the trees was incredible even in the snow! The Jacuzzi was always ready after a day of adventure to relax in. The cabin is just a short walk to Rock Creek for fishing. This cabin is Lisa & Tim's home and we felt like "invited Guests" not renters. We can't wait to come back!

Peaceful Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saw Mill Cabin. This is a lovely cabin in a quiet, peaceful and beautiful setting. We enjoyed fishing Rock Creek or just sitting out on the deck or soaking in the hot tub. Most of the time, all you hear is the rippling of the waters of Rock Creek, the rustling of the leaves in the trees, and the chirping of the birds. The cabin was very comfortable and the owners invite you to enjoy fresh veggies from their garden.

For 22 years, we owned the Cabins at Lopstick in Pittsburg, NH. Hosting guests from all over the world who traveled to northern New Hampshire to fishing, vacation, snowmobile and and hunt. In 2008, we bought a little cabin on Rock Creek. We rented it out until 2013 when we sold Lopstick and moved permanently to Montana to fish, hike and hunt Montana. Of all the places we've fished in the American West, we chose Rock Creek as our home.

The Sawmill Cabin is perfect for two people or two couples. The large back deck is perfect for meals, gatherings, or relaxing after a day of adventure in Western Montana. We love this cozy log cabin and made it our home for years. We now live in a neighboring house while maintaining the lawn and gardens. We love having beautiful flowers and fresh veggies to share. We love this cabin because of the view and the quiet, and we hope you do too!

Having a large hot tub on the deck allows you to take in the sights with relaxing. Also the gas fireplace and the homey touches make Sawmill a cabin folks return to year after year.
