We had a great time, the place and property are very nice and well maintained, the hosts are really welcoming, and we could not believe how much there is to do in the area, we will have to come again.

Pleasantly remote within a rural landscape and therefore very peaceful. Interesting flora and fauna, especially birds. Spacious grounds with a very welcome swimming pool. The gite was well equipped and homely - All we needed.We were warmly welcomed by Rita and Ed who were on hand for any queries or requests, without being intrusive.The Barn is situated within easy reach of chateaux, vineyards and of course La Loire.We hope to return one day!

A lovely relaxing holiday

The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The outside areas are well maintained and the pool area is great. The owners are very friendly and helpful, which all adds to a lovely relaxing holiday.

great home and superb hosts

secluded away from the maddening crowd, nestles this real find. the owners ED& Rita go out of their way to provide a great welcome but are always on hand to provide advice on the area and its attractions.

Perfect relaxing stay. Fantastic hosts and wonderful accommodation with a glorious pool.

The accommodation was perfect. The host were so attentive and genuinely cared about our experience. It was rural, very pretty and peaceful play to stay. The pool was a lovely benefit. Just perfect for a relaxing stay away from the hustle n bustle of life. Will definitely return.

Wonderful rest with great hosts in beautiful part of the Loire valley

We absolutely loved our week at Ed and Rita’s. They made both us and our girls feel at home from we sat our feet in the drive way until we drove off. We will not hesitate to come back and will highly recommend this place to others looking for a calm place in the Loire with space for the kids, bikes available and a heated swimming pool

Lovely place,great area

We had an 11 night stay at The Barn. Rita and Ed (and Quinn the dog) made us very welcome and were there if we had a problem or any concerns. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped with a lovely pool!. Set in quiet countryside but within easy reach of all the beautiful chateaux of the Loire. valley. Overall we had a lovely holiday.

Amazing!

Ed and Rita have crated an absolute paradise. They were amazing hosts - nothing was too much trouble and always on hand if you needed them. A beautiful property in lovely grounds and the heated pool was fantastic. So much to do in the local area. Can’t wait to go back. Thanks again for a brilliant stay.

A wonderful get away

This is a lovely gite and an ideal place to explore the Loire area including Puy du Fou which was only an hour away.The gite has everything you need for a an enjoyable stay. The pool is a welcome addition which we made use. Ed & Rita are excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and their local knowledge helped greatly in planning trips out and the local wine tasting!We will come back again!

Beautiful spot with wonderful hosts

Thank you to Rita and Ed for a wonderful four nights in their perfect gite. We could not have asked for more, the gite was spotless and the pool was stunning and the prefect temperature. Our children loved Quinn the friendly dog who played with them beautifully. Ed and Rita were perfect hosts with the right amount of chat/local knowledge and distance. Thank you! We will be back and recommending this gite to all our friends and family

Most beautiful gite in a quiet hamlet near sightseeing gems

'The Barn' is equiped with everything you need and more, even a welcoming pack (milk, coffe thee etc) to get you started. Rita and Ed are the most kind hosts you can imagine. They will help you out with anything and answer all of your questions, but leave you very private. 10 out of 10 score ❤️ In the area lots of things to do within less than an hour drive, the direct enviroment is very quiet and peacefull. Lovely big garden and heated swimmingpool.

5 Star accommodation with 5 star hosts. We had a fantastic time at The Barn. The accommodation is very spacious and well equipped. The swimming pool was great and such a nice addition to have available after a day of sightseeing. The location is lovely and quiet with a great vineyard literally 5 mins walk. As well highlighted in the accommodation description this is a rural location, don’t let that put you off though it’s a fantastic place just be mindful you’ll need to jump in the car to get to any shops or restaurants. Ed and Rita are excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble and they are very knowledgeable of the area and can provide some great recommendations. We’d highly recommend The Barn and would definitely stay again.

Super holiday

We had a fantastic time at La Grange. Rita & Ed were perfect hosts and very accommodating - Quinn was also a welcome addition. They had loads of tips for activities and recommendations for wine tasting locally. The house was perfect and accommodated 5 adults without any issue, very comfy beds and with views over the surrounding land. The pool was ideal - a perfect suntrap with more than enough shade to escape the worst of the day’s heat, and the water was just the right temperature. We couldn’t recommend this highly enough. Quiet country gite

This rural Gite offers all you can ask for from a peaceful French country retreat. The hosts, Rita and Ed cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and at home and have provided everything you can think of or would need. The facilities provide lots of space for families to enjoy. The pool is excellent and provides a refreshing cool down for kids and adults a like, and even has an inflatable flamingo! The local knowledge and advice from Rita and Ed added that bit extra to our stay. Nothing seemed too much hassle. We throughly enjoyed our week and wished we had booked for longer.

Excellent 2 week stay

Absolutely delighted we chose The Barn. We booked with the help of previous reviews and so glad we did. Peace and quiet, beautiful location and lots of things to do in the locality. The Bioparc was a huge hit as was the Troglodyte Village, the Petit Train and boat trip in Saumur. My daughter and son-in-law loved the vintage bike ride at Bouvet Ladubay too. Ed and Rita were the perfect hosts with lots of info ( especially our wine tasting trip that Ed planned for us and escorted us to - Edouard was a fabulous font of knowledge and makes wonderful wine) but were in no way intrusive - they were loved by both our grandaughters but have to say, sorry , the star of the show was of course, Quinn, the super dog - everyone loved him. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

5 * GUESTS The rating on Susan & Family is incorrect as should be 5 Star in all areas Overall. Cleanliness, House Rules, Communications and I do not actually know how the Ratings were carried out as I did not actually enter the information but cannot see how to change it !!! Perfect Guests in all areas throughout their 2 week stay and would not hesitate in welcoming the family back again anytime. 2 beautiful little girls who we got to be very fond of and our dog Quinn especially loved the fuss they made of him. 5 Stars Guests

Très belle maison de ferme, en pleine campagne, très calme et très bien équipée pour toute la famille ! La piscine est réellement un plus. Les hôtes, Ed et Rita sont très sympathiques et soucieux du confort des occupants, toujours prêts à sortir des vélo ou la table de ping-pong ! Nous avons passons un excellent séjour d'une semaine, avec des enfants adolescents. Nous recommandons vivement !
