Simply Wonderful

Great location, beautiful views and gracious hosts. A must for anyone that wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet still be close enough to take in the sights. Accommodations were very clean and well appointed. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.

Great Stay

Perfect one bedroom apartment with all amenities close to Spruce Meadows and only 30 mins to downtown Calgary. My wife and I stayed for 5 weeks. The accommodations were great and the hosts are lovely people who were very friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. Very private great views off the two balconies.

Restful Retreat

Countryside Setting

Peggy and Gord are the sweetest Hosts that you will find. Great communicators and very accommodating. Our suite had beautiful views of sweeping prairie fields. The bed is comfortable! The whole suite was perfect for our stay. Highly recommend staying here

Wonderful stay!

Very comfortable accommodations with all required amenities including laundry and use of garage. Peggy and Gord were wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome in their beautiful Woodfield Carriage House. Peggy was quick to respond to emails. Access to South Calgary and Okotoks is very easy Would highly recommend this property for your stay in the area!

Beautiful spot

Gordon and Peggy are wonderful hosts. They were more than happy to help us in any little way they could. The place is beautiful!! We definitely would stay again!! It was nice to stay outside the city but it was just a short drive to the train that will take you all over the city! The loft was the perfect size for 2 people and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay!!

Pastoral and quiet

We had a lovely 3 days in the loft. It was very clean and well appointed. It feels like you’re way into the country, but it’s close to restaurants and groceries. The bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the break. I would highly recommend it. Peggy and Gordon were warm and hospitable!

Great stay !

The property was great the owners are super sweet and very welcoming. Check in was super easy! It’s so nice to be able to park a car inside the garage to. The apartment was lovely and has everything you need. If you like fresh air open both patio doors and it is an amazing breeze going through. 1.5 hour from Banff and 30 min to Calgary it’s an easy area to stay to check off a bunch of things you want to do ! We would definitely come back here!

Warm and Inviting experience with lots of positive surprises!

We found the communication with the host to be exemplary even before we arrived. The check in was warm and friendly as well as efficient and complete. Instructions to open, and operate all facets of the unit were extremely helpful and left nothing out. We were able to settle in immediately and then enjoy sitting on the back deck to unwind to the sound of song birds and nature. The unit was a very pleasant surprise as to how clean and fresh it feels as well as all amenities, including laundry, wifi, tv, with an excellent choice of available channels. The bedroom was spacious and has sliding doors to a second deck that provides a wide open view of the rural area. The hosts were fully accessible and even provided tips on directions or sightseeing ideas. Truly a phenomenal experience and the perfect location. Thank you!

Lovely Spot, Everything We Needed

This was an excellent place to stay. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking on site and the bed was a comfortable king. There was actually more room in the common living room/dining/kitchen area then conveyed by the images (I would suggest adding a few more interior pics to the description). It was nice to stay outside of Calgary but with easy access to all the attractions in the city and surrounding area (for a nice drive visit the Leighton Art Centre). Peggy and Gordon were great hosts, Thank you.

Beautiful, clean suite in the countryside

The hosts, Peggy and Gordon, are so friendly and helpful. The suite is nicely configured and immaculate. The views are beautiful over the tree tops and rolling hills. Hope I have the opportunity to stay there again soon!

Beautiful setting and very gracious hosts

Peggy and Gordon are such lovely hosts - they make you feel very welcome and respond quickly to all questions and requests. This is a beautiful home - very comfortably equipped with gorgeous views out the patio where we spent many hours enjoying the cool breeze. It is very clean and lovingly decorated. It has its own entrance - so although Peggy and Gordon are around - it feels more like you have the whole acreage to yourself - it's very peaceful and welcoming. Not that far out of Calgary - we would definitely come and stay here again when visiting Calgary! Thank you Peggy and Gordon for a lovely weekend!

Excellent accomodation with lovely views.

Nice country setting yet close to the city. Very comfy bed and nice ,well equipped kitchen. The views from the front and back balconies are lovely. The hosts , Peggy and Gordon, are very friendly and made sure that all our needs were taken care of. We will recommend this property to our friends and would love to visit again.

Loved it

Really nice to be out of the fray of Calgary yet close enough to enjoy it. Beautiful views, very clean. hope to return next year, To get a five star it needs a hot tub!

Beautiful , peaceful and serene cottage !

The Carriage House Cottage is located in a beautiful, serene area of the foothills! It overlooks the city of Calgary to the North , from the sitting area and balcony . The south view , from the large bedroom and another balcony , is a large fenced meadow. A " story book " view! Very comfortable king bed. The kitchen is well stocked and the entire place is spotless ! The hosts are very kind and friendly! It's only a few minutes from Calgary and also only a short distance from the Saskatoon Berry Farm! We highly recommend it and hope to stay there again !

DeWinton Country Home Rental

This property was extremely nice and we highly recommend it. It is in a quiet, country setting while still conveniently located to the highway and downtown area. The owners are very nice and accommodating.
