Welcome to 'The Gallery!' One visit and we know you will agree that The Gallery is a perfect getaway for a couple's or friends' retreat. 'A destination unto itself' as one of our guests best summarizes. Park your vehicle and take a short stroll to fabulous restaurants, shopping, art galleries, museums, dance clubs, pubs, cafes, day spas, historic tours, Screen Gem Film studio tours, live theater, and other local attractions -it's all within walking distance (some destinations even on the same block as The Gallery)! Or better yet, sit back, relax, and enjoy the Trolley or the Historic Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride Tour - it's just a half-block down Market Street.

The Gallery is located at 112 Market Street in the heart of Wilmington's beautiful and nostalgic riverfront Historic District half a block from the riverfront!

'The Gallery' is a fabulous, designer decorated, two-story 'Manhattan style loft' condo. Beautiful exposed brick walls can be found in the living room, bedroom, and bathroom; all refinished hardwood floors; new contemporary Scandinavian furniture/furnishings; an expansive collection of modern art displayed in every room; and wonderful color throughout! 'Lots of style and energy' as one of our guests describes.

The second floor bedroom is beautifully decorated and has a very comfortable, queen-size bed, full-size dresser w/mirror, Sony radio/alarm clock. The luxurious living room leather sofa has a queen-size pullout. Fine linens are provided for both the queen bed and queen-size sleeper. The Gallery is very well equipped with the vacation and business traveler in mind (FREE high speed WIFI with password). See our 'amenities' section below for a full description of all that The Gallery has to offer.

Spend the day at Wrightsville Beach (just 9 miles away) or Bald Head Island and return to 'The Gallery' to explore the southern charm of historic Wilmington in the evening. And remember, everything is within walking distance if it's a late night! We will be more than happy to make some restaurant, cafe, sight-seeing, etc. recommendations, just let us know - we definitely have some favorites that we would love to introduce you to!!!

So, come and enjoy what The Gallery and historic Wilmington have to offer, and 'live like a local!'

Perfect Getaway

We took our son on a trio for his birthday and booked The Gallery. The condo was even better in person then we expected. The kids loved it and everyone had an amazing time.

Great location, totally unique condo

The Gallery is located right in the historic district, convenient to restaurants and the river walk. We're VRBO veterans and this is by far, the most unique place we've ever stayed! The condo is located in a historic building dating back to the early 1900s. Despite the age of the building, the condo has every modern convenience. Check in was seamless and everything was provided for your comfort. We will definitely stay there again next time we're in Wilmington!

Get away in Wilmington

Location was fantastic, right in the heart to all downtown Wilmington has to offer. Was quiet inside, all amenities we needed, a great weekend, thank you!

Romantic Weekend Trip

I've had mixed luck on finding great Vrbo's but hit the jackpot with The Gallery. We've saved it as a favorite to revisit another time. The location is absolutely perfect if you want to stay in the Riverwalk district. It's basically on the corner of Front St and Market and close to everything you could need. With the noon checkout, we were able to have a leisurely morning before finding a spot for brunch (Dixie Grill is literally right out the door.) If you don't like a TV in the bedroom, this would be great for you. But, there is a little bit of ambient noise from the streets; you are right at the center of all the bars and clubs, but it wasn't bad at all. We were actually pretty surprised at how quiet it was overall. If you don't/can't do stairs - this is not the place for you. Likewise, it is not an ideal spot for children. We didn't use the kitchen, other than the fridge, but it seemed fully equipped if you were going to stay long enough to want to make some meals. Perfect for a couple, maybe even a trio of friends. We will be back!

Fun little place

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at the gallery. It's super cute and is located close to everything. I never used my car! Highly recommend for a small group (3 or less) who wants to be in the middle of it all!

The Gallery

Our stay was great! The bed was comfy and the apartment was very cute, a little bigger than I thought it would be. The location was amazing. The only thing is, if you are someone who likes it cool when you sleep, I would suggest bringing a fan since the cooling system can only go down to a certain temperature. The beach chairs were a huge plus and we appreciated that so much. Thank you! We would stay again.

Gem of an Apartment in Downtown Wilmington

The apartment was exactly as described, and very clean and comfortable. The artwork was amazing and the colors were very upbeat. Kitchen was outfitted with everything needed if cooking. Lots of books and DVDs which were great for downtime after a day of sightseeing. Very walkable to restaurants and pubs, and a short drive to the beaches. Would definitely recommend!

Great long term stay

I stayed at the Gallery for 5 weeks and it was perfect. Everything was clean and nice, the kitchen was just the right size. The location can’t be beat and the Peking garage is very convenient across the street. Liz was communicative and easy to contact. Would recommend!

The place is adorable and felt super safe. I was there all weekend by myself and the apartment as well as the surrounding neighborhood was perfect. It was walking distance to everything I wanted to do, including the amphitheater. Try the pizza place across the street!

Wonderful Location

The Gallery was within walking distance to the waterfront and many great downtown locations! The bed was comfortable. The unit was large enough for the 2 of us. Any more than that, it would have felt cramped. The unit was very clean and although in an old, historic building, it didn't have that weird smell that sometimes comes with that which was GREAT! Communication from booking to check-in was outstanding. We didn't need to contact the host during our stay because the instructions were very detailed which was appreciated. The host was very accommodating and always replied when we reached out before we arrived. There isn't much of a view, but that's okay. Location, location, location is why we picked The Gallery, as well as the positive reviews, and we were very happy with our stay.

Hidden gem in Wilmington

We loved our stay here and both agreed it was a great find! Loved the art work and decor. The only advice we could give would be to replace the sofa bed or the mattress. It dips in the center and unless you are a sound sleeper who doesn’t move, you will not be comfortable. However, the bed upstairs is so comfortable and the room is very cozy. This would be the perfect place for a couple or those who may not need 2 beds. Overall, I would definitely return and highly recommend!

Perfect in every way. We are coming back.

You can't go wrong staying here. The home is smack dab in the middle of everything Willmington, but once inside, the outside dissapears and you are living in a beautiful art gallery! Soundproof from the outside and beautiful art everywhere. It really reflects Wilmingtons vibe. Very cool. The space was perfect. Large movie library, clean and convenient. It gave us everything we needed for a long weekend away. Restaurants, music, water and galleries surround you, yet inside you would think you are the only one around. We had the added bonus of hitting the beautiful NC beaches, which are a quick uber away. We felt so fortunate to be here. Liz, the owner, was super helpful and available to us. Checking in was easy. Couldent ask for more. We can't wait to come and visit again!

Great Historic Location

Fabulous Get-a-way in Downtown Wilmington

Our stay was perfect! Liz was great to deal with and the check-in/ check-out process was a breeze. The property was just as advertised. The location was fabulous and had everything we needed for a long weekend. We would definitely recommend The Gallery to others and will certainly book again in the future. It's right in the heart of downtown but because it's on the back of the building, it's nice and quiet. It's close to the water, restaurants, shops and markets - simply the perfect location.

We fell in love with historic, riverfront Wilmington and were spending so many weekends there that we decided to find a place of our own. The beauty and nostalgia of the area combined with the friendliness of the locals is what drew us and continues to draw us to Wilmington. Location was paramount in our search for our vacation spot in Wilmington. We wanted to be able to walk to everything and we finally found a condo that met that important criteria. It took some time to renovate, but was well worth it to be in the heart of historic Wilmington.
