Georgia On My Mind is a four bedroom home close to the beach and the sound. It is well equipped with everything you will need for an enjoyable beach vacation. Our kitchen is fully stocked with all kinds of gear including a coffeemaker, Kuerig, a toaster, and plenty of pots and pans. Each bedroom has its own closet or dresser so you can unpack and feel right at home. Outside we have a nice secluded patio set, hammock hooks, and gas and charcoal grill to cook out. There is even a play shed in the backyard with a chalkboard wall, toys, games and couches for the kids!
For outdoor activities, the house is equipped with a new golf cart ( $200 rental added to your booking fee), 4 bikes, 4 paddle boards, and two kayaks. It is a short walk to the ocean and just one block to the sound and marina where you can put our kayaks and paddle boards right into the water and enjoy a day of exploring the sound side. There are numerous shopping and dining options close by or within a short driving distance by car or golf cart! Our beach house is in a perfect area to enjoy all aspects of Carolina Beach. The ocean, the beach, the sound, the shopping, and the dining are all within reach when you stay at Georgia On My Mind!

It was fantastic! The only thing was not having TV's in all the rooms, but not everyone goes on vacation to watch TV. But if I had to make a suggestion, that would be it. Everything was perfect, in good working condition, well stocked, comfy and so welcoming!

The location was fabulous. Easy walk to the beach in a quiet area of the neighborhood. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. The outdoor spaces and showers were great to come back to from the beach. We enjoyed the boardwalk and amusements. Lots of shopping and restaurants just a short drive away. All of us had a relaxing and restful time in this beautiful beach community.

After Christmas getaway

Great property with everything you need! Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking, plenty of bath towels available (extra in laundry room), bed linens and extra blankets available. Great location and exactly what we needed.

Family Thanksgiving

The house was well equipped for a large family dinner. The younger cousins had a great time playing in the outside area under the home. All in all, the home worked well for entertaining. The only recommendation we would make is to get new mattresses. The beds were the topic of many conversations. Also it was very difficult to open the lock box. Thank you.

Lovely home in nice neighborhood

Our family of 8 (ranging from ages 14 months to 68 years old) enjoyed this beautiful home. Our fur baby did as well. It is close to the beach and with the use of the golf cart, a lot of shops and restaurants are easily accessible. Unfortunately with Tropical Storm Debby we had a lot of wind and rain during our stay. Therefore, we didn’t get to spend much time on the beach but I’m sure it is wonderful also.

Nice rental

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and well-stocked, and the host was very responsive with every question I had. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, and having quality linens provided was great (along with some TP and paper towels to get us started). Carolina Beach is a little busier than other beaches we've visited (this was our first trip there), and you do need a parking pass to park anywhere near the beach or boardwalk. The included golf cart DOES have a parking sticker, so that was helpful, but it only seats 4 adults, so keep that in mind. The separate bedroom was a little tricky for us because our daughter slept there and the power went out in the middle of our first night (there is a warning posted about this possibility, but it happened twice before we realized it was more of a certainty and likewise adjusted when we had the golf cart plugged in). She was especially panicked because I had locked the house out of habit and she couldn't get in. Because there is only one house key, I didn't feel comfortable leaving it with her, so instead we left the house unlocked at night in case she needed us. Perhaps the hosts might consider a keypad lock or an extra house key since this is a known issue with the power. The provided kayaks were great (we didn't have a chance to use the paddle boards). There was no beach umbrella and the only chairs were camp chairs, so you need to bring your own if you want those. Lots of toys and boogie boards, though!

Wonderful home minutes from the beach!

Very clean and organized home! We had everything we needed. Teens stayed entertained with kayaks, SUP boards, boogie boards, and bikes! The golf cary was great to get around in too! The kitchen was well equipped for cooking needs and the washer and dryer came in handy. Great stay! Thank you!

My family and I loved our time at this property! We loved how the outdoor area was private with the use of plants which was unique from the other properties in the area! The kids loved the outdoor area and play shed. The home was close to the beach and provided all the amenities you would need for your stay there. We would absolutely stay there again if we go back to Carolina beach. We miss it already!

Spring Break in Carolina Beach

Our stay in Carolina Beach was great. We had a few children with us which there were plenty of items at the house to keep them entertained. The Carolina Beach pier was a short walk or golf cart ride away which was great for both kids and adults. The location was was convenient to what we needed while also being pretty quiet at night. This house had everything we needed and wanted, we very much enjoyed our stay!

Pure Bliss

This truly a beautiful, thoughtfully appointed, family and four-legged friend, friendly cottage. The ocean and sound are easily accessed on foot, by bike, golf cart or a short drive (a few blocks). I only wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the cottage amenities (firepit, eating outside, hanging out on the screened in porch) and explore the local area, though we did make it to the NC Aquarium, Fort Fisher AWD beach access, and took the ferry to Southport for a day. Hoping to come back soon for a longer stay. Thank you so much, Bob and Mimi!

We had a great week staying in this home away from home! The house was cozy and well-maintained, with comfortable furnishings that made it feel like a home away from home. The proximity to the beach is convenient. The house's amenities were functional and met our families basic needs and more! The overall experience very enjoyable, and we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere of the location! Bonus points for the golf cart! It made getting to the beach and boardwalk super easy!

Amazing rental for our family

We enjoyed our stay at Georgia on my mind. It truly has everything you need to spend a week at the beach relaxing. The kitchen is very well-appointed, with lots of cookware and appliances available for use. It’s just a quick walk or golf cart ride to the beach. This house is far enough down canal st away from the boardwalk that the beaches nearby are not as busy. Thank you for having us!

Great vacation home

We had a great week here. We loved the fenced in property for our granddaughter and grandpup, and the house had everything we needed (we like cooking at home often when on vacation). The home was nicely decorated and I especially enjoyed the little room off the dining room for relaxing. And the golf cart was great for getting our group to and from the nearby beach. We highly recommend this home!

Relaxation!

This is a great property with great amenities. The house was clean. Everything we needed for a relaxing family vacay was provided, from housewares to toys for both adults and children. My family took full advantage of the paddleboards, bikes and golf cart. There are even chairs, large beach totes and beach wagon to use. The lot is on a quiet street, close to beach access and canal access. The yard provides privacy and plenty of seating. The bed in the primary bdrm is too soft but that is personal preference only. We were not able to access the playroom but we only had 1 child in our group so it wasn't a negative issue for us. Housekeeping was still on premises at 4pm (check-in) but the owner answered the inquiring call on the 1st ring. For the price...this house & amenities are hard to beat!

We were in town for a wedding.

Property was very nice we enjoyed the golf cart and the quiet location. the lock box with the house keys was annoying. We would stay there again and recommend it to others.

Easter weekend

Overall the house and property were extremely nice with high quality amenities from the bedding/furniture to the kitchen utensils. The house is well maintained and clean. The childrens playhouse was well used by the children. Just a short walk to the beach, it is in a great location with some peace and quiet.

Great Stay

We spent the weekend for a wedding, The accommodations were perfect for our family! Clean, well organized and very kid friendly! I loved the play area, it provided many different toys, books and even adult toys like giant bowling pins and giant Jenga. The hidden gem was the sun room has a pull out bed and it gave everyone a space to watch different movies at the end of a busy day. We did not have an opportunity to utilize the bikes or kayaks but will definitely do the next visit. Also they have a golf cart you can rent which is definitely a great way to get around Carolina Beach.

We live in Raleigh and have enjoyed our trips to Wilmington and the beaches. We have always wanted a place to get away from the daily grind and just unwind. We believe we have found that place in Carolina Beach at Georgia on My Mind. We look forward to spending lots of time outdoors exploring the beaches and private islands we can access by our kayaks. Walking the beaches, looking for shells, and riding our bikes into town for lunch and donuts is a great treat for us. We have made a great effort to furnish the home with all the comforts you would enjoy. We want you to be able to enjoy spending time inside the home playing games and relaxing as much as the times you spend at the beach just like we do. We look forward to providing you a wonderful experience and many memories at our beach home.

We looked at many beach properties online while searching for our home and found most were mainly designed to be solely for rental income. We wanted a place that we would enjoy coming to as a family and would be as comfortable as our every day home. As soon as we pulled into the driveway we knew this house was not your typical beach rental. The trees and bushes engulf the property, giving it a private secluded feel. We knew this would allow for plenty of shade and a reduced temperature while lounging outside under the home or in the yard. Under the home allows for plenty of outdoor living with chairs and table for dining and a grill to cook your daily catch.
The inside has been completely remodeled in the past few years. It is one of the cleanest and best decorated homes on the island. We saw so much potential in this property not only as a place for guests to stay, but for us to have as a comfortable place to enjoy. We did not want to be near all the traffic and loud activity all day and night so we realized this location gave us the peacefulness of being in a quiet end of the island neighborhood while being very close to the ocean and the sound.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

You have the opportunity to have guests stay in a separate room with an attached bathroom and private enclosed outside shower underneath the home. For those that want to be part of the vacation but want a little more separation, this is ideal. There is a portable heater and window AC unit. The kids will love the play shed and playground equipment. The concrete pad under the home allows for game play and scooters and tricycles while still being inside the fenced in yard. The driveway allows for plenty of parking in the drive and on the street. Bring your boat and park it here or at the marina two minutes away. There are two boat ramps on the island all within 10 minutes. If you don't want to walk to the beach or even the restaurant, you can use our golf cart for easy access and legal use on the roads.
This home is truly one of a kind in terms of location and amenities. We hope you will fall in love like we did!
