Casa Roja is a charming western-style bungalow designed with an open concept, featuring a spacious kitchen, living room, and one bedroom, equipped with A/C for your comfort.
This beachfront casita offers a large shaded patio overlooking the ocean, complete with your own private pool.
Escape to Casa Roja, where the combination of tranquil surroundings and luxurious amenities promises a memorable beachside experience.
Important Information for Your Visit to Playa Tesoro
1. What to Bring
We recommend packing mosquito repellent and sunscreen to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
2. Getting Here
To help you arrive smoothly, we’ll send you a map and updated driving directions. The roads are regularly improved, but at this time, we recommend a 2WD vehicle with high ground clearance.
3. Kitchen Essentials
Each property is equipped with enough dishes, cutlery, and glasses for the number of guests allowed. If you're planning to cook special meals, we offer additional kitchen appliances for rent at our on-site store, Tienda Tesoro.
4. Tienda Tesoro.
Our growing store offers some snacks, canned goods, grains, drinks, etc. We do not sell veggies or meats. Please prepare accordingly.
5. Security Deposit
A $100 refundable security deposit is required upon check-in. It will be returned at check-out, as long as there are no damages and the property is left in good condition.

After an extensive search, we discovered this hidden gem in Nicaragua and named it Playa Tesoro. Over the next 14 years, we developed one of the country's best private, fresh water systems and an efficient electrical setup, with full ownership of all the equipment. With over 30 years of experience as business partners in construction back in Canada, we’re proud to invite you to explore this stunning beachfront property in the warm, welcoming country of Nicaragua.

León, the university hub of the country, is home to 11 universities, numerous language schools, a vibrant music scene, and a thriving arts community. As the second oldest city in the Americas, after Panama City, León boasts incredible architecture. The people here are kind, peaceful, and full of hospitality. In short, León is a safe, intellectual, artistic, and friendly community that offers a unique and enriching experience. The surrounding León region is also filled with a wide range of fascinating places to explore on day trips.

This property is truly one-of-a-kind, even in Nicaragua, as it sits between the Pacific Ocean and a pristine 24-mile freshwater river at the back. Playa Tesoro offers the perfect swim beach, with soft sand, gentle waves, and warm water. The river is untouched by human activity—no litter, no bottles—just fish and birds in a tranquil, natural environment. The beach stretches for 7 miles, and we often ride dirt bikes from one end to the other at sunset, encountering only turtles along the way. Despite this serene setting, the second largest city in Nicaragua is just 45 minutes away.

León is a 500-year-old architectural treasure, known for its stunning collection of 400-year-old mud-and-straw homes, 14 churches, and 11 universities. The city is also home to a vibrant arts scene. Our beach and accommodations are considered the best in the León area.
