Not what it shows in the pictures

Arrived on Friday, July 31, 2026. Looking from the outside it looked like ok. All though the grass looked like it hadn’t been cut in a while. When we opened the door it smelled of musty old tennis shoes. The insides were not what the pictures on their web site showed. Need to update photos. The worst was the back door in the kitchen had a note on it saying, use only in case of emergency. I believe that is against fire code. Has electrical issues, as some of the outlets were not working. The floor by the kitchen door appeared to have some water damage as it was soft when stepped on. Would not recommend!!!

Perfect little beach bungalow

Location is EVERYTHING. This little spot couldn’t be closer to the beach. The kitchen was appropriately stocked and the little fireplace/heater did wonders keeping the living room toasty.

So close to the path to the beach!

We had a great stay, the location is a very short walk to the path to the beach. There is construction across the street, so the view is affected, but there was no noise. The house is quaint and a happy space in need of a few repairs but an overall fun place to relax after a day at the ocean or exploring the fantastic tide pools an hour or so north.

A Pleasant Ocean Getaway

My family had stayed at Little Orca's Place a few years ago. When we decided to take another weekend excursion to the ocean, we knew we wanted to stay at the property again. The property offers great access to the beach and an easy drive to Ocean Shores, Pacific Beach, and other nearby spots. Moclips made for a cozy and relatively quiet locale to stay along the coast. With its well-equipped kitchen, we had most everything we needed to prepare our meals. And we could relax in the living room if we needed to put our feet up after walking around town or the beach. After a couple of stays at Little Orca's Place, we recommend it to anyone looking to spend a stretch of time right off the ocean.

Best thing is beach access, everything else...

I had to call in order to get the code to the key box, despite having an email indicating that it would be provided before the check in time. The house was not clean, we didn't have enough napkins/paper towels to make it through a weekend. When we arrived the smoke detector was beeping for a new battery and when we pulled it down to replace the battery, it's expired. If all you care about is beach access, this is a good fit.

Needs updating

This property is exactly as represented but really needs updating. It was clean, well equipped, but the first impression was one of neglect. The yard was completely overgrown with weeds. Once inside it was quite pleasant, if a little worn. The beds are very comfortable. There is everything you need in the kitchen. Really nothing to complain about, but also nothing special.

Needs work

First, the general appearance of the property isn’t great as you can clearly tell it isn’t maintained well. On arrival we opened the property up and were immediately met with the horrible smell inside, a very musty moldy smell. The bedding all smelled the same “not good”we also found a literal human tooth just chilling on the nightstand “gross” after 2 days with the windows open and washing the bedding the smell was almost gone lol. The property has a nice beach just a short walk away but that’s the only nice thing about this place.

Not a nice place

This property needs work. It was not inviting at all. Sub floors are scary. Back door doesn't work and was blocked. Windows were filthy! Carpets in the bathroom weren't clean. I could go on. The location was great. Wr would not recommend this property.

Classic little beach cabin

Simple, cozy little two bedroom house on a dead end street, 5 minutes walk to the beach. It was quiet and we fell asleep to the sounds of the waves. We went to the beach at least 3 to 4 times a day, what a luxury. Easy touchless check-in and check out. No lengthy check out procedure, just neaten things up and take out the garbage. The house is furnished like a beach house with beach themed decor, adequate cookware for simple meals, a washer and dryer that works, ample towels, and shampoo conditioner etc all provided. One evening it was pretty cold and the cabin's heating system worked fast. We sat at the kitchen table doing a puzzle and listening to the wind outside. My sister and I loved our stay here. We were hoping for an unpretentious, classic beach cabin vacation with our two dogs. This was exactly what we found and we will be staying here again.

Great location but a few issues

Needs updating. Had trouble with the electrical on our last night. Part of house outlets and lights were dimming then getting bright. Turned them off. Went to turn on and they were completely off but only certain lights and outlets didn’t work. About a half hour later the ones that were out came back on all at once. Didn’t feel comfortable staying the last night because of the electrical. Roku said not connected to the internet whenever we tried using it. It did have all the necessities and was in a very good location. The owners responded to our texts.

Overall, our stay was a disappointment. The pictures need to be updated. Currently there are two enormous houses across the street that completely obscure any view of the water. There is no outdoor seating or area of any kind. You do not get any sense that you are at the ocean unless you leave the cabin to walk out. The overall cleanliness was rather poor. The entire place inside and out needs work. We found ourselves washing dishes before we used them, wiping down the tables and the countertops, etc. I have never left a negative review of a place that I have stayed before. This is the first. We understand that we were at a cabin and we were not looking for anything fancy. But we were hoping that we would find a place that felt clean and that gave us a sense of being at the ocean. We did not receive that.

It was very comfortable place to stay but needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard, clean windows, floors need better cleaning, better understanding of working the TV Yard needs weedeater and overall cleaning, but I was comfortable

Nice little house

Some of the other reviews make valid points but some are exaggerated. It's a small house and it's older and needs updates however this seems to be more noticeable b/c there are new properties on both sides. The rate is good considering the house across the street of same size is twice as much. I'm a budget traveler so this place was great and SO CLOSE to the beach. Perfect for a small family. If you prefer the Hilton this is not for you but if you're a humble family looking to get as close to the beach for as inexpensive as possible this place is perfect. We had a great time.

Family get away

The property was great, was able to enjoy some relaxing family time. The beach was just a short walk for the home. Will stay here again next time we have vacation time.

Great for a couple of days

Mostly positive about this property! It's certainly not a new property, but it was clean and had a fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed for a few days! The bed was reasonably comfortable and it was in such a quiet area, it was so peaceful. It was just a couple minutes walk to an almost deserted beach, which was such a relief compared to the busyness you would find in Ocean Shores. If you want peace and solitude, this is absolutely the place to be. Ocean Shores is just a 30 minute drive away if you want to go out to eat or needed to shop. Probably my only complaint was that the yard was in serious need of a mow and a trim - It just made the outside of the property look a little rundown. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful

We enjoyed it. It was steps to an essentially empty beach. A half hour to the Quinault rain forest. Had everything we needed - and quite a bit more!

The outside looks humble, but the inside is as cozy and charming as pictured. We had a great time. There are signs of wear and tear as it is an older and unremodeled property, but it's warm and comfortable and charmingly decorated. The kitchen is well stocked for making meals. I never met our hosts, but they were in contact via text and phone and I felt well taken care of. No view of the ocean from the house, but at the end of the street there is access to the dunes. I would book again if in the area.
