Easy, Low Key Stay!

The townhouse was just fine for what we needed for a long weekend getaway. It was walking distance from coffee shots and decent bar/restaurant. The neighborhood was cute. The nearby historic area was a great vibe. The instructions for the stay were longer than most I've experienced on VRBO. :) There was only 1 roll of toilet paper and no extras/additional rolls that we could find so we had to purchase some. Overall, a good stay!

Location over comfort

Location is as advertised. Walking distance to all of uptown. The unit is well past its prime. Stairs are rotten and falling apart. Kitchen is lacking. We had only one drinking glass. Property manager did deliver to us but took a couple days. Overall if you just need a place to crash, this is great. If you are going to spend any time in the unit, keep looking.

These Guests are best suited at a hotel. There was glasses, maybe 15 glasses, but they wanted a certain size & we bought a new set just for them ASAP. The home has 130 PLUS 5 star reviews. Not easy to make these high maintenance guests happy. Kitchen is exactly as in the pictures. Even have the floor plan with measurements in the listing & pictures from 2024. A great value property, that is half the price as some similar units, but in the middle of Downtown. The outside of the Townhome complex is in good shape, and is controlled by the HOA, After the winter they have not pressure washed yet, The stairs are pressure treated, and less than a year old. Great unit. You will love it. In Downtown.

A hidden gem in the Queen City!

We didn’t know what to expect when we booked our stay, but we knew we were lucky to find a place in the Fourth Ward. This cozy little condo was perfect for our weekend at the Lovin’ Life music festival!The location was ideal - close to the interstate, close to the festival, and within walking distance to so much! We had parking right outside the front door and the neighborhood was quiet. We brought our Nespresso, but the condo is well equipped. We were able to cook breakfast with ease - everything was easy to find/access. We appreciated that we did not need to bring our own linens, too.Yes, the home is showing its age with some wear and tear, but you can tell it’s well loved. We were comfortable and slept well!Downtown Dan is a gracious host and checked in with us during our stay. He was easy to reach via the app and phone. If we ever need to find a place to stay while in Charlotte, we know who to contact!

Unhappy with cancellation policy

In all honesty, we did not stay here. I assume the place is clean and otherwise nice, however the concert we were going to attend was postponed to next year more than two months before the scheduled weekend and I immediately tried to cancel, however after communication with VRBO and owner on multiple occasions, we could not cancel and even receive partial refund. The owner was requesting additional deposit for dogs even though we had already paid the pet fee on VRBO. We decided to cut our losses and not travel there. Owner eventually did not return our messages requesting some re-booking or refund.

No Air Conditioning, Inconsistent Communication, Great Location

The Air Conditioning is not functional and should be removed as an amenity (the temperature stayed between 80-84 degrees for the duration of our stay). My friend and I were not able to sleep comfortably. I contacted the property manager about this and got no response on VRBO. The property manager pushed for communication via phone/email. While I understand there are emergency situations, I only feel comfortable using VRBO messaging. As a renter, it is important to me that messaging is all on one platform in case there is a conflict/issue (like this one). Other info shouldn’t be necessary. Additionally, the day before check out we were given a to do list beyond what I’m normally asked to do in a short term rental (wash and dry sheets, wash towels, take out trash, etc). I feel that requests like this should be posted up front, because they are not typical for short term rentals. It is not what we paid for. Also, the heat made these chores unbearable. While the stay in the VRBO was unsatisfactory, the location is quite good. We could walk to anywhere in Uptown Charlotte. Which was nice, because spending extra time in our 80+ degree VRBO wasn’t an option.

We unfortunately did not have a good experience with this property. We arrived excited for our stay but left within 20 minutes and booked a hotel instead.While we understand this is an older home, the condition of the property was not accurately reflected in the listing photos. There was a strong musty odor throughout the home, along with a persistent smell of wet animals that made the space feel dirty and unclean. We have absolutely no issue with pet-friendly properties but a pet-friendly home should still be clean and odor-free. The carpet appeared heavily worn, the bedding was stained and bleached, and there were numerous signs of deferred maintenance, including bubbling walls and areas that appeared to have experienced water intrusion. Individually, these may seem minor, but together they created an experience that was very different from what we expected based on the listing.We contacted the host immediately upon arrival in hopes of finding a reasonable resolution. Unfortunately, rather than trying to understand or address our concerns, the host dismissed them, suggested we were simply “high maintenance,” and encouraged us to cancel the reservation ourselves. We ultimately had to pay out of pocket for a hotel because we were not comfortable remaining in the property.We encourage future guests to carefully review the listing and determine whether the property’s condition is something they would be comfortable with.

Convenient location

Easy to walk or drive to restaurants, shopping and activities in 4th ward. Christmas Sip and Stroll was festive activity and beautiful.

Great location but AC was broke

Great location and the bed was very comfortable but the ac did go out. Owner was very responsive and did come by. We totally get things happen but no discount was given even though he was well aware of issue. Not fun to sleep without AC at night.

nice spot in a nice area of town

It was a nice stay. Its very close to downtown and clean. I would stay there again if I needed another room for a duration of days in this area.

Great location!

It was the perfect townhouse for our weekend getaway to Charlotte. We had crappy weather but the location made it easy to get to everything we wanted to do. My golden retriever was very comfortable in the apartment and there was ample grass for him to use nearby. The heat in the unit was not working but he had set up a few space heaters that made the unit comfortable. The one issue we had was with parking. The host told us it was a holiday weekend so we did not need a pass to park on the street but we walked outside in the morning and both of our cars were getting ticketed. The host handled the situation and payed for the one ticket we did get but it would have been nice to have avoided that situation completely if he had looked into if parking services was working that weekend or not. Overall a great place and we had so much fun!! (So did my dog!)

awesome location

Very cute a bit bright in the morning the location is SUPERB price was good wish a note book with contact info had been at property had questions for host and he didn't see my emails thru vrbo also was really counting on that beer at our 3am arrival no beer bummer.

This property is basically one of the closest properties that is in downtown. I recommend a vehicle but if you came to Charlotte for a convention or event you maybe don't need a rental car. WALK TO EVERYTHING IN DOWNTOWN! Restaurants, music, theater, sports, convention centers, all bars and breweries are all close. so are the 6 downtown parks.

Great TV This is in Fourth Ward Neighborhood, walk to all restaurants, shopping, concerts, festivals, Panthers Stadium, theaters, and nightlife.
