Located just steps away from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, our cottage boasts a cozy rustic design inside ,as well as spacious outdoor areas for relaxing or entertaining. The fully equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing meals for family and friends. If you prefer dining out we are walking distance from 6 casual restaurants and bars. The 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath accommodations can sleep 8 comfortably. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this beach cottage is the perfect location to enjoy the beauty of fall by the sea.

Great house for family vacation

Perfect fit for family of 8. The screened in porch is great for relaxing before or after a day at the beach. The host was very accommodating to our booking needs and easy to communicate with.

Family vaca in Surfside

We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean. Everything you would need was provided. The location is great. It had a homey feel to it! I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Great rental!

This was a perfect location for a family and friends trip. The house had everything we needed. It was super comfy, the porch was amazing, but the location to the beach and pier and restaurants was just perfect! We hope to return again (and wished we stayed 2 Weeks)! The pictures don’t do the house justice. While the main room is dark and paneled, the lights light it up really well and it’s a great space for everyone to play games/eat/hang out.

This place is a Gem!

Short walk to our beach and a great location in Surfside. We had 5 people stay but could easily fit more. The screened in porch was great for watching the summer storms.

A month was too short!

We truly enjoyed our stay in Surfside Beach. The location was perfect for visiting with friends and family in the area. A lot of great golf courses and restaurants….some within walking distance. The beach is just 2 blocks away and very pet friendly in April. Julia is a wonderful host and very responsive. We would love to stay again!

Nice set up in great location

We appreciated that this house had a few extras that made our stay really nice- a few extra beach chairs and gear, outdoor showers, a few leftover kitchen items from previous stays, laundry soap, hand soaps, a book stash in one room that I did not notice until the last day, even some extra sunscreen. Nicely decorated, lots of antiques. Our bed was very comfortable, not too hard. Because the beds are all queens, it was not ideal for teens, but it worked. The screened porch on the beach side and the deck on the other were nice for our group of people getting up at various times. The beach was less than 10 minutes to walk- very crowded when we were there in July but lots of space still (during the lower tide) for Frisbee. We picked up pizza from Valentino's one night which was the best and just a few minutes drive. Another place called Hyena Pizza had fun acoustic guitar live music even on the weeknights but not sure they have a reliable schedule- a large variety of smaller sized pizzas and beer. We missed the live entertainment at Scotty's Beach Bar. mostly Karaoke (but saw it was posted on their sign. Bubba's fish Shack is another place that was very close, those all walkable from the house- the tuna dip and the sweet Thai chili shrimp (not spicy) were great and most of the sides too. The grilled fish was a little more spicy than I like. They are serious about giving away your table if you are not there, but we were able to walk down, get on a list and come back (and get back on the list and seated soon when their estimation was off.) There's a Farmer's market every Tuesday we happened to find- lots of vendors, worth a visit. And, we saw the last day there is a library nearby too- they are about to have a book sale.. Old Fashion Ice Cream is open late and very busy but delicious, a little over a mile away. And, if you go to Kroger (Murell's Inlet, not far), Angela's Fresh Market around the corner had very fresh shrimp that was great and we tried the clam dip, also very good and we bought quarts of ice cream at painter's ice cream on the way back. So, great location! Just enough around without the craziness of other beaches.

Great beach house.

Enjoyed our stay at this super cute beach house. The large family room is great for hanging out playing games or watching TV. Loved relaxing on the screened porch. Would stay here again.

What a wonderful experience!

My family and I loved staying at this location! It’s the perfect distance from the beach and the neighborhood is very friendly and quiet. There were plenty of restaurants nearby too. The only negative thing I could say about this place is that the WiFi would occasionally not work, but that would come and go. There were also a good amount of “water bugs” visualized around the property once the sun went down. Otherwise we loved staying here and hope to again! The owners were so accommodating and responded quickly and were so kind! Definitely recommend staying here!

My sisters and I all live and work in South Carolina. We have children and grandchildren of our own and we all enjoy the beach cottage when we are able to take off time from work.
We have very devoted return renters each year but still have a few weeks available throughout the fall, winter and spring. We are offering some of these weeks through VRBO again this year.Thank you for taking a look at our cottage.

This beach cottage was a dream of our parents for many years.
Our father crafted every detail with love and sentimental details. Note the initials by each bedroom door.
Our mother carefully chose furnishings that reminded her of growing up in rural Darlington County South Carolina.
We are 3 devoted daughters with families of our own now and are striving to keep their dream alive.
We have refreshed some things and added our own personalities while trying to preserve many of the original details.
Come and spend a week or more at Jim N Pink's Place. They would be so honored to have you here.

Our location is by far one of our greatest assets. If you just want to hang out on the beach and relax in the sun, SHOP,GOLF,FISH, WATERPARK, LIBRARY, BROOKGREEN GARDENS AND OF COURSE, LET'S NOT FORGET ALL OF THE WONDERFUL EATING ESTABLISHMENTS JUST MINUTES AWAY, we have the perfect place for you and your family. While we are minutes away from all of the activity we are located in a very quiet area of Surfside. We are the best of both beach worlds. Won't you join us for your next beach stay?
