Superbly positioned on Porthpean Golf Course and overlooking some of the most beautiful coastal scenery of Cornwall’s Riviera coastline, Links Retreat is a perfect destination for golfing enthusiasts or those seeking to enjoy the delights of this idyllic location. Within walking distance of the Porthpean beach and Sailing Club and the historic harbor of Charlestown with its Shipwreck and Heritage Center there is something to suit all ages and interests. For those seeking marvelous walks, beautiful coves and breathtaking panoramic views, the Cornish Coast path can be found only 250yds from the cottages. A challenging golf course for all abilities and enjoying both parkland and links aspects, is only steps away from the cottages. The cottages are tastefully decorated with pine furnishings and leather sofas. The cottage is available to let all year round and has full oil fired central heating for the odd chilly day/night.


Situated on the ground floor at the end of the terrace Links Retreat is a spacious ground floor property offering delightfully appointed accommodation throughout.All the accommodation is on the ground floor thereby being suitable for people who struggle with stairs. A large and extremely well equipped kitchen opens into a comfortable and spacious open plan living/dining room with patio doors that lead out to terrace with views over the golf course and coast beyond. Two versatile bedrooms offer 6’ zip and link beds which can be made up as a doubles or twins, there is a spacious bathroom and a separate shower room. The property has a large open plan living room, dinning room kitchen with patio doors leading onto the terrace which has an outdoor bench table , a perfect spot to enjoy an evening aperitif after a round of golf or day on the beach.

This was a perfect location for walking the South West Coast Path. The bed linen needs updating and the property was very dated. There was no cold water in the main bathroom for the bath. The views are stunning.

Die Lage ist toll und von außen sieht das Haus gut aus. Leider war unsere Wohnung schon sehr abgewohnt und nicht sauber, dadurch haben wir uns nicht so wohl gefühlt. Schade…., wenn man sich hier ein wenig mehr bemühen würde, wäre das eine super Ferienwohnung.

Great Location, cottage is good plenty of kitchen equipment, rooms are a good size, overall clean and tidy, but some areas could do with extra cleaning, cobwebs under dressing table in bedroom, hair behind door in small shower room. Other wise would recommend this cottage.

Relaxing holiday with family

Great views of the sea from the property itself. Very close to amenities and supermarkets such as Tesco which was very helpful. The cottage was also immaculately clean and all the information was provided before hand which made our stay very smooth. We are very happy to recommend the cottage.

Highly recommend - fantastic accommodation

Amazing accommodation, with fantastic scenery and sea view. It was an excellent place to recharge our batteries. We are very satisfied, everything was perfect, we would change nothing, the concept of the cottages is fabulous. We definitely will back!

Amazing views

Absolutely amazing views, outside of property lovely, easy access and parking good. Disappointed to have no welcome pack as advised we would, so had to go out before the planned shop. Property is big and spacious but a little tired inside. Overall we had a lovely time.

There are 6 at this location each unit is slightly different. The units can be rent singularly or together thereby allowing families to be on holiday together but having some privacy within each unit.

We manage cottage no 4 , 5 & 6. They sit next door to each other in a small terrace of six properties overlooking the sea on Porthpean Golf course but all share the same great view of St Austell Bay. This unit is LINKS RETREAT and is a ground floor apartment. We take bookings separately for each cottage or they can be booked together thereby accommodation a larger group between the three properties. Great for whole families Mum, Dad, grandparents & kids who want to be together but have some privacy
