Large sandy private beach owned by our association. Free use of our boats and Kayaks. Very romantic. Queen sized bed. All linen and towels included. Trout fishing. Level lawned area with lots of flowers. Flat screened cable TV, air conditioning and heat, and galley kitchen. Furnished deck, table with umbrella. Propane Barbeque. Attached private deck.

Lots of nice touches, like coffee, cream and bottled water in the kitchen. It’s a beautiful spot, and we loved kayaking every day.

This little cottage is amazing. Beautiful view of the lake and very peaceful. Fran definitely has a little peace of Heaven that you can rent for a reasonable rate. If we go back up that way, I will definitely see if it is available to rent again.

Little oasis getaway

My husband and I had a very lovely time. Our hostess friend was lovely and very accommodating. The place was quite darling and it was quiet and peaceful and restful place to contemplate or enjoy the water activities. We were not disappointed at our time there . my husband spent sunrises and sunsets enjoying the view.

Excellent getaway

The cottage studio was clean, quiet, comfortable, and well appointed. The kitchen had everything I needed. Good AC, wifi, and plenty of hot water. Beautiful setting on the lake with kayaks and rowboats available for guests. Fran is the perfect host -- friendly and helpful. I would happily return.

We found the studio cottage to be lovely and peaceful. It had everything we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My hope was to finally see a loon and I got my wish. I saw 2! Fran is a wonderful host and was most helpful. The lake view is serene and just what we needed for a peaceful getaway. The only negative is that you can’t regulate the right temp for a shower

A dream come true

It was my wife's dream - to live in a small house on a lake beach. It came true here at Newman's on her Jubilee. Everything was amazing. Next time we hope to meet both Newmans personally in good health and listen to his bagpipe music.

Peaceful beauty

Fran is an excellent and gracious host. The cottage is the cleanest and neatest place I've ever rented. The setting is quiet and idyllic. No motor craft allowed so the lovely serenade of wildlife closed the day and welcomed the morning. If you truly want a place to catch your breath and be restored, this is it! Thank you Fran!

Perfect spot for a couples retreat. Set back quietly on a little lake, boats and canoes to use at our leisure. Very sentence and peaceful. There was a grill, electric skillet, and hot plate to use which was enough for us to cook breakfast and dinner. The place was very clean and Fran was a great host. Very accommodating and helpful if we had any questions or needed recommendations. We will definitely stay again and are hoping to inquire about her other properties so the whole family can join.

Complete relaxation

This was a true relax and unwind for us. The host and hostess, John and Fran are exceptionally wonderful people. We kayaked, took out a canoe several times and swam in the pond. No motors or jet skis are on this pond, so this allowed us to hear and see the beautiful scenery. The bagpipe serenade at sunset was the perfect way to end the day. We will return!

Relaxing and quaint cottage in idyllic setting

Fran and John were absolutely wonderful hosts! They made us feel like family right from the start and gave us great tips for local activities for the holiday. The cottage is in a perfect location- beach is super clean, water calm and wonderful and the use of the kayaks and boats was amazing. John is a most talented musician and we LOVED hearing the bagpipes in the evening. He is a wonderful storyteller and had us laughing almost every day with his stories. They included us in a family lunch and we got to see why everyone loves the Newman’s in this little town! We could not have asked for a more perfect, relaxing vacation and hope to visit again.

Stress free zone

The neighbors weren’t too kind in helping my husband find the location. They wrote his license plate #, and really did not help him find - I went out to the road and flagged him . But the property and EVERYTHING was as expected and beautiful. I went in the lake and the fish surround you and welcome you for a swim! The owner is very nice. We ate there every night

Quiet and peaceful.

The Studio Cottage is very nice and has all the amenities you could want. Beautiful vase of fresh cut flowers on the table and water in the fridge to greet us. Fran and John are very nice and friendly hosts. We were treated to bagpipe playing at dusk and one night their daughter played a penny whistle. Beautiful. We treated ourselves to a kayak tour of the pond while there and just enjoyed the quiet surroundings. While there, read Bob's book. It's a great read about an Irish family's struggles. Awesome hideaway on a beautiful pond 😃

From the time we reserved to checkout, we truly enjoyed our experience staying with Fran and John. Photos and description accurate, all was as expected or better. Our communication emails leading up to arrival was prompt, clear, and helpful. Fran & John personally welcomed us to their property, sat with us, let us know where everything was on the property, and provided us with ample recommendations of nearby sites and restaurants. The location just up from the pond was perfect. We had our own gas grill and outside seating area which was both private & comfortable. The pond is beautiful and the boats are a wonderful bonus. Each evening at dusk there is live music, on our stay we enjoyed bagpipes both nights and we're pleasantly surprised by accordion on one evening. I am hesitant to rave about our experience as we would love to keep this wonderful out of the way spot our secret, but if you've read this far, I'll let you know if you stay at this property you will be more than pleased. Thanks for everything, Fran & John- and we hope to see you again soon.

NH visit to see family & attend Nephew’s wedding

This sweet & cozy place is nestled in a very beautiful natural setting which we greatly enjoyed. My husband & I arrived in the dark of night after 2 long days of traveling from the Midwest. Fran graciously accommodated our late arrival time & made everything easy for us to self checkin. When I walked out of the cottage in the morning to get something from our car, my jaw dropped from the sight of the lovely lake which was just steps away! We relaxed by the lake on several occasions during our very busy visit with my brothers & their families on the occasion of my nephew’s wedding. It was a cool & breezy October weekend, so no swimming for us! But the Autumn foliage was fantastic, and we would love to come back & stay again in the Autumn or visit during the summer months! The location of the cottage is close to my brother’s home, and we really enjoyed having peace, quiet, privacy & the gorgeous setting. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Fran is a wonderful host! Thanks again Fran!
