Pool and proximity to Gibbes beach (and Sea Shed - one of our favourite restaurants) were all very positive. Villa is incredibly spacious, high ceilings, large en-suites and dressing areas in each of the 3 bedrooms. Host was very responsive to a few minor issues we had. Garden and pool area is very green, great for privacy but you definitely need bug spray/citronella (both widely available in local supermarkets). Welcome package (food and hygiene essentials) was very good too.

Our 2nd Stay at Lovely Property

This is our favorite place to stay in Barbados. The property is large, comfortable and well maintained and it's a short walk to one of the best beaches on the island. Perfect for a group or family vacation

Great location-great Villa

The Villa was everything as advertised and expected. It is in a great location opposite Gibbes Beach and close to Holetown and Speightstown and the best restaurants. The pool complex is fabulous and my family and I (5 adults) thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

2 weeks in paradise

A fantastic villa with a great pool area. The location is good with just a short walk to the beach. The villa is large clean and all 3 bedrooms have large bathrooms with private terraces leading to well maintain gardens. The staff that are on hand are great and look after the place wonderfully. My only reservation would be that it is the o my villa without a BBQ so you often sit their in the evening smelling other peoples evening meals being prepped wishing it was yours

Fantastic Property!!

We had a truly brilliant stay. The property is stunning, extremely spacious, beautifully furnished and had everything you could possibly ask for (and spotlessly clean!). The pool area is stunning, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. The people helping out on site were all extremely helpful and polite, and Pippa (the owner) was super friendly and accommodating - shout out for the most generous welcome package we've ever seen!! Thanks Pippa - we'll be back!

Great Family Vacation

This is a large comfortable condo in a beautiful setting. We were five adults and there was ample space for both privacy and socializing. The setting is magical and the proximity to Gibbes Beach was a big plus for us. It's close to both Holetown and Speightstown by car or bus and there are a few restaurants within walking distance. The price was very reasonable for the area which tends to be on the expensive side. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay

Our group of six stayed here for a week and found nothing lacking. The photos of the villa are accurate. There is ample room and the pool area is large, clean, and well-kept. The 10 villas have plenty of individual privacy as the gardens are quite lush. We never felt crowded. The on-site staff are friendly and were very helpful. The beach is a 5-minute walk and there are several good restaurants within a 15-minute walk (make reservations for dinner as they do fill up), Holetown and Speighstown are both short drives away and offer more as well. The host, Philippa, was very responsive and provided tips that proved valuable. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Outstanding Accommodation!!!

This was our seventh time visiting Barbados, we therefore understand the importance of location an approx 5 minute walk along a path takes you to arguably the best beach on the island. Nearby facilities such as the Sea Shed and Larry Rogers are within walking distance, alongside the Barbadian Adrianā€™s corner. The villa itself is exceptional, wonderfully spacious and beautifully furnished. However the outside area is the is the most impressive aspect, secluded areas for privacy and communal area to enjoy the vast pool this property is great value. Serene and picturesque. This has been our favourite property to stay in with an incredible welcome pack allowing you to immediately enjoy this fantastic holiday. Enjoy!!

Delightful Home

We enjoyed our stay at #7 Claridges over the Christmas holidays. The property is about a 6 minute walk from a beautiful beach (Gibbs). The house has a lovely back terrace which has enough privacy to be cozy and leads to a pool that is shared with the other 6 or so villas. The inside of the property is beautifully decorated. We had a few little problems and the hosts were on it VERY quickly, even over the Christmas holidays. Only the bedrooms have air conditioning but it wasn't too big of a problem as there are ceiling fans in the rest of the house. The hot water is solar powered (yay) and there is a booster which we had to use as we had a few days of heavy rain. It worked well. We were quite happy with our trip and accommodations.

What a fabulous 5 star experience at No.1 Claridges in Gibbes Bay Barbados

First Class service from start to finish from Pip and the team. The villa was fantastic with a beautiful pool and perfectly located with a 2 minute walk to one of the best beaches on the island (Gibbes Bay). Booking process was very straightforward and the arrival/check-in worked like clockwork and the provision of some basic groceries was very much appreciated after an 8 hour flight (Thank you Pip and Lorraine). The villa had everything we needed and was very clean with everything in good working order and well maintained. Also, any questions we had were always replied to promptly by Pip. In summary, as this was our first visit to Barbados, we had a very special time and will be returning and without any doubt we will be staying at this wonderful villa and can recommend this to any couple / family looking for 1st class accommodation and a great / stunning location on the beautiful coastline of Barbados. Fantastic holiday villa

Claridges 7 was a fantastic base for our two week holiday in Barbados. The villa is amazing, large and airy, with everything you could want for a luxurious holiday in the Caribbean.The villa is very spacious and frankly pretty impressive. It has everything you need for a great holiday. The bedrooms were large, all with ensuites, air con and fans and balconies. Downstairs you get more of the same. Large hall, WC, big kitchen/living/dinner, laundry room and another WC and shower room. Finally a fantastic outside space to socialise and relax.The communal pool area is lovely with great planting of trees and shrubs to give complete privacy to the villa while allowing full use of the pool and loungers.Via the pool area, Claridges 7, it is just a short walk to beautiful Gibbs beach. Gibbs is one of (if not the) best beaches on the island. Great for swimming or sun bathing any time of day and perfect for watching the sunset with a cold beer or rum punch. Everyday was a beach day!The villa is a stone throw from loads more bars and restaurants all along the west coast and into Speightstown. Make sure you visit one of the beach bars to watch the sunset. Access to the rest of Barbados from Claridges 7 is very easy due to its position between the coast road and the inland highway.We loved Claridges 7 and would love to come back one day.

Beautiful but CRIME ruined it

Villa was beautiful in every way. The second to last night someone broke through the wooden slats of window while my family was sleeping and stole valuables. We heard something but wrote off as someone next door. Owner said people can crawl over wall and petty crime happens near Christmas. We were sickened someone was in home while we slept! She said at least they didnā€™t disturb us. She had someone come board up window but was annoyed we called police and she had to pay carpenter to wait for police. After 3 hours and no police, we left. Housekeeper and groundsman both said there had been other breaks in but owner said if there had no one told her. No working security system and no cameras. Owner refunded last nightā€™s stay, which didnā€™t cover cost of hotel, loss of food, stress of finding other accommodations, and TRAUMA.

Well positioned, well equipped,nicely laid out

We stayed at Villa 1, wth 3 ensuite bedrooms, an open area for kitchen/living/TV room (which has a full TV system) which also worked well. Master bedroom was particularly ample with its own TV system. All beds have AC. Fans everywhere else. Patio at back opens up to a large common swimming pool wich is well kept. This property is close to the beautiful Gibbs beach (3 minutes walk) and others (Mullins) . ~close to drive to Holetown or Speightown and many good resataurants are close by. {SeaShed, FishPot, Baia, Fusion Rooftop, The Local, Lonestar..}. So well located, and has all the amenities you need. Its a gated community of 8 (?) villas/townhouses. Super practical with washer/dryer and so forth. Any technical issues were dealt with swiftly. We enjoyed our stay. It was lovely base and the Xmas tree was a nice touch.

Tropical Escape

Our last visit to Barbados was 13 years ago and we wondered why it had taken us so long to return! This is a wonderful, extremely spacious and comfortable house very close to stunning Gibbs beach. The beach is quiet with fantastic swimming. An easy, short walk to get there. The landscaping at the Claridges complex is beautiful and the gardens are so well kept. Lovely to have such a big shared pool and our own loungers just outside the house. Barbados is such an easy place to visit and relax. Recommend the nearby Seashed restaurant. Good to book this and other restaurants in advance of arrival as they can get busy. We hope to visit again one day. Thank you

A Triumph in Every Way

The short version is this - if you can stay at Claridge's, do it. When you arrive at the gates that lead to the courtyard, you will suspect youā€™ve found a special piece of paradise. When you enter the villa, the craftsmanship evident throughout will confirm that suspicion. When you pass through the living room to the outdoor lounge, along the garden path, and arrive at the pool area, you will know - with certainty - that you are in paradise. After a stroll to the beach, youā€™ll wonder why you hesitated! Claridges offers an exceptional experience. We had the privilege of a 7-week stay and that time allowed us to see the good and bad of the home and the location. Thereā€™s a lot of good; the villa offers all of the comforts of home. Minor issues were addressed immediately by the owners - and we only had minor things pop up. For example, an alarm sensor came loose and caused a beeping sound on the alarm panel. The owners had someone there within a couple of hours to fix it, and they did. The location is perfect, sandwiched between Holetown and Speightstown. The stroll to Gibbes beach is barely long enough to be called a stroll! To have arguably the best beach on the island within 3-4 mins away, and the best towns on the platinum coast a few mins drive in either direction, makes this place hard to beat on the location front. Itā€™s possible to stay here without a car, but having a car makes things easier. Parking is safe and secure. The development offers plenty of space for relaxation in the sun or the pool. The developerā€™s original vision of each home having that privacy is achieved in part by a great design, but also by the great work of the grounds team. Every day they ensure the foliage is just so, and not an impediment to the enjoyment of guests. The grounds and pool are maintained to a very high standard. As an island destination, Barbados is difficult to beat. As a place to stay anywhere, Claridges is very difficult to beat. You will not regret a stay at this villa.

Fantastic well equipped villa with an amazingly large pool

An amazing well equipped villa with good 3 good sized bedrooms and bathrooms, great living area downstairs with a very well equipped kitchen, all in a quiet peaceful location. The villa sits amongst 10 villas in total in a beautiful setting with a pool that is bigger enough to do lengths of 25m; most days we had the pool to ourselves. Overall an amazing Villa that provided us with a truly great holiday. Canā€™t recommend the villa highly enough!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this villa. On our second stay in as many years, the villa still offered us the comfortable, low-key luxury that pleased us so much the first time. The owners, Phillipa and Michael were, as ever, easy to work with and quick to respond. I have already recommended this villa to a friend. Looking forward to a return trip.

Such a beautiful spot

Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) loved this beautiful property! It was quiet, spacious, clean, and so comfortable. Such a lovely touch to have food and drinks in the fridge upon our arrival. Lorraine, who met us at the condo, was so helpful and even drove us to the grocery store as we had a mix-up with our car rental. We made excellent use of the beautiful pool and played cards in the gazebo most nights! A car is necessary and it is a short drive to Holetown and Speightstown, as well as some great restaurants and beaches. Gibbs beach is just a short walk from the condo. Thank you Pippa and Michael for being so responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful holiday.

My husband and I are originally English, but have lived in Barbados for 19 years and made it our home. We were both Hotel General Managers, many years ago but despite having a change in our career path, we retain our love of good service and attention to detail.
We designed, developed and built Claridges some 8 years ago and are able to offer the excellent rates as we aim only to cover our running expenses. We live only four minutes away from the resort, so are always on hand to deal with any issues, queries or rare problems.

This peaceful and tranquil resort is located within a few minutes walk from one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches on the west Coast and is walking distance to the main coast road and therefore easily accessible to the restaurants, bars, shopping and more beaches of the west coast.

The short walking distance to the beach (3 minutes) without the security risks associated with being beach front. Also means with young children, it close enough to pop back for lunch or shaded pool.
Our 3000ft pool also has a large flat shallow "beach" area ideal for young children to paddle and spend hours in the water.
