Lovely Croft cottage near the end of the road over an inlet. Perfectly appointed with plenty of dishes, bedding, blankets, seating areas, etc. They even have a full laundry with a dryer in the bedroom. Great sunroom that keeps warm. It was too early in the season for orcas, but walk to the end of the road to look anyway. Last night a cuckoo kept us company at dusk. A couple of miles from Neist Point and lighthouse, but we drove up and were rewarded with a double rainbow before we left!

Spacious house with great views

We had a great time and explored the whole Isle of Skye from here. The house is spacious, comfortably furnished and offers everything you need.

Family reunion

We loved our stay at Waterfall view. Thew views are spectacular! The house is warm and comfortable and the sun room is fabulous. We hope to return!

Fantastic location with great views

Views views views. Our hosts were very helpful. The house is in a fantastic location. We had great views of mountains, cliffs and waterfalls. The waterfalls were especially beautiful while it rained. The home had everything we needed for cooking and eating. The beds were very comfortable. It is a long one way road into the home but very worth the the trip!!!

Lovely cottage with dramatic coastal views

A wonderful base for adventures on Skye. The cottage is cosy, well equipped and spacious. The location is extraordinary, with stunning views in clear weather over the Loch and as far is the Islands of North and South Uist. The road from Dunvegan to Milovaig is largely single track but with plenty of passing places, so prepare to be patient with other road users (including woolly quadrupeds) for the last few miles. Local amenities include the excellent Lephin Cafe in Glendale as well as the Glendale General Store, which looks tiny but is a bit like the Tardis inside and seems to have almost everything. The Old School Restaurant and the Dunvegan (both in Dunvegan) are also very good. This was our first time on Skye. We would absolutely recommend this property for a family stay.

Outstanding Location & Views

We spent four unforgettable days in this charming cottage, and it was worth every penny due to its extraordinary location nestled in a picturesque rural area. Surrounded by grazing sheep and lush green landscapes, we were treated to breathtaking views of the sparkling ocean. Our days were filled with leisurely walks along the serene country roads, exploring quaint local villages, and savoring the stunning journey to the iconic Niest Lighthouse.The cottage itself was both comfortable and cozy, equipped with a convenient washer and dryer, as well as a spacious refrigerator that made our stay even more enjoyable. Anthony, the property manager, was impressively responsive and professional, ensuring we felt welcome and well-taken care of throughout our visit.It's important to note that you’ll need to plan ahead and bring your own supplies such as laundry detergent, paper towels, coffee, and other essentials. The hosts provide just a starter supply of toilet paper, hand soap, salt, and dishwashing soap upon check-in. Additionally, the nearest markets are quite a distance away and tend to close early, so organization is key to making the most of your stay.

Beautiful views but well away from tourist sites so Lots of driving to see

Mostly well equipped but some items poor e.g. Broken dish in cabinet; few smaller sizes of casserole dish. Some items were dirty and had to be washed before use. Furniture in conservatory was very uncomfortable and thus uninviting although a lovely room. For the cost of the accommodation we would expect much better comfort and a dishwasher in the kitchen. Bed in downstairs bedroom was so low it was unsuitable for elderly relative - this was a key reason for choosing the property so really disappointing for us. Lovely fresh linen and beds generally were comfortable enough. Would have been nice to have a room big enough for all of us to fit in evening to socialise ... but realise shape of house and updating has just not allowed this. Best to improve the conservatory by putting in a better set of bigger furniture to allow this I think.

We have taken note of your suggestions and have added some additional cushions to the conservatory furniture to improve the comfort (the furniture is a year old so are unable to replace it at this present time). Casserole dishes of various sizes have been added to the kitchen. When we replace the beds in the future we will remember your comments and replace with one of a higher height. An extraordinary stay in a unique and beautiful place

The house is located in a beautiful and remote location with amazing views of Skye’s western coast and cliffs. Yet, it is accessible, cozy, comfortable and fully outfitted. The sunroom is especially unique. Good access to scenic locations and hiking throughout the island. Impossible to describe the extraordinary and other worldly scenery.

Schönes Haus mit toller Aussicht

Wir waren als zwei Familien für eine Woche im Haus untergebracht. Die Lage ist ruhig, wir hatten einen tollen Blick auf das Meer und die Klippen. Es war sauber und gemütlich, der Wintergarten ist hell und warm. Die Ausstattung war sehr gut, eigentlich haben wir nur einen großen Topf zum Kochen für acht Personen vermisst.

What a venue and view!!

An incredible stay! Perfect for the 6 off us (my wife and I, children and grand children). The house was immaculate and had everything we needed for our stay. Neighbors were friendly and close to a variety of sites and crafts man. The culinary surprise was dining at the Three Chimneys - superb and deserving of its Michelin star. A long way into the country and that was the whole idea - loved it. Our hosts were very easy to work with.

It was the perfect getaway

The property was very clean and the sun room was really a great extra. We sat in there and looked at the wonderful view and were warm and comfortable It was just great.

Ruhe pur!

Entspannen in atemberaubender Kulisse! Es war alles für einen schönen Urlaub bereitet. Wir ziehen einen Stern für das langsame Internet und die klappernden Lüftungsklappen der Bäder ab. Als eingefleischte Schottland-fans können wir Skye wärmstens empfehlen. Peter und Wendy haben sich als professionelle und freundliche Vermieter gezeigt. Die Zäune um das Grundstück müssten nachgesehen werden, wir hatten Besuch von zwei Hirschen und zwei Kühen, (was für uns eher spannend war). Wenn es uns wieder auf die Isle of Skye zieht, würden wir gern wieder hier wohnen. Danke Peter und Wendy

Peace and quiet and lots of space 😊

Our family of 5 from Australia had a very comfortable 10 day stay at the cottage recently . We loved the spaciousness of the cottage - 4 bedrooms and 3 living room areas are not easy to find, especially in the more moderate budget range. The house was well equipped with almost everything one would need on a holiday...although some knives that can actually cut would be a blessing!! The owners were an absolute pleasure to deal with and were exceptionally quick in responding to any queries we had. We had been warned against going to Skye in winter, but the cottage was toasty warm even during some bitingly chilly days, and going outdoors was not an issue as long as one was well rugged up. However given that so, so many of the nearby cafes and restaurants are closed for the entire winter season (something we were utterly unaware of and really disappointed by 😔) we feel the cottage would be best enjoyed in the non-winter period when there are actually establishments open to go to at the end of walks and various outings. All in all though, we had a very pleasant stay 😊

Logement très agréable, accueillant et confortable au bout de l'ile de Skye

Le magasin le plus proche est à environ un quart d'heure de route. Il est petit, pas très bon marché . Il est préférable d'arriver avec des réserves alimentaires. La cuisine pourrait être équipée de casseroles et poêles plus grandes car la capacité d'accueil est de 8 personnes.

Isle of Skye - land of dreams

The point of our travelling to the Isle was to get away from the madding crowd, to spend time with family, walk in the fresh air and recharge our batteries. Skye did this and so much more. Changing weather, stunning rainbows and sunsets. The amazing light changes the scenes before you – new scenes open up in the blink of an eye. Really magical and its sheer beauty catches your breath. We know it is magical as Fairies live in Fairy Glen and bathe in the Fairy Falls while Giants walk Old Man of Storr and look out over the Quiraing. Kilt Falls pours out like a huge kettle spout while the Neist Point Lighthouse draws you to the end of the island. We will be coming back again in search of the Northern Lights and to explore caves, caverns and more beaches and hopefully staying in Waterfall View Cottage – a wonderful, warm and welcoming home from home that met our every need. Large family kitchen to eat in, good washing facilities for those masses of wet clothes, excellent heating to keep chill winds at bay and space for a bigger group. Do come equipped with correct clothing and footwear as well as most of the food you need so that you can get out and enjoy what the island has to offer from nature to local weavers, potteries, artists and castles rather than hunting for food stores. Always book well ahead for The Three Chimneys – a delicious treat.

Very comfortable house in a very attractive area

Waterfall View is a wonderful house on a very beautiful part of Skye. We found the house to be clean and very comfortable and well equipped. Spotting the red deer on our daily walks to the small harbour was a highlight for the children. Regular stunning sunsets over the Outer Hebrides added to the feeling of being somewhere very special. Wherever you stay on Skye there will be long drives to visit the points of interest (although Neist Point for the best sunset view ever is really very close). That is something we had not anticipated but which didn't spoil our time at all as the roads were really good and the views constantly amazing however long the journey. Shops are few and far between but the Post Office at Glendale just ten minutes drive away is like a Tardis inside and sells everything - it's amazing! I would recommend this house to a large family group as it is plenty big enough with a large kitchen, two comfortable lounges and a conservatory which gets toastie in the sunshine! The bedrooms are all good sizes too. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Fantastic views and a great place to relax

We had a really great holiday in Waterfall View, it's a lovely place to get away. Walking part of the Cuillin valley was definitely the highlight of the trip with such beautiful scenery and snow capped hills. We were also lucky with mostly calm weather and even got some snow. The house is well equipped with lots of space. Really great to call it ours for a week. The views down to the lock are stunning and it is a wonderfully quiet place to relax. Would thoroughly recommend to friends and family and we hope to return in the future.

Spacious 5* home

Access to the property was very easy. This welcoming, spacious 5* home was a joy to arrive too after a very long journey. The property is clean, light & airy and well maintained with fantastic views over the Loch and Outer Hebrides. If you like walking there are plenty of walks to do. Skye is easy to travel around by car. The 3 Chimneys restaurant is always very busy and difficult to book a reservation. The local shop has basic provisions which is more than adequate to get started with. Dunvegan castle & seals are worth a visit.

Cottage with magnificent views

we just arrived at home after 2 weeks of holidaying in Scotland, of which we spend the first week at Waterfall View Cottage. We have had a superb week at your lovely cottage. It is at a nice location with magnificent views. Cottage feels like you are at the end as well as on top of the world, without feeling (uncomfortably) alone. The house was well-maintained, clean, and provided with everything we could possibly need. Loved the fireplace! Skye in november was covered in magnificent colours! We had quite good weather so enjoyed a lot of walking. Thank you again for letting us stay at your cottage.
