The place was filthy, dirty/greasy oven. Dirty dishes in cupboard, broken couch with recliners didn’t work and torn upholstery, only 2 of 6 lamps worked, dirty floor which haven’t been mopped in a very long time, only 1 teaspoon no serving bowls, refrigerator shelves and drawers were broken, the fence for the fenced in yard was broken down and falling with a big hole in it, the trash bins were full the entire time we were there, garbage disposal kept breaking so unable to use one of the kitchen sink basins, there were crushed and empty beer and soda cans and bottles in the back yard. Tree debris and trash strewn around all over the front and side yard. Washing mashing detergent dispenser was filthy and dryer vent was full of lint and screen was rusted and broken. While this place has a lot of potential, think twice before you decide to rent this place.

This place has a lot of potential. 2 towels for a 3 bedroom has was skimpy. There was no washcloths or hand towels. There was no oven mitts for cooking. Not a full set of silverware or a decent knife to cook with. The couch was different than pictured which wasn’t a big deal, but it was a recliner and it didn’t recline. Light bulbs were an issue, I bought a 4 pack and that was still not enough to fill all the empty light sockets in the home, which I felt were fire hazards to leave open in the ceiling fans and lamps. Also the door locks battery needed changed for the door code to work.

Great Stay!

Our group was in town for work and had an amazing stay here! The home is well maintained, well stocked, and had plenty of space for us to spread out. The beds were comfortable and our host was extremely helpful! We also liked the location which made it very easy to get downtown and had the added benefit of being close to shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice place

This was a nice place close to everything you need. Quite area a little busy road but nothing bad. Had plenty of room for what we needed for the weekend.

Great Stay!

The listing is just what it says. Simple and sweet. We travel here once a year for family. Perfect for a family and with pets. There’s a nice sized backyard for getting your pets essential exercise or if you would like to just spend time outside enjoying nature. Everything was clean. Centrally located, you can get just about anywhere within 20-25 minutes, pending traffic of course. We plan on booking here for our future family trips.

Not for us

The home could definitely be upgraded. Poor quality bathrooms. The lockbox code wasn’t displayed properly. The listing photos look decent and cute, but in actuality, the neighborhood is not the best. Lower quality area. Females staying alone will need to stay with caution! People walking, gunshots, busy main road.

Short and sweet

Location was ideal for our family purpose. We were able to get in and out of Charlotte easily, plenty of stores and restaurant choices in the area, for everyday needs. House was generally clean and you can clearly see very nice renovations recently made. We did not need to stay long or cook many meals. The kitchen still needs some items to sufficiently make a meal, but had the basics. Some side tables and lamps in main living area would be more 'homey'. We could not figure out the living room tv, but the bedroom one worked. We love to play cards, so it didn't matter to us much. :) This house is on a main road and there is traffic and transportation sounds throughout the night, and lights (that was blinking all night - to no control of this house). Some noise reduction curtains would help with all of that. Overall, we were thankful to have a secure place to rest and fellowship as a family.

Nice little house, too small for 10 adults, had issues with owner...details below.

Eight of us, all adults, were in town from all over the country (TX, CA, NY and FL) for a wedding. We looked forward to staying together since we rarely get to see each other. The location was very convenient to the reception venue and the airport as well. The three bedrooms were very nice with comfy beds and adequate linens/blankets. The kitchen is small but has pretty much everything you need for your stay. For a house the supposedly accommodates 10 people there should be a larger eating arrangement than the 4 person table though, possibly a folding table and some chairs. Unfortunately everything wasn't smooth when it came to sleeping arrangements. First off there were no extra blankets for the couch and air mattress. I informed Sam the first night of the situation and he claimed they were in the closet, there were none. We ended up having to buy blankets at Walmart the second night after using towels and extra sheets the first night. No response from Sam about the blankets after that. The air mattress deflated part way through the first night causing a very uncomfortable sleepless night for my niece. Sam claimed it was user error even though we had two adults check the tightness on the valve and re-inflate only for it to be partially deflated a few hours later. No reply from Sam about stopping by to verify or send someone to assist. So we decided to put my 82 year old mother up in a hotel nearby where one of my brothers was staying. I emailed Sam and told him of the situation with no offer of assistance in the matter. Upon our return I emailed Sam again and he asked for a copy of the receipt for the hotel and blankets. I answered with a copy of the confirmation my brother provided and not to worry about the blankets since we were able to take them home. That still doesn't account for the inconvenience of having an unexpected expense and trip to the store. He offered nothing not even an apology. As for the hotel reimbursement he claims the air mattress was used after our stay without issue. Supposedly 10 people stayed at the house the next two days (a Wed and Thurs). But he has since decided to replace the air mattress with a different solution. He has refused to offer any reconciliation in the form of a partial refund for the hotel or blankets and inconvenience this caused having to relocate my 82 year old mother. The house is nice for 6-7 people but Sam's customer service is lacking in our experience.

Guests come in and make one requests after another which we tried to accommodate as best as we could and then threatened to leave us a negative review if we did not issue an partial refund. That's where we drew the line and stopped communicating with the guests. We have contacted homeaway support to help us with the situation. They are looking into this further.

Overall, fine with some issues.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay but we had a couple of complaints. There were a bunch of ants in the kitchen. There were only 2 forks. There was hair in one of the beds. All of the surfaces were not wiped.

Close to everything

We were in town to attend a concert at the stadium. This place is very close to downtown without being in downtown. There is shopping close by and lots of amazing restaurants! We were only a short Uber drive to the stadium and The Underground for a Pop Up show! The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was quite! Lots of parking and easy to navigate to shopping. Great place to stay when visiting Charlotte.

Okay stay.

Everything was neat but we didn’t have any cleaning tools. one bedroom the closet was locked shut. we were given different check in numbers. the grass was not cut and the gate was halfway broke open. they decided to come during our stay and fix it. barely any pots to cook with.

Not the best but owner was responsive

We were given the wrong code upon check in. Owner did get with us within 20 minutes. The overall cleanliness was below average. Looked like a party had been there and the walls has spill marks on them. Couch had burn marks and was broken and dirty. The back outside was bad. There was broken glass everywhere. There was a broken mirror outside, puke, dog poop and solo cups and numerous trash items. The beds inside were very comfortable and roomy. The bathrooms and showers were clean not shining but clean. There was a major septic issue and the toilets backed up and the showers and sinks. This was not foreseeable from the owner but he was very responsive. Took 24 hours to get resolved. Owner did issue a small partial refund. Not safe location homeless people walking around and our car got broken into. There are no surveillance cameras.

Great Little House

The first thing we noticed was how clean the house was and how nice and fresh it smelled. Easy to get to and large fenced back yard, it was so nice to be able to bring our fur children. Rooms are a good size and bathrooms are nice. Kitchen was missing a few things but a quick trip to Walmart fixed that. Bring baking dishes and trays if you plan to bake. Sam was very fast to respond to questions and offer assistance. Would stay again if needed.

Make sure to bring basic necessities

Over all, we had a decent stay. The house still had confetti and stuff from the party before us. The house also lacked basic necessities such as hand soap for the bathrooms, baking sheets in the kitchen. When I stay in an place like this , I expect there to be everything I need . It does not have an onsite washer so I feel there should be extra towels and there was not. There was also no wash cloths. Overall, it was decent but hopefully they have it restocked better for the next family .

Nice Place

This property has lots of great features. Queen size beds in each of 3 bedrooms. Fenced in back yard for kids or pups. Both bathrooms outfitted nicely. We had a small issue of the unit having no trash bags but were able to work around it and really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Faulty appliances

Placed 1 item on shelf for a 1 night stay that clasped to bottom and broke the bottom pan. Was charged 100% of cost to fix which seemed to be an exiting issue. Ended up spending almost the same in repairs as the stay. Won’t be back.

Parents book the house for their College going son who checks in with his friends and damages Refrigerator Shelving and expects not to pay for it. There was no problem with Shelving to begin with.

Great Trip

My friends and I went to McAdenville, the Billy Graham Library, and to the Charlotte Motor Speedway. This location was great for each place we went. It is also close to downtown. Great place to stay!

Great location

Better than the pictures! All bedrooms are large. Great air conditioner. Plenty of seating as the dining area combines with the living area. Close to downtown.
