Discovery 4 - Unit 142 is a popular and comfortably remodeled 1 bedroom loft, 2 bath condominium.

Maximum Occupancy: Unit 142 sleeps 6 people comfortably.

Bed arrangement: The master bedroom has a queen size bed. Upstairs there are 2 twin beds and a queen bed as well as a newly remodeled bathroom.

This unit is the perfect retreat for your mountain vacation. It features new cabinets, appliances, and granite counter tops in a fully equipped kitchen as well as a separate dining area that leads out a private deck that is supplied with dry, seasoned firewood for use in the wood stove fireplace. The main bedroom has a queen bed next to a full size bathroom with tub and shower as well as a separate vanity area. There is another queen bed and 2 child-size twin beds in the loft as well as a newly remodeled bathroom. The living room has a Smart Flat Screen TV, a drawer full of games and a well-stocked bookcase. The Discovery 4 Recreation Room offers coin-operated laundry machines, a pool table, foosball table, ping pong table and a cabinet with various board games. The Jacuzzi & dry sauna are open year round while the swimming pool is heated from Memorial Day weekend until Labor-Day weekend. Gas bar-b- ques are located in the rec. area for guest use.

On Site Amenities: Walk over to the recreation room and enjoy its amenities, including coin op laundry machines, a pool table, a ping pong table, video games, a soda machine, and small reading area. At the end of your day unwind in the jacuzzi or dry sauna which are open year round. The pool is heated from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. There are gas barbecues located in the pool area all year long.

This is not a pet unit and no smoking please.

Just One Issue

Family vacation

I am giving 4 stars because the rec room was down and so was the spa. We couldn't watch movies because someone previous had destroyed the hdmi cable. Other then that it was a great experience.

Perfect for a family of five

We were very pleased with this property. The loft and attached bathroom was perfect for our kids aged 9, 9, and 12. Each had their own bed. They loved the nearby game room and spent several hours playing foosball and ping pong. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we could possibly need. The only thing I wish were different was the huge stack of firewood on the balcony. It took up over half the space so that if I sat out there, all I saw was firewood. I would strongly recommend bringing your own pillows as the ones provided are quite flat. Other than that, the beds were comfy.

Everything You'd Need for a Great Ski Trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A great condo for our a group of skiers/boarders. The two single beds plus queen in the loft allows for flexible sleeping arrangements. The bedroom has it's own sink which is a nice feature to have in addition to the 2 bathrooms. This helps get everyone out of the house and ready to catch First Chair. Eagle Lodge is only 4 mins away. The recreation building has a large hot tub, sauna, two shower rooms (Men's & Women's), and coin-op laundry. As the pics show, there's table tennis, a TV and a coin-op pool table. Propane BBQ grill. Pool closed in the winter.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have a group that has been staying at D4 to ski for 30 years and we love it. This time, however, we arrived to learn that the Jacuzzi was not working, had not been working for 6 weeks. The entire rec building was closed down as well. We should have been notified before booking so that we could have made a better choice. A jacuzzi after skiing is mandatory, especially at the ages we are now. Would like a discount-refund, please. And change your policies to: 1) get things fixed when they break, and 2) Notify guests of an outage before they arrive and offer a refund, rather than surprising them. This is dirty pool (no pun intended).

From the moment we arrived, everything went smoothly, making it a perfect retreat for me and my two kids.The check-in process was seamless. I picked up the keys from the lockbox with no issues, and the owners had thoughtfully provided a printed map to the rental. This was a lifesaver since Google Maps wasn’t accurate, and with the snow falling heavily, having a reliable map saved us from wandering around unnecessarily.Once we arrived, the cabin took our breath away. It was absolutely beautiful, cozy, and perfectly maintained. The appliances were modern and up to date, making it easy to cook and enjoy meals together. The layout was perfect for a family, with 2 comfortable bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (both with bathtubs), which was ideal after long days out in the snow. The added sink in the master bedroom was a nice touch and made getting ready even more convenient.One of the highlights for us was the entertainment options. The cabin had an amazing DVD library that brought us hours of fun and nostalgia. Plus, we had access to Netflix and reliable WiFi, so we were never short of things to watch or do while staying warm inside.Every detail was thought through to make our stay enjoyable. From the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy living room where we spent evenings playing games and watching movies, it felt like a home away from home. My kids had an amazing time, and so did I.I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a seamless and memorable experience in Mammoth. Whether you're looking to explore the snow-covered outdoors or just relax in a beautiful cabin, this place has it all. We can’t wait to return!

Nice cozy place to stay

Perfect stay

We had a wonderful family vacation here. The place is cozy and charming with lots of art decorating the walls. The kitchen was well stocked and the living room had lots of games and dvds. Great location within walking distance of Canyon Lodge and short drive to downtown or Tamarack Lodge. Easy check in and check out. Would stay here again!

Cozy stay for a week of skiing

Great Condo!

This was a great little condo and very efficient use of space for 5 adults. It came with all the amenities we needed and location is close to the Canyon Lodge. I would give a 5 star rating but the cable was not working for our stay. I tried to email the owner and called Mammoth Properties who told me that others have complained from other units as well and blamed the recent storms for the problem. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay in this unit.

great location, condo a little out of date

the condo did not look AT ALL like what we saw in the pictures. it wasn't bad, just not what i thought i was getting. it was way more cozy and home-y than i expected, which is fine. very cabin-y with lots of funky art all around. the location was great as you could actually walk up the hill from there and ski down to a lift - no need for transportation to/from the mountain. the common area was fine - with ping pong and pool which was fun, and of course a hot tub.
