Captains Quarters A | 1.5 Blocks to Beach and Pier

Captains Quarters A is a duplex/apartment conveniently located only 1.5 blocks to Tybee's South beach, pier, restaurants, and shopping. This home is perfect for the budget traveler and couples. Tasteful furnishings, artwork, and accessories throughout the home. The living area features a sleeper sofa and a 32 inch TV. The dining area has seats 4.

The bedroom features a King-size bed and a large flat-screen TV. The large furnished sunroom in the front of the house is furnished with table seating for 4 - perfect for reading a good book and enjoying a good cup of coffee at any time of the day. The wall-mounted split a/c is perfect for keeping the apartment cool in summer months and warm in cooler months.

The large front yard has an outdoor brick (charcoal) BBQ and an additional gas grill for guest use. There are a washer and dryer available for guest's use. The washer and dryer are shared with the neighboring unit. Parking for two cars and Wifi for guest use. Handicap friendly (ground level, no stairs; not ADA compliant).

MINIMUM NIGHT REQUIREMENTS: Minimum night requirements vary by property, dates of stay, and usually become more lenient for last-minute bookings.

EXTENDED STAY RENTALS (26+ NIGHTS): All stays require a refundable security deposit to be paid, the amount is included in your online quote. A monthly electrical allowance is assigned according to the bedroom size of the property and has been chosen as this amount should not be exceeded with reasonable usage at the property. Walked to the beach

Was a good location to walk to the beach and central activities. My wife and i had plenty of space, though a cozy bathroom.

Cute and No Frills

Nice location to the south beach and pier. Never walked it, but did bike and used a golf cart. Decent size for 2 adults and a child. Small bathroom and kitchen, when the sofa bed was out not a lot of room in the living room area. The sunroom was nice. There’s quite a few rules in place, but the surrounding properties didn’t really follow them which was a little annoying. It would be difficult to fit two cars next to each other in the proclaimed 2 parking spots for the unit. If you’re looking for a place to sleep, shower, and cook a simple meal while spending most of your time out and about this is the place to stay. Had difficulty with the checkout system, so I messaged them and called, they promptly took care of it. Would stay again.

Our stay was very pleasant.The only change I would recommend, is adding pull curtains to the sunroom for more privacy at night, and adding at least a door chain to be able to lock the connecting door from the main house and the sunroom.

Small but nice.

The property is well maintained but a bit too close to Sting Ray's restaurant which featured live music some nights. That said, it was very convenient and easy to walk to the beach and restaurants. It was a good value except of VRBO's excessive fees.

The property was a block away from the beach and peer and since we brought our own ebikes, getting around anywhere we needed to was a breeze. We had a blast and the children loved getting to explore and have a new adventure.

Stay near Stingray's

Very clean, quiet stay within a very short walk of one of our favorite restaurants, Stingrays (get the conch fritters!) and a new coffee shop. Grab a bite and easily walk to the beach.

Quaint little place one block from beach

It was a quaint little place one block from the beach..... clean and well-stocked. Walked to the grocery store and to every restaurant we visited. Never had to get in the car. Great, relaxing weekend!

Very small but clean. Terrible picture on tv in bedroom and beach chairs were not useable. Very small pullout couch and not comfortable. Had hoped from description that was closer to the beach. Overall very clean and was an easy process. But if going again would pick a different property

Great couple getaway

The location was a small 5 minute walk to the beach & close to restaurants. It was the perfect size for 2 people. The bathroom was a little small but manageable. The small rental duplex was all we needed for the cost.

Cute little bungalow

Property was clean, cute , unit is not made for more than 3 people. Pictures are deceiving on size, still a great place to rent and stay. Walking distance to everything. Would highly recommend them changing It to no more than 3 people in the unit. Plenty of towels were provided, they provided most everything we needed. Very clean and conveniently located.

We had a great first trip to Tybee Island. Captains Quarters A is super cute and great for a couple. We can't wait to return and stay in other properties within the company. Loved being so close to the beach and so close to restaurants and shops.

Great house for a quick stay at Tybee!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay here at Captains Quarters Suit A. It is conveniently located to the main beach and also the back river. Only a few blocks walking distance to both. The owners next door were very inviting and great to have around also. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Loved the place. Small but exactly what the two of us needed. The place was super cute, very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The beach is a couple of blocks away but took us less than ten minutes to get there. Cute shops along the way and plenty of places to eat. We will definitely stay here again.

Weekend beach getaway

Cute little place. It’s cooled by window units, which were a little loud cycling on and off. Once we took the bedroom one off the energy saver setting (so it would just be a constant noise) we slept better. This was perfect for two. I wouldn’t suggest it for larger folks. The bathroom is a little tight. It is absolutely fine, but could be a concern if you’re in the 300 lb plus club. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. The beach is a block and a half away and not real crowded at the 14th street access point. There is a gas station/convenience store and a restaurant/bar a very short block from the house. Grocery store is a couple blocks and many bars, restaurants and the pier are about the same distance in a different direction. We’d definitely stay here again!
