Coorumbene - 8 Scenic Way

Situated on a ridge over-looking Carrickalinga Beach, this spacious and comfortable holiday home offers accommodation for all seasons and sleeps up to eleven people. A five-bedroom (really 4.5 bedrooms as one is an alcove bedroom) open-plan spacious house with all the creature comforts.

With a beautiful decking area boasting stunning sea views, separate parents retreat in the 'Boat shed'.
Large open plan living areas, cosy combustion heater, and air-conditioning. The kitchen is newly renovated and well-equipped.
This is a striking stretch of coastline where the rounded hills of the Fleurieu Peninsula plunge down to the sea. The township is squeezed between the hillside and dunes.
There are three separate bathrooms, one with a spa bath.
There is a very large, grassed area, and garden, in front of the house, and a very wide 180-degree decking overlooking the sea.
This renovated home has spectacular ocean views. Watch the waves from the pristine beach on the extensive decking and enjoy amazing sunsets.

Location: One street back from the beach.
Bed configuration: Sleeps 11 (5 bedrooms/3 bathrooms) incl bath.
Main House: 1 x Queen. 1 x Double. 2 x Bunk beds.
Boathouse: 1 x Queen. 1 x single (you must walk through the queen room to get to the single room).
Bathroom Configuration: Main house - B1 = shower-bath, wc and vanity. B2 = shower, vanity, wc.
Boathouse - Spa, shower, vanity, wc.
Facilities: Large open plan Lounge, Dining, Kitchen, Laundry.
Features/entertainment: tv, dvd, bbq.
Heating/cooling: Reverse Cycle Air Conditioner to living area, Combustion heater (firewood is not supplied).
Pets: Pets Allowed.
Fenced: Not fully fenced.
Special features: Wifi, beautiful decking with stunning sea views.
Cleaning: Cleaner will be hired on your behalf, and will be incorporated in to the rental fee.
Bedding: All duvets and duvet covers are provided, all mattress protectors are provided, and all pillows are provided.
Linen: Sheets and towels are not provided, guests must supply their own, or Guests can hire linen packages through our Ray White Normanville office. (Prior ordering is essential)
Each pack contains the following items and can be ordered to suit bedding configuration and guest numbers:
Top and bottom sheets, pillowcases, bath towel, hand towel, bath mat face washer, and T-towel

Short Break with the family and dog

Lots of space, big kitchen, 3 bathrooms and plenty of beds! Beautiful ocean and coastal views and an easy walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay in Carrickalinga. House good, in great location. Just a bit of feedback regarding the very large spiders in webs in skylight center just above both bathrooms.

A peaceful getaway with a eautiful beach and, great ocean views and

Good beach holiday property, great for large groups/families. Short stroll to beach. Carrickalinga rock pools are fabulous. The property could do with more dining chairs given it can accommodate up to 11 guests, and locks on bathroom doors would be good, as well as extra toilet paper. Overall it was a lovely stay.

Great location, needs some maintenance

The house has wonderful sea views, and is close to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped, the living space comfortable, and the deck is spacious and a great place to watch the sunset. Our group of 6 had a lovely weekend. My partner and I stayed in the 'boat house', and it needs some attention. The windows are locked and can't be opened with the keys provided, the large western-facing blind is broken, the floor was dirty, and the sizeable bedroom has not as much as a single chair provided.

Fabulous location

Fabulous location, walking distance to beach. Kitchen excellent and generally well equipped. Found the bathrooms in the centre of the house a little odd and lacking privacy when staying with a large group; however this was a minor issue given the rest of the house worked really well for our large group of 10. A few pedestal fans wouldn't go a miss in the bedrooms, they were extremely hot during our stay. Overall we had a great time and would stay again.

Great location, but a few things not right

The house is generally lovely with a gorgeous outlook and great location to the beach; however, there's a few things that make staying at the property with a group a little less than great. > The double bed room is extremely small - it just fits a double and that's about it > All 3 bedrooms in the main house are in extremely close proximity - you can hear everything from every room > The doors to the sleeping area, bedrooms and bathrooms in the sleeping area click really loudly when you open and close them > There are no fans in the bathrooms... not great when you're sharing with a group of people, it makes bathroom time awkward > The light in the main bathroom flickers on and off terribly (I'm sure this can be fixed easily with a new globe) > No air conditioning or ceiling fans in the main house bedrooms ... they did have some portable ones, but if you stay over summer, be ready to be hot at night > The outdoor umbrella is a monstrosity, it cannot handle wind - one of our group nearly got taken over the balcony with it whilst trying to put it down. While it provides good shade, it's awkward and cumbersome to use - a retractable shade cloth would do the area much better > BYO kitchen spray, toilet paper, paper towel and laundry detergent - There is not enough for your stay for your group number > Bin collection runs on the council cycle which is fair enough, but if you have a group stay that fills the bins before you and the bins aren't collected, there won't be room for your stuff which is frustrating I would be a little hesitant about staying here again, I'd look for something else first.
