The Location - Set high above the pristine waters of Dutchies Beach, Mirage offers unparalleled views of Port Stephens. Keep it relaxed and head directly down to the beach below, famed for its calm, clean waters and a great place for the morning swim, it offers free BBQ facilities, amenities block and a childrens playground to the northern end. There is a grassed landing to the rear of the property as well as access to a pathway that leads to the popular 'Bridle Path' that skirts the bay. Head along this path into Nelson Bay township approx 2km away for cafes and restaurants either in the CBD or Marina.

The Duplex - Positioned overlooking popular Dutchies Beach, Mirage offers modern open plan living with amazing views from most windows. A split system air conditioner keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter. The living area has two x 2 seater lounges, 36 inch Flat Screen TV, free wifi, CD player, dining table and chairs. A sliding glass door accesses a private balcony with outdoor setting and features an electric BBQ with beautiful vistas across the harbour. The brand new kitchen comes fully equipped and has a stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, stove top, microwave and a standard size fridge / freezer.

The main bedroom has a queen size bed, bedside tables, mirrored built-in robe, small Flat screen TV, water views and a private ensuite with a glass shower, vanity, toilet and a corner spa bath with a viewing window. The second bedroom has two single beds, bedside table, wardrobe and a private bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet. There are internal laundry facilities including a top loading washing machine and dryer. This property also offers a carport space for one vehicle and access down some steps to the duplex.

There are definitely smoke detectors at this property.

Proximity to beaches, shops, restaurants and activities. House was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed (except washing machine powder - which is minor). We loved our stay and would stay again.

Quiet retreatā€¦

Outstanding property which exactly met our expectations. Pleasantly quiet and private, no traffic sounds, just the sounds from beach and trees. Only drawback would be those with mobility issues as there are stairs to negotiate to the entry. Nice place that Iā€™m sure weā€™ll return to.

The views from every room were lovely. However, the bedrooms require ceiling fans as they can get very warm. Also, guests need to be able to get up and down the stairs leading to the property. Otherwise, the property was well-equipped.

Great Location, not very clean

Property was in a fantastic location, walking distance to the beach. Unfortunately it wasnā€™t very clean. The unit was covered in dust, hair, bugs/ants and there were stains on the bedding. Balcony hadnā€™t been cleaned as there was food on the floor from previous guests. Dryer is broken (doesnā€™t stay on). Wouldnā€™t return due to cleanliness.

Great location with awesome view. Very basic property as it looked tired with old furniture's. Guests are required to do their own bed. Foxtel connection was not active. Over rated.

The only thing is there's no oven in kitchen but we still managed with electric stove top and microwave.

Nice Stay in nice apartment.

Well located apartment with great sea views. Quiet neigbourhood with access to local beach and walking track with 10-15 minutes to Nelson Bay shops. Basic kitchen setup but no cooking oven. Contract Cleaners need a reminder to address issues like cleaning of the balcony floor and spa bath which had residue hair left from previous occupants. TV remote in bedroom had no batteries and it would be nice to leave a can of fly spray in the flat as mozzies are an issue. Otherwise all good ..... recommended.

A short break at Dutchies Beach

Mirage is the ideal place for a relaxing break up in Port Stephens. Lovely, clean and a wonderful, calm ambience. Perfect balcony to sit with a wine and watch the sun set over the bay and be entertained by the lorikeets, kookaburras, cockatoos and many more. Short cut to the beach via stairs not far from the apartment or a walk to Nelson Bay for a coffee. We loved our stay and hope to return in the year ahead. Tony and Barb Moffatt

The property had a great view BUT not clean.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property had a great view and the bed was comfy. But the price was to high due to the property not being clean. Spider webs on furniture and I had to wipe over the bedside tables and lamps before even making the bed. Some Glasses in the cupboard not washed or rinsed still having red wine in them.I washed all the things I used in the kitchen before we used them.I would think that the owners of this property would not be happy as the up stairs property looked spotless.I would only recommend this property if it was clean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Property was in a great spot.great views. It wasnā€™t clean very well all the glass looked dirty l had to clean most of the dishes we used and the coffee machine had old pods in it. Also had to clean the balcony the floor dirty. I also feel that the beds should be made up. Some of the mattress protectors were stained. The tea towel to new couldnā€™t dry dishes well. Should provide more dishwasher powder and detergent and soap. We have stayed at many places and this one wasnā€™t good at all, for the price you pay. Very disappointed. Thank you Regards Mrs Lam

Amazing view

Amazing water views from every room. Large spa bath was lovely. plenty of birds to watch and listen to, over all we had a relaxing stay.

Absolutely stunning view but pics of place donā€™t show the huge steep stairs to get down

Being disabled, there is no way I would of picked this place to stay view or no view.
