Lovely house - if a little tired

This is a lovely property and could be really nice. However, we found the level of cleanliness and the state of it could have been much better. In all fairness to the rental company Horizon, whenever we had an issue they did try to rectify it. But there were many issues. Stained carpets and old furniture aside, when we arrived cleaners had to come back to remove a dead cockroach in closet, ants on window cills, substances in kitchen cupboards etc and subsequently we found bbq was filthy, broken blinds and had to safety pin curtains in master bedroom for privacy! Hair dryer plug was smashed and towels were ripped. A quick trip to Walmart to buy pillows, towels, hair dryer etc was a necessity. We had rental for a month and when after 2 weeks I was mopping bathroom I found perfect dead lizard thoroughly squashed and dried out under the bath mat which was stuck to the floor! Whilst I appreciate that we were in the tropics (we owned a house on Marco for 9 years ourselves) that was just not acceptable as mats hadnā€™t been moved for months! Vacuum cleaner was held together with bungee cord and fell apart when used. Outside paths and windows were filthy and tiles on the edge of jacuzzi and pool were broken and dangerous for children in the pool. This should be viewed as constructive criticism, a lovely house just needs to be maintained properly. Pictures available.

Great Family Vacation on Marco Island

We love going to Marco Island in the summer, not only is the weather perfect for the beach and boating, there are very few people here at this time too. The home was very large and spacious, providing plenty of room for all my family to relax and enjoy. We rented a boat for several days and were able to tie the boat up to the large dock outside the back door. This was very convenient for the short trip to one of our favorite spots, Tiger Tail Beach. Property is very confidently located to all stores and restaurants on the island.

Visit to Marco Island/

LOcations is great. Inside cabinets mouse droppings. we saw roaches in several places. The pantry is lock so we had to put our stuff on the counter. I spoke with the manager toll her their mold in property. she said that they had a water leak, and they told the owner. so impacted the second floor. well, you also have it on the first floor between Living room and the Den. we had no internet for 3 days. not enoough pots and pans. THe pool Deck needs work. Jacjusi the tile where water drops is cut and dangerous.

Family vacation

I rented this property because I do not have enough room in my own Marco house to accommodate everyone. We just used this house for sleeping and bathing. It served its purpose.

Labor Day in Marco Island

Over all the property is great. The location is great and Marco Island is fantastic. The home is large and has all the amenities that you can look for in a family vacation. Parking at Horizon's makes getting to the beach much easier then other properties. Unfortunately the home does show a lot of wear and tear. If these items get touched up this property can be amazing.

Family Getaway

The size of the house was perfect for our family of 9. We enjoyed the pool area and used the dock for kayaks and jet skis. The kitchen was spacious and a great meeting point for the family. The upstairs room was an added bonus as it served as a great location for the teens to gather and play games. The house can use a deep cleaning. The property needs a little TLC. I would definitely return but would like to see the cleanliness issue taken care of.

Great Vacation! Amazing memories!

Really enjoyed our first family vacation in over a year. We've visited Marco Island several times and this was the perfect space to accommodate our family and a few of our teenaged kids' friends. We rented a kayak and paddleboards which we launched from the private dock on the calm waterways and even saw several dolphins. Fishing, bbq, hot tub and beautiful nearby beaches all added to the memories. Thanks for sharing your house.

Summer 2022

The home is large, very clean and in excellent location. Property management was great about communication, check-in/out, etc. Only issue is that the property could use some TLC (e.g., a new interior paint job throughout, some attention to kitchen amenities and a some outdoor yard clean-up. These issues are all that keep me from a 5-star rating.

Great Location and wonderful home

The house is just as it is pictured. We had an amazing vacation with our kids and in laws. It is very spacious and the management company was great to work with. It has an upstairs area that my husband used as an office that was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location in a great neighborhood! The home could use some updating and TLC

Had a great stay. Loved the pool, view and location. The hike is a bit run down but with a little TLC it would be awesome. The master bed was comfy but the Guest beds are simply twins moved together which left a gap in the middle. I own rentals too and if this were my home I would take a bit of time and money to upgrade some things like paint, kitchen equipment and mattresses. Communication with manager was top notch!

Perfect for Family

This property was perfect for our family group of 8. The upstairs suite allowed the girls to have the own space. Neighborhood is quiet. Location allowed for biking adventures including to the beach.
