Enjoy the tranquil waters at this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with an open living, dining and kitchen concept. This waterfront home has views of both Ship Creek and a beautiful Southwest exposure to Broad Creek with multiple waterfront decks and a waterfront screened porch. There is a deep-water dock with water and a cleaning station for prepping your catch of the day. (The boat lift and the boat are not included). There are 2 kayaks, and outdoor dining area, hammock and a gas grill for your pleasure. Basic cable, Wi-Fi and linens are included for your convenience. The kitchen features all your basic cookware, refrigerator with ice and water in door, coffee maker, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. There is also a high chair and Pack & Play available for little ones.

The Master bedroom has a king bed with a private bath featuring a soaking tub as well as a shower stall. The other two bedrooms both have queen beds.

Anyone traveling in an EV vehicle will be happy to know you can now charge at the property. There is a 220V NEMA 14-50 outlet available for your mobile charger. You must provide your own mobile charger and cord.

Bring your boat, the Neuse River is where fresh waters meet salt waters creating a variety of estuaries hosting Red Drum, Tarpon, Croaker, Channel Bass, Trout, Spanish Mackerel and Spot just to name a few species. Enjoy salt water fishing? Twenty three nautical miles east of Oriental brings you to the boating community of Ocracoke Island, rich in history including the haunts of the legendary pirate, Blackbeard, unique eateries and great art. The Gulf Stream lies 45 miles away where you will find Bill Fish, Sail Fish, Grouper, Cobia and Stripers aplenty.

Please understand this property is located in a residential neighborhood that embraces tranquility, nature and wildlife. If you did not know, sound travels far over water so please be mindful of your noise level so as not to disturb the neighbors around you. No parties or events are allowed. Complaints will be addressed quickly.

This is a wonderful getaway for the whole family, plus any pets for a small fee of $25 per day per pet.

The actual locale was beautiful! But finding it was a little bit tedious, as the GPS told us to stop at the end of the pathway that led to the actual house. And that made it confusing when coming in during the night, but we all managed to make it to our destination. There was obvious smell in the house, but it was clean and very nice. And the AC didnā€™t cool like it should, especially upstairs. The inside temperature stayed around 75 degrees even though we set the thermostat to 70. But we enjoyed ourselves regardless. The house is situated on the water and has a pier for fishing. And we certainly took advantage of that. We even used one of the kayaks that were in the garage. We really did enjoy our stay! Thank you!

Perfect if you like fishing and peace and quiet.

Property was better than the pictures. We caught some fairly large fish off the dock. There is no cell signal at the house, or for several square miles. The WiFi worked well and was fine for Voip . I have a Google Voice number which worked perfect as did daughters IPhone. If you are relying on your cell instead of a real GPS make sure you download the maps off line or it will stop working. Perfect weather not humid and one light rain day. I would recommend getting to the house when there is daylight. It is a bit in the sticks and with no cell coverage it would really be not fun getting stuck somewhere. I would not hesitate to book again.

Fishing Trip 2024

We had a wonderful time on our vacation. We spent quite a bit of time on the screened in porch. The views were awesome and the whole vibe is very relaxing. I took my boat and enjoyed the ease of using it every day with only a short walk to the dock and not a drive to the ramp. We will certainly look to stay here again next trip.

Lives up to its name

Tranquil Waters is a fantastic property. Well equipped, spacious and so well located. Having Kayaks was the reason we chose this place and the waters around the property are ideal for lazy kayaking whilst watching the ospreys fly over and the fish jumping. The town of Oriental is a delight. Highly recommend.

Tranquillity at its finest

This Vrbo is so peaceful and beautiful. The house was very clean and everything you need is available for an enjoyable stay. The restaurants nearby were extremely nice with excellent food. The people around the town are so friendly and hospitable.

Great Stay!

The property was even better in person. The view is amazing! Just what we needed while we were visiting friends for Thanksgiving. I'd love to stay again. My only criticism is that it was a bit difficult to find. My husband actually went to the wrong house and tried to get in!!! That could have ended very badly! It would have helped if we'd been warned that it was tucked away off of a gravel road (happy surprise) and that the entry road way was easy to drive past. The sign is rather small and low to the ground and I looked right over the top of it. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

Family vacation

The perfect everything!

I can't begin to tell you how much we loved staying in this property. It was absolutely perfect. Location, amenities, neighborhood, etc. We could have easily moved into this place permanently. It was exceptionally clean, was in a very quiet neighborhood and was the best place to relax for just the two of us and our dog. As much as we loved to tool around the area, two days we actually went nowhere - we just stayed "home." We hung out on the porch, played ball with the dog in the yard and enjoyed the views on the water. Every morning we watched the fishermen pick up their crab traps. Beth Frazer and Associates were a pleasure to work with and made the entire process totally stress free. Their local restaurant recommendations were spot on. One quick thing. If you want to go grocery shopping while there, don't discount the very small Piggly Wiggly in Oriental. That store had a very large selection for its unassuming looks. We will be returning to this property. We absolutely loved it.

Private oasis in the woods

Great property in a semi secluded location. House was clean and well appointed, dock was great for parking our boat for the weekend. My only critique is the driveway. We brought a rather large trailer to tow our boat and it was difficult to maneuver once down the drive. Other than that great stay and we would definitely stay here again

Wonderful Stay

I was not surprised walking into this house as it was as advertised. It was my husband's birthday and it was a great place to celebrate with our older children. Everyone has something to do. We fished, kayaked, laid on the hammock and played games. Wish we could of stayed a little longer.

2021 Fishing Trip

What an amazing property! We absolutely loved everything about our stay here. We were able to keep the boat in the water for our entire trip which made getting to and from the fishing grounds that much easier. The views are spectacular and the house was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Great property, but you need to be aware of a couple of things

First, this is really a great property. The house is truly wonderful and has clearly been updated, at least insofar as the exterior porches are concerned. Lots of privacy, great views, good beds, super clean, comfy furniture, good location, very well stocked kitchen, good wifi. Everything I want in a property. The mgmt company was very helpful with questions initially. But, the listing does not mention that the boat lift will actually have the owner's boat on it and can't be used. Nor did Kyle at the mgmt company when I mentioned it to him. I've rented quite a few waterfront properties and even though the pictures may show a boat, it is never there and it's clear that the renters can use it. Not a peep from anyone about this. We came with a boat and expected to put it on the lift. Luckily the place does not suffer from big tides, or we would have been extremely unhappy just tying it up. The second issue is minor, but one I haven't seen in at least 15 years: No hair dryer. I haven't packed one for years because the properties always have a hair dryer now. The third issue is the lack of basic supplies. Minor, but irritating. We had 2 1/2 rolls of toilet paper for a family of four for a week and enough dishwashing pods for TWO loads. At this price point, that kind of nickel and diming is unheard of. However, they had no problem giving us unnecessary fancy mini shampoos, conditioner and soaps, which we didn't need. Wanna save money? Skip the fancy stuff and give us enough for basic necessities. I left the review at five stars just because the property is so great and can't be faulted for the policies of the mgmt company, which was helpful otherwise.

Beautiful home with a wonderful view. Very quiet and peaceful.

We had a very quiet and relaxing long weekend celebrating our sons 16th birthday. The property was exactly as advertised. The house had everything we needed and the dock was perfect for our boat. We would definitely rent again.
