The home and location are beautiful. The weather was cool so the fireplace was enjoyable However, we had trouble checking in, the keypads did not work and the tvs also did not work.

This was a beautiful house, very clean, and we loved relaxing in the hot tub with it facing the beach. 5 out of 5 on the house itself! The parking was limited so if you have bigger vehicles, a boat, or an ATV be aware it will be very tight when parking. We have a Yukon and a lifted Denali truck that was not able to fit under the house. The neighbors made a complaint but they were the ones partying loudly until 3am all weekend long. The owner of that house was very nice, apologized since we were barely over the property line, helped us pull our trailer under the house, and told us this happens almost every time a new person stays here. He plans to build a fence down his property line soon. This was no fault of either owner just a heads up if you plan to stay here.

Excellent stay!!

We enjoy an occasional trip to Crystal Beach a couple times a year. This was our first visit in April and first time at Moonstone property. What a great place! The house was clean and the views from the deck overlooking the ocean, watching the waves and sunsets were beautiful. We relaxed in the hot tub, walked the beach every day and slept great at night in the very comfortable bed! We appreciated the fact that we didn’t see one mosquito, gnat, or even a fly the entire time we were there! We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning. The house had plenty of space for larger groups, and a wonderful island kitchen. We didn’t use the grill, since we wanted a break from cooking and wanted to enjoy places on the peninsula to eat, so can’t speak to that but appreciated it was available if we wanted to use it. The kitchen had everything needed if we did want to stay in and cook. The water pressure in the shower was a little low but the water was plenty hot and it didn’t affect our stay at all. Will definitely book again. Access to the beach was great. and the outdoor shower was perfect when we came back up from the beach so we could rinse off. We didn’t need to contact the hosts for anything, the check in process was easy. They sent friendly emails or messages with everything we needed to know and offered to answer questions or assist with anything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to another trip !! :)

Great Beach Front Stay

We had a great stay. The house was clean, tidy and cute - decorated in a beach motif - with plenty of room for my hubby, me and our small dog. It’s in a wonderful location, right on the water. A colorful table-and-chairs set and lounge chairs on the large gated porch made a perfect location to enjoy the sunrise, sunset, and the sound of the waves. It’s one of the few properties we found with a hot tub, which is right on the porch overlooking the beach.I would caution that you check the hot tub before entering it, though, as for us it was way over-chlorinated to the point that it bleached out my husband’s swim trunks. If you have small children, note that the windows have no safety measures in place to prevent a child from falling out, which could be an issue since, like all the houses in the area, it’s on pillars.There were a few minor issues, one of which was remedied very promptly after notifying the host.Make sure you check carefully before you leave the property that you have everything of value to you, since there is a convenience fee plus shipping to have it sent back to you.All in all we enjoyed a quiet, relaxing stay in the off season at this cute beach house and would definitely come back.

Peaceful, lovely beach house

We had a wonderful time! Many thanks to home owner and property management company for allowing us to stay at your home. Lovely beach house. Extremely clean. Nice decor. Peaceful area of the beach. Comfortable master bed. AC worked well. Well-stocked for our needs. No significant issues. George, Property Manager, was kind and helpful. We look forward to returning. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay with a couple of caveats

We really enjoyed our stay at Moonstone. The home is nicely appointed and very comfortable. Our dog Ziggy loved sitting out on the deck and watching the beach walkers stroll by. There are a couple of minor caveats that others should understand. The first is there really isn't an easy place to walk a dog. The house is surrounded by sand and there is no sidewalk or bike path along the highway. Our little dog has longer hair and we always try to keep him out of the sand. The second is both a plus and a potential minus. The home is located away from the main area of the island which means that it is a 10-15 minute drive to restaurants and groceries. That being said, it is also quiet with less traffic. All in all a very nice and relaxing place to stay!

Great stay

We had a very quiet and peaceful stay. Enjoyed having our dogs at the beach with us. The house was great, very clean and comfortable. The water pressure was low, but otherwise no complaints.

Great Beach Stay

Since this was our first stay at this beach we had no idea how difficult the stairs would be for us. If this home had a lift our stay would have been perfect. The listing was clear so no fault of the property. The home was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in every other respect.

Good but not great

The house itself is roomy and has some great features. We enjoyed the amenities, such as the towels provided, fully stocked kitchen, and board games. Unfortunately, we had to battle flies from the moment we stepped in the door till we left. The noise from the road was not ideal neither was the lack of yard space under the house. Parking under the house was difficult due to the poles being so close together.

Moonstone At Crystal Beach, Texas

We have stayed at Moonstone 5-6 times. So glad the new owners share their beach house with us. Perfect location to the beach. We enjoy the beach, then come back to the house. We enjoy cooking in their kitchen. Playing games at the big island, which seats eight people. The house is always clean, yard mowed. Beds are very comfortable. The sunrise is the best from the deck. I can't say enough about this place. My best friends always look forward to this trip.

Beach and birding

The house was great! Loved the kitchen and porch. Comfortable bed! Great view of beach, lovely watching the pelicans and dolphins. The area didn’t have much to offer in ways of restaurants or shops. We went to the area to go birding, so it was close to a lot of the bird sanctuaries.

Amazing house.

This is our second time renting with y'all but first time in the moonstone. It was perfect for our family. The water is right there so when one kid would get tired mom could take them up to the house and dad can stay with the others. The house is very pretty and clean. The house had everything we needed. We will be back again

Spring Break 24

Our Spring Break is week before the rest of area which meant most things closed. BUT, it did not matter as we got the jackpot on locations. I lived on the porch. Kids loved the beach even in the fog and cold. Thanks for a great vacation.

Great Getaway

We had a lovely time at MoonStone! The location is amazing, right on the beach! It was absolutely beautiful and the home has everything you need. Property Managers were super responsive. Will definitely return.

October getaway

Loved Moonstone. Very clean, decorated so pretty, comfy beds and furniture, very clean and had all the kitchen stuff to make meals at home. They have both a coffe pot and Keurig. Loved that we had direct access to the beach. Make sure you get up early to watch the amazing sunrise, it was a different show every morning!! We will be back
