Artist's home with a beautiful mountain view and convenient location.

This home is clean, spacious, and private. It has a contemporary feel while being completely comfortable and artistic. The owner is an artist and her work and creative touches are all over the home. It has 2 stories, 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, wrap around deck that is partially covered, overlooking the mountain range called Black Rock. Downstairs is a spacious den where you can stream your favorite show on Netflix, play cards, work on a puzzle, dabble on the piano, or right outside is a covered patio with a 5 human hot tub. There is a laundry room available as well. It is the last house on the road and very private and is surrounded by 6.5 acres.
The house is 4 miles from downtown Sylva (galleries, restaurants, a brew pub), off highway 23/74 but tucked away; 9 miles from WCU campus, a 3 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance, 12 miles to Waynesville, 21 miles to Harrah's Casino and the Cherokee Indian reservation, and a 50 minute drive from Asheville. It is 40 miles from the Nantahala Gorge and river, and 27 miles to Maggie Valley. There is rafting, hiking, horseback riding, lakes, rivers, shopping, music all around. Other interesting areas nearby include: waterfalls from Franklin to Highlands, Deep Creek hiking trails/ fishing and the Smoky Mountain Railroad in Bryson City.
The home has strong WiFi for streaming and 2 smart TV's to use your apps on. A brand new HVAC unit has been installed. The homeowner will work with you on extended stay rates. Please inquire!! FYI this home no longer accepts pets.

The view was about as good as it gets in NC. The house had everything we needed and an amazing hot tub. Overall great place to stay.

Hidden Gem in mountains !

Perfect Views

The cabin was comfortable and clean. Plenty of space for our family. The yard was beautiful and the hot tub made the stay even better. We loved the privacy. Short driving distance from all the attractions we wanted to see, perfect location.

Great view and great hospitality

Thanks so much for providing this home for our short Christmas getaway. We wanted some beautiful views for our stay and we definitely got that. Lara the property manager was super nice and was easy to communicate with during the stay. The home is lovely and we could bring our dog too! The hot tub is awesome too!

Great stay in the mountains

The property was clean, peaceful and well equipped .The mountain view was fabulous every morning and evening . Eating and reading on the porch was wonderful . Only one of the beds was a little hard and could use a soft mattress topper, otherwise we loved the property.

Great Visit

Great place with a a great view

We had a great time. The cabin was wonderful and roomy for our family. Cabins location is in between towns so not far to go get food, etc. the view from the living room and porch were spectacular. Loved seeing the view daily. We will definetly be staying there again in the future!

Amazing Mountain Retreat

Lara's place was amazing. The views each morning were spectacular. The hot tub was an amazing feature, and the house was recently renovated to open up the kitchen which was gorgeous. Comfortable beds, and lots of space for hanging out, reading, and lounging. We can't wait to book this location again!

Incredible stay in a beautiful property

Really enjoyed out time at this rental. The views were great, and the coolest part about it was the house itself. Lots of beautiful artwork all throughout the house that makes it a really unique stay. Lots of room to relax both inside and outside on the porch. Hot tub was incredible! Would definitely recommend.

Porch Dreams are Made of!

This property is everything my family could have asked for! The house has a lot of great space but we needed up spending most of our time on the amazing porch that has stunning views! The hot tub with the same views was an added bonus! Will stay here again!

Perfect for relaxing getaway.

Property was exactly as described. We felt right at home and comfortable as soon as we walked in. Private and quiet on a dead end road. Home is well stocked with everything you might need. And Lara was great to work with. We would definitely stay here again.

Hello. A little bit about me... I am an Artist through and through and this is how I see the world. I have been displaced from my art for a time and intend for this rental to help steer me back. I currently am a counselor for the Cherokee Indian Hospital. I am originally from Florida, and have lived here in Sylva 20+ years. I have adopted these beautiful mountains as my own and am willing to share any information to help your stay be a memorable one.

I bought this house because it spoke to my artistic side. It was a fixer upper. I put on a new deck and a new roof. I have stuccoed and painted many of the walls and ceilings. I have also refinished the kitchen cabinets. Of course, I can't help but put an artistic touch on everything that I do. A lot of the artwork and sculpture is my own work. I have put a lot of love into the rebirth of this house and hope you get a chance to see it.

This home has all of the amenities without needing to be state of the art. It is very comfortable and clean and has a lot of personality. It is in a convenient and easy location and feels very private. It also has a hot tub that overlooks a fantastic view. Read a book, watch the news, take a nap on the downstairs chaise, soak in the tub, or plan your day's adventure.
