The Madison Log Cabin sleeps up to 4 on the historic Ennis Homestead property in the Madison River Valley complete with free wifi, an outdoor garden, and a property-shared outdoor summer pool/hot tub​ for guest use (note that two other cabins reside nearby on the gated property).

Activities nearby: Fishermen will have plenty of choices of where to go: the Madison River, in Yellowstone National Park and on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. Other great activities include hiking, mountain biking, shopping and dining in the small western town of Ennis, and visiting historic Virginia City.

    Quiet and Pretty

    Lovely property and cozy cabin. We were in Ennis for a wedding and really enjoyed this location and home. Comfortable beds and good kitchen for making breakfast.

    Really enjoyed our stay, very nice cabins, hot tub and pool were clean. A lot of spiders and spiderwebs around the cabin.

    This place has a lot of potential but we were very disappointed overall. Found several spiders inside the cabin including the bathtub upon arrival. Spider webs everywhere outside and all around the pool fence!Also, the main reason we stayed was for the pool. We planned to swim all afternoon and when we checked the temp in a.m. it was ice cold I reached out to the number provided and they said they would turn up the heat. Changed plans due to pool issue and went for a drive instead of swimming got back and checked pool again noticed no difference in temp. Reached out again and expressed our disappointment and they said sorry you are disappointed but no one else has said this was an issue. Overall the customer experience for us was a zero! Instead of trying to resolve or rectify the issue they blame the customer.

    My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at The Madison in the Ennis Homestead. Check-in instructions were clear and easy, the unit was so quaint and really had that Montana feel. The location was perfectly situated within walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Ennis. The grounds were well maintained. It was nice to have a small kitchen and barbecue as we cooked our dinner one night.We had a unique issue during our stay... one of the smoke detectors in the unit began to "chirp" at about 10 PM. We located where it was coming from, and it was too high for us to deal with on our own, as we did not have a ladder. We got a bit concerned that we might have to deal with this all night as it was such a late hour. I called the contact number in the binder that was in the unit, left a voicemail message, and IMMEDIATELY we received a call back from the person who manages the unit. Despite the late hour, she told us this was a first, and was at the unit with a ladder within 10 minutes! She was very apologetic, and took care of our issue right away. I was very impressed with the service we received!! I highly recommend this property. We will definitely return on our future trips to Ennis, MT!

    Quaint little cabin located in the perfect spot! A country feel that had immediate city access. Pool was perfect for the hot sunny days, and the cabin was cozy. Will definitely be back!

    Beautiful gated property with comfortable beds and an unbeatable location within walking distance of everything Ennis has to offer. We loved the beautifully manicured green lawn and the surrounding trees, which created such a peaceful, serene atmosphere whether we were relaxing on the porch or enjoying the pool and hot tub.This is the perfect place for a family reunion, large group gathering, or even a quiet getaway for one or two couples staying in one of the charming cabins. The flexibility of renting the entire Homestead or individual cabins makes it ideal for any size group.We will definitely be staying here again the next time we're in Ennis. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

    We enjoyed our stay at the Madison. The cabin was comfortable and quite. Just a block off Main Street allowing you to walk to restaurants and shops. Great access to the Madison River.

    I grew up in Ennis and absolutely 100% recommend this cabin—the location, amenities, communication, and cleanliness are just unbeatable. I will legitimately rearrange vacation plans to ensure that I can rent this cabin while visiting home.

    just perfect

    the cabin was exactly as pictured in the photos. it was clean and comfortable for our 2 week stay. any little thing we needed was provided with a smile within 10 minutes. also the small herd of deer that showed up around 4pm daily was delightful. the pool and spa looked wonderful but we were spending our days fishing and did not take advantage of them. thank you for a really great vacation.

    Lovely and well appointed cabin!

    We had an issue with the lockbox being broken, but a quick call resolved that and someone quickly met us at the cabin with a key. The bed was comfy, the furnishings were charming, and the kitchen was equipped with a nice selection of cooking implements. My only disappointment was that there was no coffee or coffee filters. For the price of this cabin, it would be very nice to have had some complimentary coffee available in the morning for use in the coffee maker. Otherwise - just a lovely spot! Sending best wishes!

    A delightful, rustic cabin in the heart of Ennis

    The property was roomy, very convenient to the town, attractive and well maintained. The pool looked inviting. We loved the soaking bath in the unit after a long hike. We thought there were only a couple of items needed - more cutlery, a lighter weight duvet for summer occupancy and more than 40 watt lighting at the bedside. The duvet supplied would be very cozy for a winter stay. However, we would definitely recommend this cabin.

    Great accommodation, and friendly staff. Close to the Main Street to walk to most of the few restaurants and shops in Ennis. Lighting is a little dark inside is my only concern. Hope to stay again.

They are part of the Ennis community and can stare you in the right direction to make your vacation an outstanding experience. In winter, Michael enjoys the outdoors. Anna often finds herself entertaining friends and visitors to the area. In summer the two enjoy hiking together, when they have time.

    The Ennis Homestead Madison Cabin was refurbished from its beginnings to the comfortable log cabin which is today. The Ennis Homestead property is large enough that two other log cabins and a pool exist on the property. The Madison and Yellowstone log cabins are smaller than the Main House rental.

    The Madison Cabin sits on a private 1.49 acres in the heart of Ennis, Montana. This luxurious cabin is within walking distance to many restaurants & shops & fishing the Madison River. Step back in time to a unique mix of western & local history, luxuriate with modern conveniences. The log cabin retains it log character with styled floors, fireplace and cozy rooms. Two other homes were built on the property and also are available for rental. This property is very private, fenced with an outdoor swimming pool and makes a great place to relax for travelers and families.
