We can highly recommend a stay at this property! The setting is idyllic, the home is spacious and very comfortable, everything you could need is available and Lily, the host, was easily available for communication. The autumnal foliage was spectacular and we likely hit the peak of the season. A bald eagle visited every day, swooping from tree to tree. A great place to decompress and relax. Thank you so much, Lily, for allowing us to stay there!

Excellent retreat on the water in NS

The location was great. Lovely property with great views. Short drive to highway, beach and New Glasgow. Very well equipped rental with everything you could need. Communications with the host were very clear and helpful.

Beautiful, very well stocked home. Great coms with Lily. Will definitely recommend to others and be back ourselves. By far the nicest place we've ever stayed at.

Delightful!

A delightfully decorated home, comfortable furnishings, and incredible views!After several sightseeing days, this was the perfect place to relax during a rainy day. Because of the weather, we did not walk down to the dock or use the spacious outdoor decks. The owners responded quickly to any questions and the house was well stocked. It was a delightful stay!

A beautiful home. The pictures don’t due it justice. Lily was extremely attentive and answered our requests promptly. The house has comfortable furniture and excellent quality sheets and towels, as well as everything you’d ever need in the kitchen! We loved the sunrises out the kitchen windows, and deck with plenty of seating and cushions.

Absolute gem!

We could not have been happier with our stay at Lily's beautiful home. The house is so perfectly designed and decorated that we immediately felt completely relaxed and superbly cared for. And the grounds are stunning. The view from the deck is gorgeous, and the dock is such a fun hang-out spot. It was difficult to get ourselves out to see the sights, we were so happy both indoors and out. And Lily was a wonderful host--so pleasant and helpful. My family and I could not recommend this place more highly.

Katherine and her family are welcome back any time. Excellent communication throughout the booking process and during the visit -- responsible, respectful and conscientious in every way. They left the place in such good order that we wondered if anyone had even been there :)

An Ideal Getaway

We enjoyed every minute of our trip to Nova Scotia but the highlight was definitely the accommodations here. The property is gorgeous, not too isolated, and allowed us to recharge and relax after touring the nearby attractions and coast.Our hosts were attentive and kind, and their collective charm was reflected in the property - a bright and inspiring space, to say the least! Highlights included the deck and dock, a firefly-lit field at night, and all the nature/wildlife that surrounds the area. All the local people we met were kind and courteous. It was all a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of downtown Calgary, where we call home.I’d recommend this holiday home for anyone curious about what Nova Scotia, specifically Pictou County, has to offer! It met and exceeded all expectations.

Fabulous Experience

The cottage is bright, clean and well equipped. The location is idyllic. Private, great view and plenty of wildlife sightings. We miss morning coffee on the front deck! Lily and Dave are delightful and engaging hosts. We look forward to our next stay.

Peaceful

My husband and I have been exploring our own province for the past few years, trying a different location every year. I have loved every location and house but this is the best one yet. We have already decided to come back. House is beautifully decorated and immaculate. Huge deck, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or evening beverage. Dock was a definite bonus. Spent an entire day there. One thing, wear sunscreen. It was windy on the dock which kept it cool so I didn’t realize I was getting a bad sunburn. This is a very quiet, serene location which we loved. We had plans to visit New Glasgow and Picto which we didn’t do until what was suppose to be our last day as we never wanted to leave the property. We actually stayed an extra day and visited Melmerby Beach. Definitely do that. It was worth it. Next time we will be staying longer. Highly recommend this property. Also, lily responded to our inquiries immediately which was fantastic.

It was fabulous.

Beautiful cottage, and location. The sunrise over the harbour was so colorful. We enjoyed every minute. We plan to go back.

Warm and Welcoming!

Has Joanna Gaines come to Nova Scotia? That was my first impression as we entered the house! Seeing the lovely pictures online, I knew we had picked a winner, but in reality, the vacation property is so much more! Brand new, bright, and beautifully decorated, the house is a gem. The grounds and view are equally as stunning. So warm and welcoming, the house quickly became our" home away from home". It is centrally located, and we used it as our base camp to visit many sites in Nova Scotia. The owners were so sweet and easy to contact, yet they totally respected our privacy. Additionally, the rental fees were very reasonable for such lovely accommodations. Thank you, Lily and Dave, for your gracious hospitality. We wish you all the best with your ongoing endeavors.

Waterfront Gem in Nova Scotia.

Owners' pride shines in this beautiful beach coast vibe home. All amenities provided with an attention to detail that simply made us feel welcomed the moment we arrived. We immediately recognized how special this property is. We felt at home and enjoyed the wonderfully thought out decor and beauty of the location. The privately situated home sits on a one acre waterfront lot. Large private dock allowing swimming and water activities. We watched sail boats go by on this very quiet harbour. Exceptionally clean with all you need to enjoy your Maritime visit. We have rented other properties before but this one is our all time favourite. Thank you Lily and Dave!

We will definitely be returning!

A 'Lil bit of Paradise

We were so excited to stay at this location and in this beautiful new home, and our hosts Lily and Dave lived up to our expectations and beyond. The home is situated in a lovely location with gorgeous views of the water. It is a super clean home and very comfy. The owners took extreme love and care in designing, building and decorating this lovely home -- their "labour of love". We were overjoyed and just can't say enough great things about it all. The kitchen is well stocked. As renters, we always leave a home as we found it and we cleaned it before we left. We will be returning for sure. Thank you so much Lily & Dave. Diana and Duncan
