Enjoy a private detached luxury guest house in the exclusive East Bay Hills.

One bedroom with sleeper sofa in the living room, gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, living room, private bathroom, private parking, wonderful bay view, private backyard.

Sleeps up to four (4) only. (California King bed, sofa bed and futon) Gated Estate.

Washer/Dryer available for guests who book seven (7) or more consecutive days.

This reservation was booked and accepted last minute. The property manager sent messages confirming the reservation and provided information that the check in instructions would be provided day of. The reservation was then unexpectedly cancelled the day of check in for no reason and with no communication from property manager.

Lovely cottage

The Old Fairview Cottage is the perfect place to stay while in the Bay Area. It’s got views of the hills and the bay and is nestled behind the the gated entry of the main house making it super safe and secure. I was lucky enough to stay here while a beautiful tree outside the bedroom window was in full bloom. The owners are very gracious and responsive, making check in/out a breeze. The cottage itself is clean, comfy and has everything you need. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area! 5+++ stars!

Nice neighborhood, but nothing special here

No wifi, internet, couldnt watch TV, no AC for those warm days, fan not adequate, furniture old, Vrbo pics are old. The main thing was cleanliness, you'd expect At least as clean as a hotel room. We never used appliances, but we're accused of breaking a microwave, when we ordered Kentucky fried chicken, for dinner Really pathetic Finally, stayed at hampton inn, left within 4 hours of no communication. Gave up. Nice area, but not a nice rental. As a vrbo renter, an previous host Mercado round home. We know what it should be. We should not let Hosts get away with this behavior !

So much better than a hotel!

We were in the area for a graduation and had considered a hotel. This home was so much better than a hotel! The neighborhood is beautiful, this guest home is tucked away for privacy, there's a locked gate for safety and privacy, and the owners are delightful! The home worked great for my husband and our teenage son. The bedroom is tucked away from the family room, so our son was able to play his Xbox when we had downtime, and we didn't feel like we were invading each others' spaces. He also loved the soft futon. It might not be the best location for elderly folks as there is a grassy area with pavers and some small steps to get into the home. However, once inside, the home is very accessible with everything on one level, no uneven floors, and a short step-in shower. We only think of these things because we often travel with my elderly parents. Lastly, the homeowners were just the perfect amount of available and absent so that we truly felt like we were on vacation, but could communicate with them easily through the listing website. They were very welcoming and we would definitely stay at their guest home again.

Perfect for our family

This is a great property. It is gated and safe. The kitchen well stocked and modern. Check in was a breeze. Very comfy for our stay. We highly recommend it.

Safe, quiet, modern accomodation

Property was a great mother-in-law set up, separated from the main house and very much felt like a private property. Very secure as property was gated. Host welcomed us, went over things, and saw us off at the end of stay. Great communication on questions we had in advance of stay. Would stay there again. Great views of S.F. bay driving up to property.

My only complaint is that there is no AC and I hit a really hot day/night. With only fans it was tough to sleep.

Fantastic Stay!

Property was fantastic in a quiet neighborhood. Stayed for two weeks while working in the are, loved the full kitchen and comfortable feel of the place. Host was responsive and accommodating. Definitely will stay again when back in the area.

Incredible location, pleasant stay

We stayed 2 nights for a Rugged Maniac Race in Pleasanton CA. We had everything we needed from the guest house, and a Safeway was just down the street for groceries. The property was beautiful, and the owners were very communicative and respectful of our privacy. My ONLY complaint would be the pull out couch. I’m a fairly restless sleeper, and moving at all was extremely loud and disruptive to my friend sleeping on the futon across from me. Overall very happy with our stay!!

Exactly as advertised - no hidden surprises

The guest house, privacy, and pictures were 100% accurate! Sometimes pictures on these websites can be deceiving, but not in this case - it's very clean and well maintained. Stayed 3 nights for a visit to the corporate office and only saw the owners when I checked in.
