After 2 long term rentals now finally back on the Short Term Rental Market! Central yet quiet can not live it. The villa is located in Parrot truly unique location in the most beautiful part of the famous Bo Kaaps. Actually, a real enclave is in the middle of cozy and surrounded by greenery and garden. Here, art, design and light objects come together. In the middle of Old Town Cape Town is our original and newly renovated holiday home - the Parrot Villa. Dock your iPhone in the ZIKMU speaker of P. Starck, take in your favorite music in a bath tub of the illuminated WET and enjoy the many lovely details of our home in the light of the unique light objects of Cattellani & Smith. The Russian artist Alexander Lochenkov has finished with his typical technique some of the walls - in other walls hang pictures of modern M. Bergh and N. Nongogo. A spiral staircase from the 19th century as leading from the kitchen to the spacious bedroom with the WET bathroom elements and a comfortable four-poster bed. From here it goes to the balcony and the roof terrace. From the roof you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama. Table Mountain, harbor, Signal Hill and Lions Head and Cape Town's vibrant city center lies at your feet here.
Since I operate in Germany, among other things, a gallery for contemporary art in South Africa - hang in our houses always pictures 'park between' there. So if you are interested in one or the other image - no problem - you can find everything available for purchase almost.
The Bo Kaap is next to the immediately adjacent Waterkant a rapidly rising district. The numerous colorful houses and mosques are open daily many tourists for a stroll.
Many television -and Films are shot in the streets and roads of Bo Kaap. The high-quality equipment can compete with any luxury suite and also a fast WiFi connection is available.

Aufenthalt während Lockdown

Die Wohnung ist nach meinem Geschmack als Altstadthaus modern und interessant eingerichtet. Die Terasse ist aufregend, jedoch nur einfach gestaltet. Lediglich der mit den vielen Nachbarn gemeinsam genutzter Hinterhof, über den das Haus auch betreten werden muss, erscheint ziemlich ungepflegt.

Wir waren über Silvester dort, es ist ein Townhouse mit liebe zum Detail, nur 3 Gehminuten entfernt vom Green market Square und ca 20 Minuten Gehzeit zur V&A Waterfront! Der Rumdumblick von der Dachterrasse auf den Tafelberg etc ist super schön!

Great Stay

Had a great stay in this unique property. Roof top terrace fab with great view of table mountain & the city. Would highly recommend but just be aware of the area you are staying in, we walked around during the day & Uber at night. We had a plumbing issue one evening which was attended to super fast by Ncumisa, who came back from an evening out to attend which was not expected but thankyou.

Einfach toll!

Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl und Dank Ncumisa sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt, sodass wir den Aufenthalt in Kapstadt genießen konnten. Einmalig ist der Ausblick von der Dachterrasse auf die Dächer von Kapstadt und den Tafelberg.

Best to have a car

We loved the house, amazing bath and very interesting decor. The only downside was we didn’t have a car and kept being told the area was not safe to walk around after dark. If you have a car I would recommend this place.

Perfectly situated. Within walking distance of city centre, Waterfront and local shops snd resturant

Clean and tidy inside. Had everything you would expect in a rental home. The shower is lovely. Hot water every time. Lovely to lay in bed and watch the sunrise through the patio doors onto the terrace. The garden could do with a bit of maintenance as sharp thorns on branches have grown across the terrace. The sunbeds on the roof are a bonus late afternoon after a day of sightseeing and of course the view of Table Mountain is superb. The key lady is very welcoming and always responded immediately to any queries we had. We felt quite safe staying here especially with the electronic gate at the entrance to the compound. All in all we enjoyed our 2 week stay.

Alles wie beschrieben, sehr gute Lage. Von der Dacherrasse hat man einen schönen Blick auf den Tafelberg. Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber - auch eine Abreise um 05:00 Uhr morgens war kein Problem.

Enjoyed our stay.

The apartment overall was ok but the living area on the ground floor is very dark and the circular stairs were a pain to keep going up and down to the bedroom. The circular stairs to the sun deck is an accident waiting to happen with a sharp end of one of the steps being at head height for anyone taller than 5ft. The sun deck would also benefit from a table and chairs allowing better use of this space.

Gute Zeit im Bo-Kaap

Eine tolle Zeit in einer tollen Stadt. Man wohnt in einem alten Viertel und auch das Haus ist eben kein Neubau. Dafür liegt es zentral und sofern man mit dem Taxi/Uber unterwegs ist, befindet man sich auf der „sicheren Seite“. Schade: Das Viertel wird nach und nach mit Hochhäusern zugebaut wird. Den Blick von der Dachterasse gibt es -wie auf dem Foto gezeigt-leider so nicht mehr. Trotzdem hatten wir eine gute Zeit.

Great accomodation in downtown Cape Town

We loved our stay in Bo-Kaap. The townhouse is charming, with great views of Table Mountain and Lion's Head from the roof top terrace. It is in a great location, a few blocks away from shopping, restaurants and the headquarters of the CitySightseeing Hop-on Hop-off bus. It is also in a gated courtyard so provides extra security. We would however suggest guests try to arrive during daylight hours, as arriving after dark was a little frightening, given the city's homeless problem.

Eine etwas in die Jahre gekommene Ferienwohnung

Positiv: das sicher abgestellte Auto im Innenhof. Negativ: Anders, als auf den Fotos dargestellt, gab es weder Nachttischlampen, noch ein Schränkchen für Badutensielen. Auch den Toaster suchte man vergeblich. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung sehr dunkel und es gab keinen "normalen" Stuhl im ganzen Haus, lediglich eine 30 cm hohe Couch (den abgebildeten Couchtisch gibt es nicht mehr) und drei Barhocker. Mein Mann hat mir dann zum Geburtstag einen Stuhl geschenkt, der hoffentlich den nächsten Mieter erfreut. Der Lichtschalter für die Beleuchtung im Schlafzimmer liegt über der Wendeltreppe nach unten. Die Strommenge ist rationiert, was dazu führte, dass uns nachts um 3 die Alarmanlage aus dem Schlaf schreckte, um zu melden, dass ihre Batterie gleich den Geist aufgibt. Der Strom fürs Licht muss schon früher in der Nacht ausgefallen sein. Also nie ohne Taschenlampe ins Bett.

In Kapstadt zu Hause

Ein besonderes Domizil, dass einem Besucher vermittelt mittendrin und doch ganz besonders zu wohnen. Zu Fuss erreichbare touristische Ziele sind ein besonderer Wert. Sehr gut der verschließbare Stellplatz. Toll das stylische Innenleben des Hauses. Ein Bewegungsmelder für die architektonisch gelungene Treppe wäre wünschenswert. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Unique apartment accommodation in an excellent location

We had an excellent four night stay at this apartment with unique interior design. The roof terrace views of the surrounding mountains and buildings are fabulous. The location is excellent with the city centre and other attractions within easy walking distance. For travel further a field we used a car for which there is secure parking. The owner made us very welcome and supported us fully throughout the stay.

Tolle Unterkunft in super Lage!

Wir durften hier 6 Tage nächtigen und haben eine tolle Zeit gehabt. Die Unterkunft ist super cool designed und die Lage als Ausgangspunkt für alle Aktivitäten bestens geeignet! Es gibt einen Parkplatz für das Mietauto. Die Dachterrasse ist klasse und man kann den Tafelberg und die Stadt sehen. Im Sommer wird es allerdings sehr heiß, da die Sonne den ganzen Tag rein knallt und die Durchlüftung etwas schwierig ist - also kann man durchaus günstig „saunieren“;-) Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hat sehr gut geklappt. Es haperte etwas an Grundaussattung (kein Toilettenpapier, kein Spülmittel, nur Rest Handseife), was aber nicht so schlimm war, da wir improvisieren konnten und kaum in der Wohnung waren. Ansonsten alles top!

Ein traumhaftes Domizil im Herzen des Bo Kaap

Wer die Innenstadtnähe von Kapstadt sucht, der ist hier - direkt im Bo Kaap Viertel von Cape Town - hervorragend aufgehoben. Ein stylisches kleines Haus mit schicken Design-Elementen, einer herrlichen Dusche und eben der tollen Aussicht auf der Dachterrasse erwarten den Reisenden. Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt.

Villa Parrot is perfectly appointed and situated for full immersion in the vibrant city life of Cape Town. Ten minute walk to centre of town, sublime views of it from rooftop terrace, and easy yet safe access to this very comfortable suite in the middle of Bo Kaap neighborhood.
