The main living and dining area is designed to take advantage of natural light and lake outlooks, creating a calm and welcoming space for shared stays. A covered balcony extends the living area outdoors and includes seating and a dining setup, making it ideal for meals with a view or relaxed evenings overlooking Lake Jindabyne. The home is kept warm and comfortable during winter with sufficient heating throughout all rooms, ensuring year-round usability.

Updated in 2020, the fully renovated kitchen features modern appliances and is well stocked for self-catering and entertaining. The property also includes a full laundry with a third toilet, along with dedicated ski storage space. Parking consists of a single lock up garage plus one outdoor space. Please note the garage has a low clearance of 1.9 metres and is positioned on a slope, and access to the property is via stairs from the parking area.

The place was comfortable, and felt very homey. Amazing lakeside views, close to the main town and had a lot of kitchen utensils and appliances to use. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms spacious and clean. Laundry was great with two clothes racks to place wet clothes in. I loved the fetch TV set box. We watched the Grinch as a group. Only small issues: there were some minor stains on the couch and knives were blunt. All in all, a great place to stay in.

Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily come back.I'll address the elephant in the room first. When we arrived, there was quite a strong curry smell throughout the apartment that lingered, although it gradually became less noticeable during our stay. If you can look past that, or you're a fellow curry lover, you'll be just fine! The apartment is a little older, but it's spacious, comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Just keep in mind there is a flight of stairs from the car park down to the apartment entrance, which is worth noting if you have mobility concerns or lots of luggage. The beds were clean and comfortable, the linen was fresh, and the balcony overlooking the lake was an absolute highlight. Waking up to those views each morning was beautiful.The location is easily 5 stars. It's right on the lake, only minutes from the shops, cafés and restaurants in Jindabyne, and an easy scenic drive to the snowfields. You really couldn't ask for a better base location.The kitchen was functional and made cooking easy, but it's worth knowing that it's essentially empty when it comes to pantry basics. Bring or buy your own oil, seasonings and other cooking essentials. The cookware, crockery and cups were a little well loved and could probably do with a refresh, or at least a thorough clean, but they did the job.Overall, if you're looking for a comfortable, well located place with stunning lake views and don't mind a property with a bit of c

We're glad the curry smell eased off during your stay and I can let you know all signs (and smells) are now gone with a good air out. Really glad the beds, linen and balcony views delivered — waking up to the lake each morning is pretty hard to beat! We appreciate the honest feedback on the cookware and pantry basics. We do provide a $50 Friendly Grocer voucher with every booking to help guests stock up on arrival, and we'll take note on the cookware and crockery needing a refresh. Heating issues not addressed - rude staff

Older style apartment in a good location with ok facilities. BUT. The heating issues are not addressed despite the response to the earlier review saying they were - there are 4 hour timers on tiny radiators, our kids were very cold and not cosy. No gas in bbq so buying meat on the last night turned out to be a waste - most probably I should have checked first rather than assume the advertised bbq would work. Three rude and surly cleaning staff who deliberately parked us in at exactly 10AM - we left the apartment prior to 10AM but lugging all our stuff up the narrow stairs to road level and then trying to pack our car took a few minutes longer than expected. When asked to move their car they were snarky to my wife. Unpleasant end to a very average stay.

Hi Philip, Thank you for your review of Aranda 3. We are aware of the heating issues and the owners have been trying to get reverse cycle installed at the property since May but we are waiting on the AC tech to be available. Gas BBQ's can run out of gas which does not mean the advertised BBQ is not operational it just means the gas bottle needs to be swapped. We are more than happy to do this for and provide an after hours number for this reason. Otherwise we are more than happy to reimburse a guest if they swapped the bottle over themselves during their stay. Gas levels for BBQ's are very difficult to monitor to ensure they never run out. We will speak to our cleaning staff about the incident and we apologise that you were treated like this. Accommodation Jindabyne

Comfortable but dated

Stayed recently at Aranda (Aug 17). Apartment was clean and tidy, with plenty of linen. The apartment has a good location overlooking the lake and fairly close to the town centre. Heating is definitely an issue which needs addressing, 4 hour timings using tiny heaters are just not acceptable. Internet connection also needs to be included in future.

Hi Vince, Thank you for review of Aranda 3. We are aware of the heating issues and the owners have been trying to get reverse cycle AC installed at the property but we are waiting on the AC tech to be available. Majority of owners have been waiting on NBN to be installed in Jindabyne before looking into internet at their property. During winter the service can be very unreliable due to the amount of people in town and the very little service infrastructure we have to support the demand. Accommodation Jindabyne

Not as advertised

The apartment was very comfortable and roomy. There were a few negatives. After a 4 & 1/2 hour drive with 5 children to arrive and still have to make up all the beds was disappointing. This was after many failed attempts to park our 4 wheel drive and trailer. Although the property is listed as having car parking and boat parking, it is only suitable for smaller cars and as a result we had to park on the street each night. The property is also advertised as heated, whilst this is correct, to keep the unit warm we were required to press a reset button every 4 hours to keep the heaters going. This meant that during the day while on the slopes the unit became very cold and through the night many trips to the front door to reset timer. For the cost of the unit per night, heating should be 24/7 given the location and use of the property and to arrive and be able to go to bed in comfort should be taken into consideration by the management.

Thank you for your feedback. We have taken your comments into consideration and the beds will now be made prior to arrival for all bookings, the heating issues have been addressed and the timer for the heating has been reset.
