The MORORAN RIVER. Tumauini’s pride, National Finalist in the 1999 Annual Gawad Pangulo sa KAPALIGIRAN on Cleanest Inland Body of Water- Category A. It is situated at Barangay Dy-Abra and one of the waterways that criss-cross the municipal territory led by the mighty Cagayan River and the winding life-giving waters of the Pinacanauan river, creeks, ponds and lakes of various shapes and sizes and the landscapes, providing “oasis” as it were to thirsty people, crops, and animals. The river is perhaps the most undisturbed river in the Cagayan Valley Region because of its remoteness. Its crystal-clear waters are clean and the rocky riverbanks are proofs that it remains untouched.
